Booked our 2014 trip today!! We are staying Sept. 13 - 20 at ASMo. We are hoping to do MnSSHP one night! I booked ASMo in hopes for FD, but if no deal comes out I will probably switch to AoA LM room. Can't wait!

:woohoo: Yay for getting booked! I got your dates and resort changed. If you end up switching to AoA, just post and give me a heads-up! :teeth:

I'm happy to say that I booked our 2014 vacation on Saturday! We'll be @ Disney Feb 21 - Mar 1! Can't wait - already on a planning frenzy!!! :cheer2:

Well be there that exact same time! Were staying at POFQ and praying for free dining!

We'll be staying at POP. As far as plans, I've loosely planned our itinerary - including meals (still working through those trying to decide between some of our previous 'favorites' and some new places to try). This time, we're venturing out to the dark side for a day... with on big HP fan, we kind of have to... couldn't put it off any longer... lol.

We're planning to fly in around lunch time on that Friday, so we get part of a day at MK then.

So looking forward to it (and, we've only been back from our last trip for 5 months... lol). I love the planning aspect of it too - although, I think that I maybe become obsessed to an insane level.. lol

Thanks for the welcome!! Happy to be here! :)

Edited to add... nice to see others on here that will be in the world at the same time!!! :)

No go on the Play and Dine lunch with the Fantasmic package, it's dinner only now. :sad1: It looks like Fantasmic is going to be a FP+ option though and I just happen to have an empty HS fast pass spot left. TSM and ST are the only real rides we're doing, the rest is shows, Jedi training and the coveted (in our house, anyway) Sofia/Cars/Wreck it Ralph M&G.

Ok, so I know FP+ is the red headed step child around these parts but can I just say I'm so looking forward to it? We don't do 12 hour park days and we don't do all of the headliners so I'm sure that plays a big part in how I feel but it pretty much just solved one of my biggest stresses of the trip. I really want to do CRT breakfast on our first MK day while we still have monorail access and the odds of getting a pre-opening reservation are slim to none. I'm most likely going to have to settle for a 9am spot but then we lose that first hour of park time, which I had dedicated to Tomorrowland Speedway and ETWB. If what I'm seeing is right and both of those are about to become FP+ options then I can do my 9am breakfast and still have secured spots when I'm done. It's win/win for us. Plus, I get a pretty purple bracelet and I'm not ashamed to admit I can be won over with free stuff. :rotfl:

:welcome: to all of our new people!

:welcome: to all of our new people!

You seem to know about this FP+! I tried reading the info threads but they are HUGE!

From what I gather, it's linked to your ticket, correct? So you can use it, even if you're staying off-site?

And I assume there's a place on the WDW website where you can reserve your rides (just like you can reserve a table for dinner)?

When is this supposed to begin? And is it a 180 day reservation window, like dining?

So that means we'll have to have purchased our tickets by mid-November (for example because our 180 day reservation date is November 12th) in order to reserve our FP+ rides?

Thanks SO much for any details you can offer! It's so confusing! :faint:

Is FP+ only for on-site guests at this point?

Sent from my Samsung S3 using DISBoards

Right now it is. I guess working out all the bugs. But I think it should be in full force next year and everyone will use it. On site or off site.

I think!

As far as I know, it's linked to the ticket so offsite guest should be able to use it once it's fully rolled out. Reservations are made through the MDE site but only 60 days out so you won't need tickets quite that soon. There aren't a lot of details out yet but this August test seems like it's a pretty big one so we should be getting more info as these people start reporting back.

If I had to guess I'd say we see the roll out start Septemberish with all resorts fully rolled out before Christmas but that's 100% speculation on my part. I know Disney plans on having it rolled out sometime this year.

If it works as intended (big IF with the Disney IT department), it really will fit our touring style perfectly. If I can guarantee the few headliners we do want then making RD doesn't become such a huge priority on our EP and second MK days. We'd still try to get there early but maybe 10 instead of 9. I know DH would love the chance to sleep in a little bit.

ETA: Still no Feb hours. :(

We got all our ADRs today except for the The Plaza, it hasn't been put into the system yet for January 2014. And to our surpirse my sister and her family will be joining us for this trip. I could not believe we were able to make ADR for 8 people so easily today.

Thank you!!!

That was very helpful! We are going to wait until at least 3 months out before buying our tickets then. I don't want to do it wrong somehow and miss out on something.

Hope your park hours are released soon! pixiedust:

So, I just called to make our reservations and the system is down!

Okay - I need a FP+update...when I make my reservations am I going to have to make any decisions regarding this? Or will it be an option I figure out once I am closer to 60 days out?

My trip is now official! While our package is not booked yet, we just booked the airfare. That's what makes a trip official for us, since it's non-refundable! :p

We'll be arriving late on February 22 and flying out late February 28. We'll have a full 5 days in the parks plus a half day on the last day, which is our longest trip yet!

We'll be staying at Pop Century, our home away from home! It will be me, my sister, my BIL, and my niece who will turn 2 on the trip.

I'm in the process of getting my two closest friends to also commit to the trip. Both say they really want to go but will not make a commitment.:( Either way, my sister and BIL are definitely going, so if the friends don't commit I will be added to their reservation. If they do decide to go, we'll make our own.

Yay!
