Okay, so this is will be my 3rd attempt in planning an August trip. I'm looking at 8/23-9/1.

Originally had planned for Aug '12 but my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer so we axed the trip (she's a year in the clear!). We then decided to go this upcoming August, but although I went back to work last Sept, it's only part-time so not enough for a trip.

Been putting aside a little from my checks but once my oldest DD starts kindergarten in Sept, I will up my hours at work and be able to save for an extended trip in Aug '14.

It will be DD5 and DD2 (her birthday is Thursday!!). I'm planning on staying either at POP or POFQ.

Hopefully we will make it this time around.

Aeroplan finally released their February flights yesterday....SO we are goin January 21 through February 1 and staying at POFQ.

Hoping for nice weather and lower crowds! This will be our first time travelling with our baby boy, he will be 18 months when we go. SO excited!

You will have so much fun with your DS! My DS was 16 months are first trip and his reactions were priceless. He already could recognize a lot of the characters thanks to DD so it was fun seeing him get excited. Some of our most memorable moments even occurred when he was sleeping - with having pluto pet him, Minnie kiss him on the head and goofy pushing the stroller and trying to wake him up (all at character spot in Epcot!)

Checking in! We're going to WDW April 29 - May 2, 2014 and then boarding the Fantasy for a cruise! It's for our Honeymoon!!! We're hoping to stay in an AKL Savannah room. This is our first trip to use a TA. Does anyone know if a TA can book a room on rented DVC points? Any suggestions?? We plan on going to Epcot for the majority of the time at WDW for the Flower & Garden Festival. I'm so excited about the food and drinks booths they added this year... Hopefully they'll do it again next year!

Hi there, and to the group! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

AFAIK, a TA cannot book using rented DVC points, only through the WDW reservation system. However, I could be completely wrong on that. Hopefully someone else who knows for certain will chime in.

Just checking in...it's been awhile! Still counting down the days. I actually started my journal for planning today. Just a few things written down, but I think my DH thinks I am a a little crazy! Well, maybe not, he loves the planning as much as I do!

Planning does help with the anticipation of the actual trip. My daughter and I are the planners and our good natured husbands are "good" with whatever we decide. It is a wonderful thing!

I'm definitely the planner here, also. My husband is happy to let me take complete control of any vacation planning, especially WDW.

BWV, but I'm thinking with F&W going on at that time it may be hard to get. Maybe OKW, but it has two beds instead of a bed and sofa in the studio.

At the 7 month window I couldn't get BWV or BC for my dates this October. The easiest rooms to get were SSR, AKL, BLT and OKW.... I am also going between the ToT ten miler and Columbus Day. So if renting points you can see where I'm going with that! The two beds was the reason we didn't book at OKW- I like to lounge around and beds and chairs ehh not my favorite loungers!

Yes! I always have that "wait, did I make a mistake" moment after I book - do you? I'm always afraid if I'd waited I could have gotten a better deal, or checked one more airline ... I drive myself crazy!
