i probably won't go this round...although i really want to! but i would be driving alone and hubby doesn't like that idea at all..and to be honest, neither do i!!

So far I have not been able to find anything on Ticketmaster officially about dates, or how much the tickets are going to cost.

I haven't heard/seen anything either about when tickets go on sale. I'm so excited that he's coming to Philadelphia, but I can't find any information about ticket sales. Anyone?

the Carolina Panthers are now going to be in the Superbowl that Clay performed the National Anthem!

Hope it happens!

Good thinking, stormi! :) Did you see that Ruben sang the National Anthem at the begining of the Carolina/Philly game? I didn't think he was all that hot..

:D Me too!

were making me mad..Clay is an individual with a unique voice..but on at least 2 occasions I heard them refer to someone who was auditioning as a "Clay wannabe"..there is only one CLAY!..aside from that..the auditions were hilarious..I only heard a few that I would consider voting for if they make it to the finals.."scooter girl" and "scat girl" weren't 2 of them..lol!

Paula was a guest on the Ryan Secrest chatfest yesterday. The pair discussed AI3, obviously, and she had some not so complimentary things to say about our man, Clay.

She hinted that he "played" the audience to gain votes and sympathy. Further that he is "focused" on a goal and was that way throughout the competition. It wasn't what she said as much as the inference and the tone with which she made her comments. One (or at least I) got the impression she felt he was manipulative and really not as naive as people believe.

She went on to say that she felt Ruben had been given short shrift because it wasn't right to release Clay's album before the winner's hit the charts. What difference that would have made is questionable, but she felt Ruben's sales suffered because of the earlier release of Clay's CD. In a minor slam against Clay's CD, she said that she felt Clay's voice was much better than the material he was "given" to sing on the CD, too. (This from an ultimate one hit wonder. . .

Anyway--Paula didn't come off as little miss "sweet and nice" yesterday--she acted a bit vampish and certainly wasn't too flattering where Clay was concerned.

Did anyone else catch the show and do you concur with my take or was I just not "hearing" her correctly. . .

You here Clay and kelly are going to a concert together. I can't wait. it will be the best concert of the year mark my words

Does anyone know what time tickets are going on sale? Ticketmaster was way rude and said they couldn't help us and hung up. Ew!!! I figured you guys would be nicer about it! YIKES! (and I didn't see Paula on the show, but I heard other people saying that too. Another huge EW on that one!)

I truly can't believe Paula came up with that all by herself. You've heard her "judges" remarks before. Not too bright or witty. She probably was copying what Simon said.

I don't call myself a good judge of character, but any man who devotes himself to children with difficulties is not a manipulative person. I believe we got what we saw on stage- A huge talent that is very humble with the gifts he was given.

As to why didn't Ruben's CD come out first -ask his managers. Was it Clays fault? No. Aren't they both managed by the same people? so if they really wanted Rubens out first, they should have waited to release Clays. Don't think it would have made much of a difference though.

Thanks Tess for the info about Ryan's show. Wish I would have seen it!

i totally agree!! i believe that Clay is one of those people where what you see is what you get. i mean, he may have a few things about himself that we'd be shocked to discover about him, but i don't believe that he is manipulative at all...

and as far as the whole who's cd gets released first, etc...didn't the runner up from the year before, justin...wasn't his cd released BEFORE kelly's? if they wanted the winner's cd released first, then they should have been on the ball with it both years!

besides, i don't think it would have mattered when clay's cd was released. Clay's got such an awesome fanbase that he would have sold just as many as he has now, no matter when it was released!

REMINDER...Clay's on the tonight show tonight!! set your VCR's or TIVO's or whatever you have...:)

I saw this too.

She was very suttle, but I did see the disapointment that Clay's CD came out first. She said "Ruben was the winner".......

I was really disapointed with her. Clearly, she favored Ruben. I love Clay, and I love Ruben. I don't think AI could have asked for 2 better performers. Besides being talented, they are nice people. Anyhow, I really think that when it gets down to the competition part, the judges should be objective as to performances only. They all 3 very clearly favored Rubin during the competition. AI2 is over, Paula, get on with life!!! Remember too, both singles were released on the same day. Clay's outsould Rub's by a very wide margin. Clive Davis said during the final AI2 show "this battle will continue on the charts...." Which it has.

I really wish people (press, critics, Paula, etc) would just dump this "competition". The show is OVER!!! They are both talented performers who will have wonderful careers!! They are friends!! They have different musical styles. Clay is pretty mainstream pop while Rub is a pop/blues/rap mix. They are going to appeal to different audiences.

Anybody read Simon's book?

Just curious as to what he said. I read a review that quoted him as saying "Clay was the best thing that ever happened to AI." Just wonder what he really said.....
