I don't think Ariel's has the princesses at dinner. It's the WOC dinner package. I'm thinking Goofy's is the only character dinner.

Yea we are doing the latest lunch at Ariel's we can and Goofy's for dinner. I def think they should have more dinner options for Character Meals because we are just not breakfast people

I'm still on the fence about the F! Dessert, too...a quarter of a grand is some serious cash. Maybe if we have an unexpected windfall. I think I'm just going to nix it. Plus, there's the waiting involved and even then you might not get good seats.

We were able to get in on the orbitz 20% ebates deal so I'm pretty excited about Storytellers and Minnie's. Mr FFerret and I LOVE breakfast, but it kind of makes me cringe to think of the special morning touring time we're missing out on. Then again the characters are totally worth it, and a full Mr. FFerret is a happy Mr. FFerret

I've heard great things about Surfs Up, and the Main Mouse is there as well.

Well our plans have changed a little bit now .
Without the option of more than a 5 day park ticket , we figured why hang around DLR for more than a week if we wont have anything to do ........ So thanks DL for no ticket options for guests who want to stay longer ......now we are only "spending" our money in DL for 5 days , and planning other areas to visit instead.
So we are still staying at the Grand California Villas 7/27 - 8/1 .
But our other plans changed now. Got an awesome deal on roundtrip flights to Vegas ............so, here is what our new itinerary looks like. (no more San Diego for us this trip)

Fly in to Vegas early on 7/22 .
Drive out to Zion National park (Utah). Staying at Zion Park Inn for 2 nights.
Drive over to Bryce National park. Staying at Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel for 2 nights.
Drive back to Vegas, and stay the night to split up the drive to DL (most likely at Tahiti Village resort, since we are not into gaming, and its off strip. Looks great for families and relaxing) .
Drive to DL , Staying at Grand California Villas for 5 nights (7/27 -8/1)
Drive up to Sequoia / Kings Canyon . Staying at Wuksachi Lodge for 1 night.
Drive up to Yosemite . Staying at Tenaya Lodge for 2 nights .
Drive back to Vegas (likey through the Death Valley).
Overstay 1 night in Vegas before our flight home the next AM (likely again at Tahiti Village).

Whew .........thats how our two week trip "out west" looks for now.
Should be some fun ! National Parks AND Disneyland .........looking forward to it !

Wow...I see a DL week, the family museum in San Francisco, and Aulani in my future 2 week trip! Of course, that's when I grow up and am able to vacation for 2 weeks at a time. Hope you guys have a great time!!!

Thanks, should be a fun trip. Hopefully its not to much.
Ironically, it looks like DL will be our "relax" part of the vacation. The rest will be a lot of hiking through the national parks .........and some driving time.
We would love to go to Hawaii , but the airfare from the east coast, not to mention the length of the flight has put the brakes on that trip.

Cant wait for DL too. It will be our first time !

I'm going to put the trees and PCH on my "next time we go to DL" when baby's out enough for air travel list. Well fly into Portland and fly out of someplace that's not LAX. Mr. FFerret can only take one week at a time, but maybe if we tack on a holiday....

They say the sequoia's are just as nice (so they say) and MUCH closer to Anahiem ! We dont have the time to see the redwoods........but the sequoias are only a 4ish hour ride from DL. !

BTW, maybe we will bump into each other. We are staying at the GC the same time in July !
