The Official Clay Aiken Discussion Thread

Oops...forgot to add my two cents about tickets.

I didn't buy anything this morning. I got into the system at, literally, 10:01, and the first tickets they gave me were upper balcony.

:scared1: WHAT?!?

No way was I taking those. I kept trying trying trying on the computer and the phone, but I was pulling up the same basic tickets I got at presale (center section, but in rows R through X). I finally got in on the phone, and there were only Loge available for Saturday, and basically corner Orchestra seats for Friday and Sunday.

I tried randonly throughout the day and finally found something in Row M, but they were so far to the side, I couldn't convince myself to buy them. :confused3

I'll just have to figure something else out. I'm hoping to take my friend to the show, and I really want her to enjoy a true Clay and Kylene experience...so I'll just have to figure it out.

As for the fan club....I feel your frustration guys. I know supposedly some people got lucky, but it just doesn't normally happen that way. Ever. Never has. Atleast with Clay we can be home and try for them - with *NSYNC, we used to have to go TO the venue box office for presale, and the seats were usually in the back floor sections.

Did you hear that, in addition to people selling the password on eBay, apparently there was a broker who posted the password on his website for his scalpers to use?

We can't win. :guilty:

Happy Birthday, Debi. I hope the magic was enough to get you through!! :wizard:

Congrats on the great seats, Cookie!! That's what...like 14th row? Somewhere around there. I think the doubles only go through DD, so you were lucky!! Let the countdown to Clay begin!!

Tanuki, were you trying for NYC also? I'm always curious how people do for other cities.

PhiSig - did Heinz Hall ever get straightened out??

In all honesty, if the presale code is why you join the fan club, I'd have to say the $35 isn't worth it, especially considering how many problems there are with getting the thing even working, nevermind good seats coming up.

By the way, rumor is that the wrong block of tickets was released originally on Thursday, that's why some people got amazing seats but the majority got so-so ones. Supposedly. :confused3

By the way, guys - if I win Powerball, I'm buying Clay and you're all invited to my Pity Party Concert.

I'll let you know when tickets go onsale. ;)

Ok, Kylene. Quit rubbing it in!!!

Now now, Kim. Let's not get testy, or you'll find yourself disinvited from my Pity Party Concert.

(Not to mention the wedding.... :rolleyes1 )

If I win the Powerball, I'll invite you to my private concert also!! :faint:

Also, talk to your husband-to-be about this shirt--definitely takes guts to wear this.

:rotfl:

I dared him to wear it, but he picked out the tie.

By the way - Powerball at $240 MILLION now...that's atleast $35 million more than I expected. Maybe now if I win, I'll throw in free hor d'ourves for the Pity Party Concert!!

I have 2 extra tickets for the Camden show if anyone's interested (section 104, Row G, seats 15 and 16) - asking what I paid for them ($155.05). Kaylene, the birthday magic did (somewhat) work; I wound up with 4 somewhat decent seats (I got 2 in section 104, and went back in later and got 2 more in section 103). I was hoping for front row (didn't Clay know that tickets went on sale on *my* birthday? How rude of him and Ticketmaster to not give me front row tickets!), but I'll take it. :)

Cookie, are you going to Camden?

So, is it to much to hope that he'll have another Christmas special this year? His show last year did get respectable ratings. Any news on the fan club site?

Nothing O-fficial yet, and you can be sure I'll report it back here in some obnoxious combination of huge letters when there is. ;) (It'll kinda be like the obnoxious Paul Smith shirts Clay wears.)

I'm cautiously optimistic though, if that means anything to ya. Supposedly there's a fair amount of "big news" to be announced soon, and I really really hope that a Christmas special is one of them.

Congratulations, Debi!! I wish I could take those Camden tickets off your hands, but, alas....it's just too far a drive without a tour bus.

Not sure if I'm going to Camden or not. I'm thinking about it. :)

Kylene - the Row J seats are in a side section...but according to the seating chart, Row J is the first row of that section! I may actually have an extra ticket. I'll let you know if my friend decides not to go. :)

Kylene, have you heard anything about a meet-and-greet for this tour? I know Clay did a meet-and-greet with the choir he sung with (at least he did in Sewell, NJ last year), but am anxious to know if he's doing a 'regular' meet-and-greet this year. Any word?

Yeah, we invited him over for tree-trimming festivities. We'll probably bake some cookies and sing Christmas carols, too, and maybe watch, like....either the Claymation Christmas specials or---

Oh.

Wait.

You meant at the shows.

Sorry about that - but yes, I've read that he WILL be doing meet 'n greets this time around. Someone emailed in the fan club inquiring about the process of requesting a meet 'n greet, and they got a response detailing the whole process (which is the same as last time).

I imagine we'll see something posted in the next week, since the first show is three weeks from Thursday.

And in the event that any of my Dis ladies get the opportunity, I'll give you quick lessons on how NOT to make a first impression.

PS - Brandie, who knows when the big news will be revealed, but I think we're expecting answers in his next blog, so maybe this week. The thing is, the Claymates get so worked up about everything he says, the "big" news may be not big at all.

I hate to break it to you girls, but I already know the big news. Clay is finally coming out to tell the world that he and I are getting married in June. Yep. That's what the ticker is for. The Sarah and Clay wedding of the century. lol!!! *sigh* I wish!!

Unfortunately there has been no changes in the Pittsburgh concert info. :( I'm still waiting not so patiently.

Nice try, sweetie, but I saw your engagement photos. You make a GREAT couple, but your DFi is...well, he's not Clay!! (I really do mean it, by the way - your photos were gorgeous, and I wanted to comment to them the day you posted them, but I was at work and not logged in for fear of...well, you know, TERMINATION!)

Now, MY engagement photos on the other hand....

Now that all depends...

who's wedding am I invited to?

;)

Well, one is real and one is imaginary.

I'll let you decide which is which.

(But, let's just, for a second, assume mine is the imaginary one - if it WAS real, you'd TOTALLY be invited, and it's completely in Disney World, so if that's any incentive to sway your vote....)

Sarah? Any swaying from you? ;)

So far...I have to say that the Disney Wedding with Clay is winning...

But that's only cuz I have a crush on Mickey Mouse...

tee hee hee...

Wait, what about my wedding with Clay? I've always dreamed of a Christmas Eve wedding, and Clay finally granted my wish. Christmas Eve at the Yacht Club gazebo - me and Clay. Who's coming? More importantly, who wants to notify Clay of his wedding date? :)
