I got a flyer in the mail a couple of days ago for a Sams Club one day only member savings event. It is on August 3rd, in club and online. One of the items they are offering is "Extreme Value Gift Cards" with special one day savings. $100 gift cards for $75. The add looks as if the typical variety of gift cards in store will be available. Of course, we won't know for sure until the day of the event, but if the Disney gift cards are part of the sale, that would be a 25% savings on them, so might be worth checking out!

Club doors will open at 7:00 AM Saturday.

Yippppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I just got a dining reservation for Beaches and Cream Not the day I was hoping for, but its still a day that will work. We will be at Discovery Cove that day and in the past my DD barely made it out of the shower, when getting back to the hotel, before falling asleep around 6pm She's a little older now and hopefully knowing we will have a 7:30pm dinner and B&C she will stay awake Still have an alert for my ideal date, but Im very happy with this one!!!

I ended up trying to add a dining reservation finder through Touring Plans in case construction dates changed, but they wouldn't let me add it because they said it was closed. I checked a couple weeks ago and noticed they pushed back the closing time... but all the reservations were booked! Now I have a Touring Plans reservation finder set and have been checking myself every hour or so. Fingers crossed we get it!

When I started reading this I was thinking I had never seen the hats! Now I know why!

I did get a bunch of the Frogg Togg mini towels for our trip. I havent opened them yet. I hope A) They work and B) they are big enough. The package is so compact, but the reg sized towels looked so big.

We have the mini ones. The big ones are too big. We ended up cutting them. Mini are perfect.

Thanks. Ill wash a few before we leave and do the rest when we get to Disney. I bought 12, for 3 of us. They were only $1.99 and I figured we could throw them away if it was too inconvenient to carry/ didnt last. The packages are perfect for packing.

Add a little white vinegar when you wash them to set the color. Mine dont color bleed if I do this. I keep them in zip locks as well in park!

They had backpacks out, but I am holding off until our Disney trip. They usually have some sort of backpack deal in the shops that if you spend XX amount, you can get a backpack for about $20. The ones we got in the past have been super good quality and plenty big for all my DDs binders/folders etc... I saw these online earlier this year as the new pattern...

I have this bag. My husband bought it for me on our last family trip. I use it every day to haul stuff to and from school. Love it!

Yes, exact thing happened to me. Thanks to @Bama Mom , Ive been using mouse dining dot com. Im looking for the 10th. There is a 7th lunch at 4:50 open right now for party of 4 !!

Got a useful email today...not Disney related but related to a task I'm trying to complete prior to our trip. One of my daughter's favorite stores (The Garage) has sale items marked down an additional 40%. She particularly likes their jeans; but they're usually around $50 so they have to be on sale for this mom. They had a bunch that had been marked down from an original price of $50 to $60 to $25 to $29. The sale was an extra 40% off the $25 to $29. Picked up each style she liked and ended up with 10 pair for $150. We generally dry clean jeans so they should last the year.

No Amazon orders coming today; but that fun begins again tomorrow as does my son's last week of summer camp. And his least favorite part of summer...final month means reviewing math facts and reading comprehension strategies to prepare for the upcoming school year.

Im waiting on one more. It is the costume necklace my daughter needs for MNSSHP. Im not worried yet..shipping said 07/26 - 08/02. I honestly dont even know what day today is, but I know its not August yet!!

6 days !
I started getting a sinus headache this weekends so I was going to get my DIL to watch the neighbors baby in my place tomorrow. My DIL watches a couple kids in her home and was excited to get to watch him, but the neighbor doesn't need a sitter tomorrow now. So that ended up working out anyways. I also don't have him Thursday now because his daddy decided to take Thursday and Friday off after having to study so much the past couple of weeks so that frees up our last pre-trip day. Since we are going to Nashville Friday evening I was going to have to do last minute stuff that morning since I was going to have Little K Thursday so now I can do all that Thursday instead. that takes a huge relief off me. Especially since I have some shirt orders to get finished before I leave.

LOL, it's the 28th. I only know because Thursday is August 1st. I have 2 appointments this week, one on the 30th and another the 1st. I have one order which contains my children's drawstring backpacks that said August 1-8 (we leave on the 14th); but it's already shipped so I'm hoping it's closer to August 1st. My son loves Donald Duck and my daughter Stitch so I got them lanyards and bags with those characters. The lanyards came weeks ago.

I work at the TJX HQ (for the HomeGoods division). My big spend at Marshalls last night included my employee discount Keep shopping.....job security for me!!

Don't worry, you'll certainly keep your job as long as I'm around. We all love Home Goods around here, and so do the tourists!

I did a pre trip dollar store run today. Picked up some ponchos, hand sanitizer, etc....We're hitting the road this trip too, heading out August 17. Due to chronic sinus trouble, I think my flying days are over. After last year's flight I was pretty much deaf for the entire trip, and it ended with an ear infection. UGH. Anyway we're excited to hit the road again. We're taking our time, with stops in VA, and Savannah. Actually some of our best vacation memories happened on the drive to and from Disney. Can't wait for Cracker Barrel (love the gift shop), and all the tacky South of the Border billboards. Good times!

We are going to SeaWorld this time as our something new. First time we’ve ventured off site in a few years during the Disney trip. We usually try to find something new in every park we go to even if it’s a new food or something so I can report that after the trip!
