Glad to see we are posting again on this thread. I watched both the Kimmel show and GMA. I even set my alarm clock to get up to watch Kimmel (but didn't tape it). Kimmel is going to be repeated this week July 8 12:05am so am going to tape it then. I did download it on my computer and I sort of felt the same way about IWCY, but after listening to it numerous times it is growing on me. I did really enjoy that skit they did and his interview. He was so funny telling about his trip to Ireland.

I watched GMA before going to work, went in late so I could watch it. Plus I taped it. I don't normally watch GMA, so was wondering if all their musical guests do 3 songs. I understand that right after GMA he went and taped The Early Show which will be on this week I think it is Wednesday.

I also saw the sign NJ teachers for Clay.

Tonight is the July 4th performance which I will be taping. With my tapes I can get my Clay fix until I see him in Baltimore on July 23rd.

You'll TOTALLY change your mind once you see him in person. When you see him sing that song up close, he just sounds so powerful!!

His performance at the DC concert was excellent. Measure of a Man is becoming tribute song for all our service men and women. He sang it at Dover Speedway to honor them and now in DC.
He looked and sounded so great.

Thank you very much for posting about the Washington special on PBS. I would have missed, just as I do everything else with Clay. So PLEASE if you know of a performance please post it (with 24 hours notice )

I plan to tape the rebroadcast of the Washintong special for my DD (who is at her dads) Clay performed two of her favorite songs (Measure and God Bless the USA).

Does anyone know if he plans to release Measure as a single?

very impressive at the Capitol Fourth celebration..it's nice to see that fame hasn't gone to his head!!!...what a gorgeous site it was to see Clay standing there singing with the White House in front of him..awesome job on all 3 songs he sang also!..it's been awhile and I needed a Clay fix!

I LIVE in DC and didn't get the chance to see him last night. We are in the middle of a move as we speak (taking a litle break!!) But I did make sure I put the tv on when Clay sang the national anthem. Didn't see his other performances. He sounded a little scratchy-but great as usual!!

That was me holding the 'NJ Teachers Love Clay' sign. I was right behind Tony Perkins (weatherman) as he was doing his 7:30AM weather segment. I was caught briefly also as he was doing weather a little further up. It was a surprise to be on TV!

After watching the tape, I have to say that Clay sounds much better in person. The tape doesn't do him justice. To hear him perform Invisible and I Survived You live was the most incredibe experience; he doesn't sound the same on TV.

I'm still hoping to get tickets to his Atlantic City concerts, but it's not looking good. One of these days I'll get to see him live again!

I too saw the Capital 4th special. Clay was terrific! What a great entry from the host too!

I read an article in my paper that Robin Gibb was really looking forward to seeing/meeting him again. He was one of the AI judges when Clay was on. I'd sure love to be a fly on THAT wall!!

What an honor for Clay too, to open with the National Anthem!

Was it me or did Clay look very nervous during last night's performance? He was so relaxed and confident on stage on Friday, but there was something different about him yesterday. Was it just my perception?

I thought at the beginning of the SSB he looked very nervous, but didn't notice it during the othe songs.

disneychrista--- There will be a repeat of the Kimmel show on Thursday morning 12:05 am and he will be on the Early Show on Wenesday morning. Get the VCR's ready.

After the Clay drought after his Independence tour it is so great to see so much of him on TV.

I agree with you, padisneyfan, it is nice to see him on TV so much. It doesn't look like I'll be attending any of his concerts this summer, so hopefully he'll be touring again next summer. Keeping all fingers and toes crossed for another Clay tour next summer!

Who is Kimmel & what is his show? I've never heard of him.

It's a late night show on abc (the same network that GMA is on). It doesn't come on until 12:05am. I had never heard of it until Clay was on this show.

Jimmy Kimmel is on ABC from 12:05AM-1:05AM Thursday night/Friday morning. I, too, hadn't heard of it pre-Clay, and since I missed the first show, I'll definately have my VCR set Thursday night.

woo hoo!! glad to see this thread buzzing again!!!

i missed clay's SSB...but i'm sure i can find it online somewhere! DH was flipping the channels back and forth and when i saw clay, i practically sat on DH's hand to keep him from changing the channel!! i caught most of MOAM and God Bless the USA. he sounded as wonderful as usual!!

i will try to be better about posting his appearances on tv.

when does his tour kick off? here in the next few days, right? i'm dying to know what he's singing for the shows!!!!!!! i've heard he's bringing back TITN and Solitaire, i believe. here's hoping he resurrects BOTW!!!!!!!! i would just melt!!!!!!!!
