2 miles to Disney! 5 minsSUPER excited. The cost for my family is so minimal in comparison to onsite that we just had to!

March 18-25 2014 -- staying offsite at WBC. First ever trip to Disney for me and our boys (6,10). (DH is lucky enough to have been before.). Can't wait!

I've been thinking of looking into WH for our trip next year. How far away from WDW is that?![]()

The reason we chose Sandy Ridge for our next trip is for the giant private pool!
WH has a small splash pool (a little bigger than a standard Jacuzzi, but deeper) in the back of many of their townhouse units. Our youngest (age 11) eats, sleeps, and breathes swimming and many of the houses in Sandy Ridge have LARGE pools in the backyards -- not Olympic-size, but close -- as well as hot tubs.
So that's why we're staying in Sandy Ridge this time! It's another 5 miles past Windsor Hills (on the same road).
From Windsor Hills, it's very convenient to get to the parks -- you leave the neighborhood, turn left .. drive maybe 1/2 a mile .. turn right at the light -- that's 192. Go maybe ... a mile or two and you'll see the exit for Disney World. And you're there! Just follow the signs to the park of your choice! Best thing about it? You don't need to do the I-4 crawl!![]()
The bigger homes at WH have full size pools with a hot tub. We are renting a 4 bdrm and it's a full 18x24 pool 8 ft deep in the deep end.
Check it out!

My favs from the parks are the mango gelato from Cosmic Ray's and the Nutella sandwich with strawberries from Sleepy Hollow. Can't go wrong with either of those, IMHO!

Agh, that penguin room is so adorable! They're my favorite - I can just see us pushing the beds together because I made hubby sleep in that one with me instead of a master...
We used homeaway for our vacation rental and it was the private pool that sold us as well. Plus the idea of a soak in a hot tub after a long day...![]()
When are you going? I've had close friend stay at WH and loved it.

Yum! My sister adores Nutella sandwiches and she has a limited number of foods she really likes (special needs) so that's great to know! We also didn't go to either of these places last time, which is perfect. Thanks!
