Same here...I'm a BJs member, so I joined insider and put in the $25 coupon, BJ code and Insider member number...7 day minivan is still $100 more than my National rate.

I learned that you can't press the button on the BJ's travel/ rental car discount page. It just comes up saying something to the affect that the discount must be expired or something.

You have to copy and paste the Bjs mem. code and coupon code into an alamo booking page for it to work.

Great discount. Hope Alamo goes down again even further 'cause I love their kiosk!

Thanks so much!

The prices at Thrifty have gone down $90.00 in the past 2 days. I used coupon AF12B and am now paying $239.00 for April 8 through the 17th.. I have used them the past 3 years and use their Blue Chip reward program. :thumbsup2

Still watching for mid- to late April too. I'm holding an SUV with Budget for $200 (after coupon) for April 19-26. I need another rental for 2 weeks afterwards. It doesn't matter what size for the second part of my trip. Just need a 6 seater for the first week. I'm hoping I can get a minivan for the first week, but the Explorer should work too. So far the prices are super high. I'm using Wendie code for Budget. Normally we get pretty good rates for Spring as long as we stay away from Easter. Our March folks are getting good prices right now, so I'm hoping it will start spilling over into April soon.

Book it when you see it low enough that you can stomach... I am reserved at Alamo for $395 (all included) 11 days mid to late April. (Under Entertainment ID and $35.00 off Coupon). Still a little high, would love to get it lower, but I can stomach that price if needed.

Checked today, rates for those dates have gone UP, nearly $100.00. Lock it in, change it later. Best advice I have heard on this thread, so glad I took it. :cool1:

Thanks again! I got a SUV for $221 for April 9-20th!!!!!

Your Welcome. :thumbsup2 Your rate is even better than mine.. Did you use 2 coupons? I usually do the Wild Card option because there is only 3 of us and they have always given us choices of what we want.( We had a convertible the first 2 years and a small SUV last year.)

I joined the blue chip program and used just that coupon you mentioned. The wild card option was more than the SUV for my time. There are 4 of us, so we need something that will definitely hold us,luggage and a bulky stroller. Our kids would love a convertible but I can just imagine the 3 yo throwing everything out onto the road:)

I reserved a compact car from Advantage from April 14-23 for $137.81 including taxes. I used travelocity as I find them to be the best rates usually on cars.

I just dropped our total even more on carrentalsavers.com through Alamo!!! So now it is $283 total for 11 days in April!!

We checked rates for April today. Alamo has gone up, but Dollar and Thrifty have dropped quite a bit with City Specials.

I had booked with them 20 minutes ago through carrentalsavers and then went to their site and used my insider # and coupon AD2359FDF and they just dropped even more

I am now down to $255 total for a SUV for 11 days and two hours.

I don't think it's carrentalsavers that dropped but Alamo themselves.

I went thru the screens at carrentalsavers and sure it was $117 drop from the ressie I made yesterday. But Carentalsavers policy requires a credit card and you HAVE to go to the counter. I'm using a debit card and like the kiosk. So, I opened up the Alamo homepage and did the same transaction with the same results that I just got on carentalsavers with the kiosk ability/debit card with return ticket.

I think this is the best deal I'm gonna get actually. Including priceline and Hotwire.

Premium car from 4/13 to 4/24 $135.75 base/$204.00 total that's using:

1) Insiders Id
2)BJ's in corp. id spot code 7014696
3)BJ's $40 off 10 day minimum coupon AD8Z21SDB

Whew! I think I'm done!

I've gotten my Alamo reservation down to $268 total for a premium car April 13 - April 27. Used Insider Id and BJ's $40 off coupon. That's $30 less than yesterday.

Just got down to $214.00 with Thrifty for April 8 through 17th.. It keeps getting better and better.. :-)

We're at $263 (incl. taxes) for a full size from Apr. 24 to May 5 (11 days) :confused3. Not bad overall really.

Just switched to Alamo for 4/10-4/20. Getting a midsized SUV for $210.:cool1:
Thanks for posting the codes!

Just checked Dollar- can get full size for $230 total or mid size for $210 for 8 days. I thought those were pretty good rates w/ no codes. Rates have dropped significantly lately!! What do you think??
