~*~*~*~*The Official DECEMBER 2015 Thread*~*~*~*~

Do they have special Disney stuff at that one?!

My first instinct is YES! we will have to work that in. But AG and Disney all in the same Christmas season? I don't think my wallet could handle it. :rotfl:

No special Disney stuff. Would that not be the coolest? I would not be able to contain myself. Nor would DD.

I had thought it would be at DTD. But, I was wrong.

I got side tracked by the AG post...

I now have a dilemma. My boss told us today that the daycare I work at will be closing on the 15th. I am kind of freaking out about it. We are in the midst of selling our house, DH is working and going to school. His retirement check from the AF doesn't go that far. I had been asked if I would take a few kids in my home, but, it's a pay cut. :confused3 I really don't want to start a new job because of the house being on the market. Wish I knew the right choice to make.

That is quite a dilemma! You are planning to move to Florida correct? If you take the children in your home, at least it will be a paycheck! Then you could move without having too much to worry about. I'm not sure what to tell you! Please keep us posted!

Yes. Planning on moving to FL. I don't want to be a grown up anymore:laughing:

We are booked for Christmas :santa: . Our dates are December 19th to December 26th, and we are staying in our two bedroom, two bathroom villa at Sheraton Vistana Resort.

We'll be doing SeaWorld and Aquatica, the beach (assuming there's no cold snap) and ??? (we'll be looking for places that will offer us fun experiences and low crowds....a tall order during such a busy time of the year, I know :rolleyes2). I would love to get the family in on a MNSSHP but I have no idea if our travel dates will align with party dates.

We may try to squeeze ICE! at Gaylord Palms into the budget again this trip. We were there in 2012, and it was so festive and awesome!

This will be our second time enjoying Christmas in Orlando and I'm so excited! Sure beats freezin' out buns off here in the frosty north.

That would be a hard decision. Would you be able to do in home care and try to sell your house at the same time?

So, now I have a disney dilemma. I saw a post here on the boards about getting a better rate through a travel agency. Has anyone used one before? We are looking at actually being able to afford the Polynesian if we buy a room from this one agency at a convention rate. Would you be wary?

We are using a travel agency for the first time this summer. Got a great deal at the poly! Great experience so far!!!

We booked!! So, if you could switch us over to the Polynesian for Nov 28- Dec 5, please. :cheer2:

Does anyone know how hard it is to cancel the reservation we already made before? I need to do that, too.

Yay! Thank you! This waiting is going to KILL me. lol My first "stepping stone" will be when Christmas Party tickets go on sale in May, I guess. What's everyone doing "Disney-wise" to pass the time?

Well, I've got 334 days to go, but am so glad it's already booked.
Got bad news today, that my thyroid cancer is back, in my lymph nodes, so the trip will be even more important, give me more to look forward to when all the treatment is done. Keep your fingers crossed for me. :)

We have two other trips planned for this year. We'll be in Orlando for a week in May, and a week in October. Those two trips are just DH and I (couples time! :cool1:) and then Christmas will include DS and his GF too.

Thinking of you, and sending positive thoughts and healing vibes. Hang in there.

Oh no. Thinking of you & praying for you

Thank you. Will keep everyone posted off and on.
The good news is that the boss says I'll sill get to take time off to go on the trip, even if my surgery and such keep me from accruing enough time off. :)
