*** The Official 2014 - DLR -July Thread ***(We All Have Been There & Back Home)

So, are July folks going post trip reports? I'd love to read about everyone's trip.

Ack, 24 days! I have been walking with my boot and crutches. Tuesday I should go down to one crutch after my PT appointment!

I'll definitely be posting a report. It will be very long and detailed! I am still working on the one from my WDW/US trip last July.

Wishing you continued, and speedy healing...

:goodvibes:

:welcome:Dis-friend - You are very active in Dis.....:thanks: for all of your Disney Information... We will add you to our Super Group of July Disney Maniac's :goodvibes

Just wanted to echo Bob's thank you for all of your hard work on this forum. Your information is EXTREMELY helpful!!!

:cool1:

Natbenma - were you and I at WDW at the same time last year? Were you on the July 2013 thread that Anjalee6 started?

Good Morning Sunshine or are you typing under the light of the Moon?

WOW !!! - You have been busy and you have a busy schedule but SUPER FUN...

Grand Canyon - You will love this.... Midori and I took a Helicopter Flight/Tour....... Midori wanted to ride in the Helicopter all day..

I told her Daddy can't afford the Helicopter all day.. only a 250.00 30 minute flight..

I will up date your information.. Love the agenda for the 12th.:lmao:

It's neither sunshine or moonlight here ha ha! It's almost 5pm and it's cold  Exciting times ahead for all of us :dance3:

Are any of you planning on doing Fantasmic while there in July? We were planning on doing the dessert package (it would have been our third time doing it), but are thinking about just waiting it out for the free seats since you wait for the dessert package too? Where's your favorite place to watch from? How early would you get there for the 9:00 show?

We plan on seeing Fanstasmic one night. The girls haven't seen it since they were 4 and 1, so they are definitely due. We just plan on picking out a spot early, having dinner - probably fried chicken dinner from Plaza Inn. After dinner, one adult will stay, one adult will roam around with the girls.

Not sure what time we're staking out our spot? Sometime between 6&7. Just depends on how our day goes.

Our First Group Is About to Leave for Disneyland

Can't believe it's only a little more than a month away for us. Thanks for the countdown. This summer is gonna fly for us - DD9 got out of school at the end of May, and we've already taken two trips! One to Yosemite, the other was a daytrip to Alcatraz. Yes, we're playing tour your own state this summer. :)

HydroGuy will be at DLR July 27-31, staying at the DLH for the first time...

Enjoy your stay! Hard to believe that the Man with all the knowledge of all things Disney hasn't stayed at DLH!

I'll just say you're such an asset to these boards! Thanks for all your advice and stickys!

I was at the Hard Rock US/IoA from July 13-16 and the Beach Club from July 16-20 last year.

I don't think I was on that other thread, unless it was very briefly. I believe this is the first "When are you going?" thread I have participated in.

Usually my hands are pretty full with managing the Beach & Yacht Club FAQ and reading/writing trip reports.

We were at AKL July 13th - 20th... Now I remember posting a couple of posts on your Beach Club & Hijinks Thread.... We've talked a couple of times last year and that was about it.

We were supposed to stay at the Beach Club last year but I just could not do the price.. so we changed to AKL.

Hydroguy is on our thread?! :cool1: It's like having a celebrity in our midst :hyper: I feel kind of awestruck ;)

I'm glad someone else asked about Fantasmic! because I'd been wondering the same thing. I am really finding it hard to fathom staking out a spot at 6pm for a 9pm show - just seems like a colossal waste of three hours of precious park time. My kids are very keen to see the show though so I am going to have to try and get over that I guess. Is it ok to grab a spot and have one parent sit there and try desperately to save the spot while the others wander around? Will people not get grumpy about that? I don't want to tread on any toes, literally or metaphorically.

I have no idea how my kids will be doing with the time zone changes so I don't know yet if we'll be able to hold out til the later show (a 10.30pm Fantasmic will be 5.30pm NZ time but we'll have been up since the equivalent of 2am NZ time so we may be quite adjusted to the time zone by then). I guess I am going to have to play it by ear - which is anathema to a planner like me!

Thanks for the big countdown list, Bob. Exciting times!!

Hello everyone! I hope it is not too late to join you guys in counting down until our FIRST visit to Disneyland! We have been to WDW a few times. We haven't been able to afford it this year. We were going to go to Branson,Mo, but my husband let me price out a trip to Disneyland for the heck of it. And we can afford it!!! YAY!!! We are staying off site, but still excited nonetheless!!!

Hi everyone. :wave2:

I see on my reservation that we have the Disneyland Express from/to LAX. We're staying at the Anaheim Hiltion.

How does that work? If it's included in my package, do I get/need a ticket/voucher? Where is the pickup at, after getting our luggage?

Thanks for your help. :)

Hope I can answer your question correctly. I think you'll get a few answers from OP's once they settle down for the evening.

My Answer - If it is anything like WDW... you will get a package from DLR in the mail with all of your documents, luggage tags and direction to who, what, where, when and how... :lmao:

It will give you your do's and don'ts in the packet... Hope this helps with a little of the stress and unknown.. :thumbsup2
