So...he had a consult with another surgical Doctor yesterday.

They will be removing part of my dad upper jaw and replacing it with a prosthetic device...also they will put in a feeding tube as he will not be able to eat or talk for a while. As far as cancer treatments... they do not know what they will do as far as chemo or radiation until they have more info.

Other test schedule next week...

Looking into canceling my trip at the end of the month with DS17...depends on the timing...glad I checked that box for Vacation Insurance. DS17 will be very disappointed...but life happens.

That's difficult to hear for your dad and your son. Unfortunately, you get to use this and teach him another life lesson. Prayers for all of you.

Need some prayers guys...

My Dad had a setback last night. Had to go to the ER.

He had his foley removed yesterday and was unable to "go" at all.

So he's back to a foley.

So we'd appreciate your prayers and hope that it's something that returns to normal soon!

A gentleman I know from another forum just posted that his wife was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer with metastasis to multiple organs a month ago. She is in hospital now and they signed the DNR order last night. Only palliative treatment will be given. If you would remember Larry and his wife Vickie they would appreciate the prayers.

Well I mentioned some thing on anther thread so I guess I should put the info here.
My wife has been dealing with some issues lately( last few months0. She had blood work done and her blood count were low. She has been going to the doctors every other week and they have been trying to figure out what the problem is. The good news is after several test they said it was NOT cancer, they did more testing and then said it was not some other things which my pea brain cannot remember.
Now the bad news is they still could not figure out what is killing off her blood cells..They have been trying different things with her including pumping 80mg's of some steroid (which is a very high dose from what other docs are saying. she was due to go to the docs today but had an episode at work yest.
The following was a post I had put on a private group of friends on fb.

I am putting this here so the rest of face book land doesn't see it . Not sure who knows but Deb was 911'd to the hospital this morning. I got a call from her boss and she told me Deb had went non responsive at work and was out for what she felt like was an eternity but really about 5-7 mins. They shot her over to St Marys where She almost passed out again later in the morning trying to walk to bathroom. They have been drawing blood all day and running some tests.They admitted her for the next day or two so they can monitor her levels. She was looking pretty bad this morning but seems to be looking a lot better as the day went on.Put a big scare into me this am receiving the call but seems like she is doing better. will let you guys know if I hear anything else

Wow, that's some scary stuff. I'll be saying a prayer for her. Hopefully they can get this figured out and under control quickly.
