Happy September all! We are another month closer to April! Yay!

Been so busy here with vacation, getting engaged and a new puppy I have barely had time to think about our upcoming Disney trip, but today I paid off the balance on our vacation rental. One step closer!

Next on to flights and a rental car. Question for those of you who have rented a car in Orlando before... Is there a particular company you have had a good experience with? Or even yet, a bad experience I should know about? Our first trip we flew, stayed on property and used Disney transportation. Second trip we drove from Delaware in a rental car from Enterprise. So this will be our first time renting a car in Orlando... Thanks for any advice!

Just made our room reservation for Spring Break next year. Please put us down for CBR from 4/2-4/10. We'll be squeezing in a first-time trip to Universal while we're there, too, but not sure when. Going to be a super-fun week!!!!!

This is my first post on the boards . We are booked for BLT 4/13-4/19. I'll be traveling with MH, DD-6, DS-almost 3 and my parents. Can't wait!

Oh my gosh guys....I just officially booked the SURPRISE trip!!! I know I already shared this, but will again because it's official now We will be staying at POR from April 23-29!!! I'm super excited and hope I can manage to keep this a secret until Christmas! Now I just need to figure out when I can book ADRs! My last trip they sent a magnet with the info, but this time, i paranoid I will get it wrong and mess everything up!

Hi and welcome aboard! You are in the right place to hang out with a bunch of excited WDW trip planners and get plenty of advice (wanted and unwanted ). I tried an April trip this year after my previous winter trips, and now I am a convert, going back 4/9-16 next year. I'm sure you will have so much fun, being there for your birthday! If Epcot Flower & Garden Fest is going on while you're there, be sure you have time to walk around Epcot and check out the beautiful displays. They have so many wonderful character topiaries.

I'm paying a visit to POP next trip to scope it out for future stays. I was there just briefly on a rainy day this year and didn't get too far, but It looks colorful and fun, and I've also enjoyed looking at lots of photos and videos of it online. I'm not sure, though, if I could ever be dragged away from my beloved POFQ.

If you head to the Disney Resorts board here and look in the sub-forum there that is called Resorts Community, Photo & Video (or something similar to that), there is a good FAQ thread for POP, and a POP photo thread in there somewhere, too.

Have lots of fun planning! That's one of the best parts!

Thanks so much for the welcome and advice. Any and all advice will be welcome in my opinion. I'm hoping to make some new online friends here cause meeting new people is always fun. We had thought about the Port Orleans resorts but being from Louisiana we wanted something with a different theme and figured Pop would be cool. Although I am hoping for a possible upgrade to a moderate resort and if it's possible I'd like to try the Carribean Beach Resort.

Hi Everyone!! New to the boards so bare with me as I try and figure it out, hope you don't mind if I jump on the April bandwagon, haven't exactly settled on our dates just yet but its looking like end of April into May will be the winner. This is going to be my family's second Disney vaca and I am beyond excited to begin planning, first time was August of 2014 and despite the weather and a few toddler (and not so toddler) meltdowns, we had a fantastic time!!.. Looking this time to enjoy ourselves even more with some cooler temps on our side

So, has anyone received anything in the mail yet from Disney, regarding your vacation?

I remember getting a magnet last year with dates for getting ADRs and FP+. Not sure if they still send that, or I know some people mentioned just getting a booklet with that information.

I figure since our 180 day mark is creeping up fast, maybe I should expect something soon? Or maybe thigs changed and they don't send anything at all!?

If you go check out easywdw, Josh says April dates are showing up on the WDW site and how to find them, even though the calendar grid isn't posted yet. He gives the basics and says they look a lot like March and he anticipates that his park recommendations will be pretty much the same.

Sounds like DHS is closing at 7 on my arrival night; I'm still hoping to get over there at least long enough to hit Star Tours a couple of times.
