Joining in! We booked a BB while at WDW last month for next Dec! We are doing Dec. 11 - 15th at GF SL! Can't wait to see the GF and WDW in all of it's holiday glory! We're almost at our 1 year mark!

Hello fellow July14 groupie. I MISS our group. We are planning a Christmas trip too. DH wants to wake up Christmas morning in Disney World.

Planning our 2nd Christmas trip, previous one was in 2012. We stayed for 11 days at BW in a deluxe CL room.

This time around we have booked 2 rooms at POR for Dec 19-27. We are surprising the kids on Christmas morning with a scavenger hunt letting them know the details so they can enjoy in the planning all year.

Counting down the days & having fun with the early planning.

Hello fellow July14 groupie. I MISS our group. We are planning a Christmas trip too. DH wants to wake up Christmas morning in Disney World.

I miss our group as well!!! Are you planning a July 15 trip? We are! I joined both the June and July groups as we are heading down June 30 and staying down for two weeks! Our Dec. trip is only a 4 night getaway to enjoy the holidays - I WISH we were going over actual Christmas - how magical to wake up in WDW! Someday my DH and I say we will do that!! Great to "see" you!

We are not planning a summer trip. We are moving to Florida this summer.

Congrats!!!! Tomorrow is one year for us, and we plan on telling the kids tomorrow night

We are planning on combining our kids love of story, myth, and adventure into how we are telling them we are going to Disney. We set-up a series of "quests" using clues, maps, etc.....and if they complete the quest, they will gain the prize that includes the Magic Bands.

if they do not complete the quest, well...we will just wait until they figure out we are going to Disney: "Why are we heading to the airport?" "I dunno...just because..."

We are in for December 2015! Our kids asked us a couple of weeks ago if we can go to Disney next year for Christmas. We warned them that it will mean a very very very light year under the tree but they seemed to get it and said let's do it! We were initially thinking mod level but my parents have decided to come with us for the first part of the trip so we decided to add Universal to see Harry Potter World. We went last November for the first time and fell in love with the whole place so we are super excited!

We are already booked -- 12/12 and 12/13 at Universal and then moving to Disney on 12/14. Staying at POP and checking out 12/20. My DD will turn 11 on the 19th and we were originally going to check out that day but who wants to leave Disney on their birthday! LOL!

Hoping free dining or the stay and play discount come out but going either way!

Hoping for Dec 8-130, Wilderness Lodge! Haven't booked yet in hopes of a free dining offer.

I feel ya! I went ahead and booked our stay at AoA, but when the military rates are released sometime over this summer, I am hoping to upgrade us to POFQ!

So jealous! Lately I've become moderately obsessed with the Grand Floridian. It's waaaaay out of my budget, but hopefully someday!

I made a day trip over to Universal on my last WDW trip, to finally experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was AMAZING! I didn't plan on going again on my next trip, but my aunt and uncle are going with me, and they are big Potter nerds like me, so we're going to do the day trip, but still stay at our Disney resort. Where are ya'll staying at Universal?

Elevationist - Had a package "delivered" to the front door addressed to the kids Friday night (they are obsessed with answering the door for the UPS guy this time of year! LOL!). The box included Disney Christmas sweatshirts, autograph books, and Disney gift cards for the trip, along with a letter from "Mickey" welcoming them back to the World. The kids were so excited....it could not have gone better! (Unless DD had read the letter FIRST instead of after emptying the box!!!)

However, my aunt and uncle that are traveling with me will be here for Christmas this year, so I've boxed up one each of all the Disney books and brochures that I have here in the office (I'm a travel agent) as well as the WDW Planning DVD, and I'm going to add in some Disney gift cards tonight as well, and then I'll wrap it up and put it under the tree for them. Basically just discussing plans, then re-planning, then re-planning some more, celebrating milestones during the days leading up to the trip, chit-chat about life, and just generally whiling away the days with company and making friends along the way.
