The Official Clay Aiken Discussion Thread

12/10 Wallingford, CT (tickets on sale Oct. 30th)

humm, and it's a Friday, and I'm OFF that Friday........:scratchin

jasminesmommy...i'd go with you!! i asked DH yesterday if clay came to indy for a holiday show, if he'd take me. he said clay once a year is plenty...and you've seen him twice. so no! :(  fine...be that way...i'll just go by myself or with someone else! ;)

when we were at the evansville show, there was a woman there who's been to see clay 75 times! 75 times!!! clay even thought that was funny...he said "75 times? that's a lot of clay!" :teeth: he's so adorable...

make sure you guys are marking his appearances in your calendars!!!! i can't wait for his book to come out!! i don't know THAT much about him, since i haven't been a fan from the very very beginning, so i'm eager to learn more about him.

Yes Brandie if he comes we should go together and leave the hubbies at home besides its not fair for them to watch us drool over him;)

i know what you mean!! it was the oddest thing going to the concert with DH! i wanted to stand up and yell and scream with the rest of them, but i just couldn't do it!!! the only time i stood up was after he sang i survived you...that song...the emotion behind it when he sings it live...THUD...

Aiken Releasing Book, Album in November

Wed Oct 6, 4:47 PM ET Entertainment - Reuters

By Michael Paoletta

NEW YORK (Billboard) - "American Idol" graduate Clay Aiken (news) will deliver a double whammy Nov. 16 with the release of a new album and his first book.

The as-yet-untitled RCA set is a holiday collection, while the Random House inspirational memoir "Learning to Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life" explores Aiken's journey from special education teacher to pop star.

Coinciding with both releases are a handful of TV appearances, including "Larry King Live" (Nov. 15), "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (Dec. 6) and Aiken's one-hour Christmas special on NBC (Dec. 8), to be preceded earlier in the day by a visit to "The Today Show."

The singer is scheduled to begin a five-week holiday tour with a full orchestra next month.

Don't worry, Val - Oakdale tickets are (supposedly) $38, $48, or $58. And he'll be WELL WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION!!!

O HOLY NIGHT IS MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SONG EVER!!!

Ever since Home Alone, it's been my favorite, and ever since FOREVER, it makes me teary-eyed. It's like My Girl - doesn't matter what context I hear the song in or who is singing it, it's special. (disregard the Macaulay Culkin connection - purely coincidence.)

:hyper: Wow...the DIS is so gonna ban me for posting on this thread three times in a row, but I'M JUST SO EXCITED!!! :hyper:

You know what's so amazing about this album? You just know it's going to be traditional, not all...jazzed up and stupid like some pop stars make the classics.

*sigh*:lovestruc

I love this man.

Wow! That's a great theator. We saw the Wiggles there last year. I hope they do a pre-sale as I'm on that mailing list. What time is the show? I'm off the 9th too. But I'd have to take Brittany with me and she's is school until 3:15.
