I was taking care of this 3 month old infant and she would not stop crying for nothing...she was fed.... changed....but she wouldn't stop crying .....finally after forever...I played a Clay song I had taped and she stopped....she listened and she fell asleep...unbelievable!!
I ranted about this to my sons but they didn't believe me

Hey mom! err... I mean Mickey fan! Never underestimate the power of Clay -- especially with kids! they love him! My sister said her DS was in love with Clay -- she means it -- when we are in the car - he asks for Clay -- he literaly sings along with this is the night -- He is in love! It is adorable!

I step away from the boards most of the day and I come back to the OFFICIAL CLAY THREAD?!?! You guys are the BEST!!! Did you guys vote a million times when he was on AI? My roommates used to laugh at me b/c my sister and I used to have a contest to see who could vote the most in the time allotted. My cousin said there used to be a Clay billboard somewhere near Raleigh... is it still there??

I did start voting toward the end when it got down to like 4 left. I would dial till I got thru about 10 times

OK I got it all figured out

If Beth would just run after Clay wherever he is....which is what I would do if I were younger and single and I TOLD HER to do pages ago....and look....she's still here .....children (sigh) ....they NEVER listen to mama and get him to marry you....then I would be his mother in law and your sister Melissa would be his sister in law...her 2YO son ....the one that loves him could call him Uncle Clay and the rest of you would all be best friends of Clay and his family see...I have it all worked out

And Christmas will be at your house Beth

i am so there!!!! although, i'm not quite sure how i fit into that equation... and how long did it take you to figure all that out debbie?

i'm not from Raleigh....but my last name is Raleigh!! i think it's adorable that he named his pup after me...

i really really want to listen to that christmas station! but i think the people here at work will think i'm a little loopy for listening to christmas music so early...lol...but i just wanna hear Clay singing!!! oh the dilemma...

I havent seen the clay billboard -- maybe I just missed it --

When AI was on - noone in raleigh could get through because everyone in raleigh was calling -- it messed up the phone lines and stuff... Then the last show people suggested to call on there cel phones -- it was even on the news -- so we did and we got through a lot more -- one friend of mine called 237 times in one night!

Remember the last show were they showed rubens fans and clays fans -- I was in the stadium they showed for clay -- it was very cool!

Before Clay went on AI he was pretty nerdy as we have all seen - but still had a great personality - well he asked this girl (a friend of one of my co-workers) from his church out on a date -- she was leaving for like 2 weeks on vacation - but she had all intentions of going out with him because of how sweet he was -- well - fate happened and while she was gone - he auditioned for AI and made it - so she never got her date!

Isnt that sad?

She should call him up & "demand" a raincheck!! Maybe she could be his date for the Grammy's!! Then when he wins, she'd get the .

PS: I tried to call during the final show. I got busy for the first hour (both regular & cell), then I got through about 3 times on my regular phone. Only got busy on my cell.

i, unfortunately, didn't discover clay until last month actually! i know...shame on me...hubby and i watched only the audition process of AI then we lost interest. i do remember clay's audition though! had i watched AI, i would have voted for him...

When clay told his mom he would sing "bridge over troubled waters" for his last show song - she asked him not to -- because it is a song he always sang to her and she did not want the rest of the world to share in there song

I am sure glad he didnt listen!
