~*~*~*~*The Official DECEMBER 2015 Thread*~*~*~*~

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Now time for some serious Disney planning to start.

We can almost say "We are going to do Disney this year"!:goodvibes

I showed DH the pictures of the crowds over Christmas and he is not bothered by it one bit. I on the other hand am skeptical. But, Happy he wants to go so much.

I just switched my resort reservations to Coronado resort and I'm so excited for December to get here now! We are arriving on 18 December.:thumbsup2

We are heading there next year we go every two years in December but this time we will actually be there on Christmas Day ;). We are going to post 12/18-12/26
Congratulations!!! Have you decided on a Resort yet? :goodvibes

We've already changed our dates!

After seeing the horrific holiday crowd pictures yesterday, we've moved our trip up to December 1st through 11th!

Hubby upgraded us when we called to change our dates! Now staying at POFQ -- 1st time! :)
The first week of December is usually DEAD, it's a great time to be there! I will be there December 4-11th... Maybe we'll cross paths! :woohoo: Also, I have you added to the Roll Call!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I can't wait for park hours and things to come out so we can really start planning now!

We just kept thinking yesterday how this time next year we will be just back from Disney. It's going to make the presents under the tree a lot lighter but I think it will be an amazing trip! The only one I worry about is my son since he's 7 (DD will be 11) as far as not being happy with his presents but we'll pick up a couple of things here and there for Christmas so that they each have a couple of things to open Christmas morning. They've been asking for the Lego Death Star for 2 years so that may end up being their combined Santa gift next year and then a couple of small things from us.

Question for everyone -- do you do park hoppers or not? We didn't last time but we are thinking about them this time. Just back and forth on which way to go.
I'm a Park Hopper lover. I may not hop every day of my trip, but I do hop at least once or twice during the week, and that kind of flexibility that makes the extra money worth it to me. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Now time for some serious Disney planning to start.
What do you mean START? I've been in planning overdrive for 3 months! :lmao:

Long as you're prepared and go with your patience and a plan, you'll still have a great time! :goodvibes

Congrats! I have you updated! :cutie:

So DH agreed to Disney in December with my parents...

Not sure if we'll do the first or second week yet and not sure where we'll be staying (depends somewhat on whether or not my FIL comes too and discounts during that timeframe), but my parents will be at the FW campground.

:-)

Welcome to the December planning party! Get comfortable, we'll be here a while! :rotfl:

House is cleaned now I am bored and snowed in. So, you people get to put up me.:happytv:

What are you looking forward to the most on your Christmas trips?

Heres mine:
1.waking up on Christmas morning in DISNEYWORLD. Even if it is like this:crowded:

2. Osborne lights.

3.ALL the Christmas decorations.

4. Christmas parades.

5. And the memories to be made.

and secretly this is number one:for someone to say "Merry Christmas" to me in Hawaiin while at the Poly.

Please add us to the list for probable dates of Dec 13th-18th at an undecided resort. I usually book 500 days out, so this will be a "short" planning period. :rotfl:

Thanks! :)

HI Kohl1977! Looks like we are in the same group again. Nice to see you.:thumbsup2

Hi, Tink! :-)

1) Candlelight Processional
2) Osborne lights
3) MVMCP
4) a sleigh ride through FW
5) special fireworks and the Christmas parade and the castle all covered in twinkling lights!
6) being able to share Disney one more time with my parents and letting them see it through the eyes of their grandkids...

House is cleaned now I am bored and snowed in. So, you people get to put up me.:happytv: What are you looking forward to the most on your Christmas trips?

1. The decorations - that I don't have to put up or take down.
2. The ADR's - where I don't have to plan a menu, grocery shop, cook, or do dishes.
3. Seeing my daughter's face the first time she walks into MK and sees the castle.
4. Resort hopping to see the gingerbread creations.
5. Being completely immersed in "The Magic," and forgetting all the stressors of "real life," even if for just a few days.

346 days to go. It'll be here before I know it.

I have been practicing Hawaiian "Merry Christmas" with the kids this year so we are ready for our Poly stay next year too :)

I'm looking forward to EVERYTHING! We've never been for the Christmas decorations!!!

My youngest adores Christmas and adores light displays. When we take her driving around to look at the lights on the houses in our neighborhood, she points at several and says, "Look! It's so beautiful!"

Wait until she sees the Osborne lights!!! :yay:

I'm looking forward to the parades! I love parades and Disney doesn't have as many as they used to when we're there (usually in May & August)

We are excited to announce that we have finally decided on our dates for 2015!!! :dance3: November 28th - December 5th! We are traveling with a large group - my family (minus DD15), my parents and my sister with her 3 DDs for a total of 10 people. Oh, plus my sister's dog, :dogdance: so that means we have to stay off property. We will also be celebrating my now DD8's 9th birthday :dumbo: on the 29th as well as my DS1 first ever visit! :simba:

2014 has been full of medical issues for our family, which we hope are now behind us pixiedust: and we are sooo looking forward to this vacation!

What are you looking forward to the most on your Christmas trips?

Here's mine!

1. Surprising my kiddos! They don't know and won't know until the day we leave! I'm actually hoping I can pull it off as a fake trip to go on daddy's work trip with him and then on our "layover" at MCO tell them we're heading to Disney! That's what I'm leaning towards right now!

2. Seeing my girl's eyes when they see the Castle all lit up!

3. Osborne lights and spending more time looking at them... last (and only) time I saw them was running through them during the Wine and Dine!

4. My baby's first time at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! She's never been able to go because she was too young... so I can't wait to let her experience that!

5. Goes along with #4... eating in the Castle! Last time we did CRT my youngest was 18 months so she, obviously, doesn't remember it at all!

6. Checking our resort decorations!

My son will be turning five the week of our trip on December 2. SO I'm trying to decide if we should travel the first or the second of December?
If we travel on the second I will make it a surprise when we get to the airport. But the arrival day is so busy I, I kinda want to be at MK for his birthday. As I write this I think I like arriving on the first. Waking up at Disney on his birthday, character meal, his favorite rides, fireworks to end the night.
What Would You Do? I'll also take any ideas for birthday fun.
