What is your cancellation policy?
Answer: Our cancellation policies vary depending on the type of reservation you've made:

Was your credit card charged for the rental at reservation time on budget.com?
If you wish to cancel before your rental pick-up time, you must cancel and request a refund online. Once cancelled, we will credit you within approximately seven business days. Credits will be applied to the same card with which you prepaid. You will incur a $10 processing fee if you choose to cancel a prepaid reservation before the rental and a $50 fee after the rental pick-up time has passed. Learn more about canceling your prepaid reservation.

Was your credit card information required, but not charged, at reservation time?
For high-demand cars or in instances where only one vehicle is available within a popular make/model, some Budget locations may require that you provide your credit card information to secure your reservation. As is common with hotels, for this type of reservation your card will not charged unless you decide you no longer need the car rental but then fail to cancel in advance of your designated pick-up time. You may cancel up to 48 hours in advance of your designated pick-up time without penalty. If you cancel less than 48 hours before your pick-up time, a $75 US fee will be assessed.

Did you make a reservation without providing credit card information?
If you make a reservation without a credit card and you no longer need to rent, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible before your scheduled pick-up time.

Did you make a reservation with a travel agent or online booking agent?
The travel agency or online booking agent "owns" any reservation you originally crested with them, so their reservation cancellation processes and policies apply.

I just check this when I changed Budget BCD offers. (Switched from BCD X474200 to D454300 and saved $75).
There is a $10 cancellation fee if you pay online (prepay) at the time of the reservation. If you select the "pay at counter" option and provide a CC, I think it was a $75 fee if you cancel less than 48 hours in advance of the pickup time.

If you do not provide cc info (I didn't), they just request that you cancel as soon as you know, but obviously, they can't charge you any cancellation fees.

Aw, I got all excited, but mine hasn't changed. I'm using the Entertainment book discounts and I'm still at $340ish for 10 days for a minivan, but I'm not out of MCO.

It is an Alamo electronic coupon, you won't need an actual coupon. so, stop being nervous.

You can drop $10.00! I entered the entertainment code with this $35.00 coupon (Entertainment coupon I was using was only $25.00 off) and dropped my price $10.00 through modify reservation. Every little dollar counts!

My $600 Alamo minivan (10 days) is under $400 today!! I booked through BJs.com with our Alamo insiders ID. No coupon code. We are BJs members & I bring our card, but they've never asked for it.

Have you tried there $40.00 off coupon for 10 day rental? I saw your post and sprung into action and saved that off my 10 day rental. Its like they just paid me for my membership! I can now cancel my national rental because this one is now so much cheaper! Thanks for the BJ's reminder. I am a member I might as well get all the benefits!

For some reason it doesn't want to accept that coupon (had the same issue with the entertainment book coupon). But the rate is so much lower, even without it, so I'm happy!

So bummed. None of these work for me. Must be because we are picking up at Sanford(SFB) and dropping off at West Palm (PBI).

Cheapest I found for minivan is with Budget for $437 with codes.

Dates are April 12 at 1pm pickup at SFB
Dropoff 8pm April 21 at PBI.

ANY help greatly appreciated. Will also do fullsize, but they are higher!

Glad to see that Alamo is dropping, but we still can't seem to beat the Budget (Wendie's) deal with a BJ's coupon. $185.00 mid size with taxes. We will watch Alamo!
