morning

wow...trying to get back into the land of the living...i've been a zombie for the last few days! i think i got about 4 hours of sleep from december 25 at 7am until about 7am on the 27th! it was a madhouse!! we surprised my mom a day earlier than she had expected for the holidays. my sister and her hubby drove up from kansas city about 8 hours earlier than we had told mom. she thought that we weren't going to be there until sometime between 9am and noon on the 26th! so we rolled in at about 1 or 2 in the morning that night and then opened our presents, went back to bed, played all day, then went and sat through the lord of the rings movie...which was awesome i might add...and then dh and i drove home. i still haven't quite recovered!

and my friend had her baby on the 26th! he's adorable...

congrats princess!!! how awesome for the 2 of you!! my dh and i reunited after 10 years at disneyland and then were married in a chapel in orlando and spent our honeymoon at WDW. it was perfect...i'm sure we're all anxious to hear about the wedding planning!!

no new clay news today...

the parade was awesome though! disney and clay...two of my favorite things in one shot!!

so, what did everyone get for christmas! i got a bunch of appliances (needed them for the new house!) and i got a pretty ring from my dh! it's an odd stone...it changes colors. depending on how the light hits it...it looks, pink, purple, blue, or green. it's a heart shaped stone in a heart shaped setting (which matches my wedding set!)...right now, it's looking purple...

How was Clay on Xmas day? We were entertaining, so I was in the kitchen ALL day! (Everything came out really yummy!! soup, homemade bread, mashed spuds, salad, salmon, chicken marsela, asparages, stuffed mushrooms, homemade Xmas cookies).

Don't forget - Thus night (1/1) is the behind the scenes AI tour show. Should get to see Clay!

Congrats on the engagement, Princess! Sounds magical to me...too bad Clay wasn't singing in the background during the proposal to make it TOTALLY perfect, but you may have never heard the proposal that way!

I saw the TV Guide awards last night. My mother is so funny - she knows when Clay or Barry is on anything, that all conversation stops, and she raises the volume on the TV. She's so cute! The fact that she really likes both of them helps a little, too.

What's the next batch of appearances, Brandie? You're falling down on the job, hon - get with it!!

i've also made a new discovery. clay radio! it plays all clay all the time!!! click here! i had to download the MusicMatch jukebox player to listen to it though. if you need that, you can find it here. there is a free player available to you for download there...you may have to click a few times to get to it, but it's there! enjoy!!! i've been listening to it all morning...they play a lot of stuff...things he did on AI...recent christmas specials...his early early stuff from before AI...and of course, songs from his CD.

Sorry to say I MISSED Clay perform on MTV last night! Did see him right at the ball drop, though . Poor Clay didn't get a kiss.

Don't forget about the AI tour show tonight. Looks like it will be pretty good.

He was fantastic on MTV last night. It was amazing to see him singing and his face on the huge video screens outside in Time's Square!

I enjoyed the AI behind the scenes tour on tv last night. The tour seemed grueling! Clay was featured quite abit on the show. I love the line where he said "God help the sex symbols if I'm considered one!' hahaha He is such a cutie!!

I was just scolded on another thread by Scarlett here above
for not checking in here often enough so I'm going to try harder. I haven't even read back what I've missed and as I type this my 15 year old is rolling his eyes at me cuz he wants to IM with his friends
I pay for the cable internet and I bought the computer but I feel guilty.....so I'm off for now

I did just order a new computer though so maybe things will get better

Wow! I'm impressed to hear that Clay's been spending so much time on MTV. I haven't watched it in years. I would have though his type of music didn't fit the MTV format (loud/violent/sexy, etc).

Are they actually playing his video much?

His video has been in the top ten for weeks now(holding #1 for a number of days!!). I was really surprised that he's been so well recieved by TRL, but then again they can't ignore the voting(only Fox can do that )
