The Official Dec. 2010 Code Watch

Thank you so much for doing your math! The price difference isnt alot and could work out for us. As of right now we are still planning on Pop. If we can get dining then we will stay there but if the only "deal" is a % off then we will upgrade. We wont be in the room much but at least we can say that we stayed at a Mod!!!!!!!!

That's exactly my thinking. I'm really crossing my fingers for free dining at some point during December!

I've never gotten a PIN code, but keep saving December vacations hoping I'll trigger something. So far, no go....

I know. I got a bucnh of pins for early this year, but nothing yet for Dec....though the last two years I did get free dining pin for Dec before it went public...so here's hoping I get one in July. LOL! (and hoping DH will go)

I keep saving trips ordierning DVD's etc....and what did I get today?????? a PIN!!!! For Universal! :lmao:

Grrrrrrrr got a code today, for free dining through 7/3/10, on 4 night 5 day vacation packages. Still waiting for dec.........

We're right here waiting with ya!!!!!! Nothing could be better for our Grand Gathering than free dining....even QSDP would be a GIANT help!!!!!!!!!:worship:

We are thinking about a trip to WDW during the holiday season, Dec. 26-Jan. 4. It will be our family's first visit and I feel a bit overwhelmed (although very excited!) as I begin my trip planning. But thanks to the Disboards, I'm able to learn alot :worship:

I'd be interested in knowing the answer to QueenDoOver's question. It would help in figuring out our budget and which resort we could stay at.

Trying to make a decision about going this Dec. Think we will. Probably around the 15th or 17th. Thinking of staying onsite for a few days, maybe 4? and then switching to offsite. We will do the World, but also the offsite resort and other stuff.

Am I correct to assume there will be no pins or discounts over the actual holiday time? Once I know my dates, I should just book it?

so, now i have a question about bounceback offers. we are going to wdw dec 16th -22nd, but i am going back (alone) for the marathon roughly 3 weeks later. what are the odds of there being bb offers in the room for such a close time period. i figured i would plan on booking a room only ressie and then if a bb offer was available, i would cancel and rebook... does anyone have any insight?

We are going the day after thanksgiving (hoping for 9 nights) would love to have a code, I have never gotten a private code emailed to me....I have tried everything, really could use some disney magic.

quick (somewhat complicated) question :goodvibes We are coming in Nov/Dec and staying at Pop. Our buget only allows for a value resort. Now through reading everyones posts I am kinda wanting to upgrade. I never thought I would even want to because the values are good enough for us! My question about pins. (and please forgive me for not wanting to do the footwork myself) would The pins for 20-30 and 40 drop the price of a Mod down to the price of a value? Again, please ignore my lack of research (I just quit smoking so my brain doesnt work :scared1:). I am debating the upgrade if the cost is similar to what we are already paying. We dont spend much time in our rooms if that matters. We are park people. We only used the pools once when we were there last. I just couldnt be torn away from the Magic! So, if anyone has done this please let me know. The only way would be if we could get it at Value prices with the pin! Thanks bunches!!!!

It also depends on which value rooms and which moderate rooms... We are a family of 6,and therefor are looking at suites, etc. that hold more people. The ASMU suites with 20% off are only about $20 less for the entire week than the Ft. Wilderness cabins. Usually there is a huge difference between these two!

Oh wow, we might have to look into that. We are a large group and will be split between 4 regular value rooms but maybe we can just do 2 cabins.....Hmmm, the wheels are spinning now!

I got the free code for dining through July in the mail yesterday also. Now if I could just get one that we can actually use :confused3.

When is that code good for? It's free dining now till summer? I never heard that one yet.

This is what it says:

Enjoy the Disney Quick-Service
Dining Plan, FREE

when you purchase a 4-night/5-day non-discounted Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package that include accommodations at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels and Theme Park tickets for stays most nights
2/28/10–7/3/10.

This is the second code I received in the last 2 months, neither of which I can use.

My 20/30/40% room-only came from Disney Destinations - is Walt Disney Travel Company a different entity? If so, how do I get on their list - website?

This came from Disney Destinations too. Other than that I have no idea. This is what was on the bottom of the email.

so, when they offer the QSDP free, can you just pay the difference to upgrade to the dining plan you want? what if you are staying for longer?

The only part of this I can answer is about the upgrade. Yes you can upgrade and just pay the difference between the qsdp and the ddp. Someone told me that its something like 10 to 15 dollars per night.

Hi. New to posting, but have lurked for a while. Appreciate all the info I get from here. We are hoping to go November 28-Dec. 5th. I guess I should post on November's board too? Thanks :goodvibes
