We have a third option on the table. I was talking to DH about it last night and after laughing his butt off over me planing a vacation more than 2 years (if only he knew :rotfl:) away he suggested extending this trip by 1 day and then bringing my mom, her husband and my niece along on the May trip as our treat. My mom and her DH paid for our entire trip in 2011 and she was so busy with race stuff that they didn't really get to enjoy the parks much. My niece loved WDW but it was too much for my nephew to handle so her best chance of going back is if we take her. Also, built in babysitting if we want to go out one night. If we went mid-May like I plan on doing then my mom and her DH would be there for their 5th anniversary which is always nice. Right now I think this is the front runner.

That sounds so nice!!

October, so during F&W. ::yes:: That's the plan for the moment, anyway. :lmao:

Well if we go to AKV Jan 14 I will give my full opinion! Also, if you can try and book at the 11 month window and get a value room. It's in Jambo, you have a chance of a savannah view- they are a little smaller but with only the 2 of you...

I would appreciate that - TIA! :goodvibes

You can book online and/or book packages once the rates for 2014 are released, which should be sometime this Summer. Rates are usually released in August, but they have come out earlier in the past, in June or July. :goodvibes

UGH that is such a long time to wait. I guess I will tell her to call. We are already booked for January 2014 but she isn't.

We are talking about October 2014. Maybe! lol Although now that I've typed it, it makes it real, right? lol

 Hello, and :welcome: to the group! Typing it out is the first step to making it reality, right? ;)

Look forward to getting to know you. Once you get your plans solidified, give us an update on when/where and I'll add you to the list. Here's a little pixiedust that this trip comes to be for you. pixiedust:

Well, we have a family of 5 so renting DVC points is always an option, but I'm not so sure I'm brave enough for the no refund/change of plans thing. I like CR for the proximity to MK. I like BC for proximity to Epcot and SAB of course. Then again, AOA has family suites and is so stinkin adorable! So many choices!!! :)

Hello!

We are looking at March 2014 (to see the Flower & Garden Festival). Well I am looking, DBF has no idea that I am looking yet. :rotfl:

However, no matter what I will be going next year 2014.

I always stay at POFQ. Looking to do a longer trip this time (as I am planning it farther out) and doing 10 days. Trying to hit IOA as well, without feeling like I am missing something at WDW.

Can't wait to be able to put my deposit down, that makes it all real.

-Kristi

ps ignore the ticker, that is last years. :)

David's is a sponsor here on the DISboards and has an excellent reputation - have you checked into that? You pay a little more, but the contract is pretty straight-forward. Just a thought.

AoA is pretty cool looking - I will never be able to get my husband to stay there, though! Maybe someday on a solo trip ... :scratchin There are people active on this thread who have stayed there, though, if you need info I'm sure they'd be happy to chime in and help. :teeth:

Had you thought of POR? I know you'd have to stay in the AB section, but it's another option for you.

Hi Kristi! :welcome: to our group! I love your determination about your trip - hopefully DBF will come around and realize you NEED to go. Don't say want, say NEED. ;)

10 days sounds fantastic! :woohoo: You can actually put your deposit down now ... you're definitely within the 499 days. ::yes:: You wouldn't know exact pricing, but you could go ahead and book a room-only reservation. THAT would make it really, really real for ya. ;)

Anyhow, once you get your dates figured out, let me know and I'll update your info on the list. Look forward to chatting more with you as you make your plans. :hyper2: You have to at least come back and tell us what happens when you tell DBF about the trip. :teeth:

Yes, I will probably go with David's if we go that route! As far as resorts, I have actually booked POR a couple times and cancelled for fear of being cramped. We usually do a 3br condo or townhouse at Windsor Hills, but I want to give my ds an onsite experience before he leaves for college! That way he will have had both experiences at least! ;)

This is our first time staying on property.... Im sooo excited.

:welcome: to the DIS and to our group! Congrats on booking your first onsite stay!

Looks like your ticker is cut off at the bottom. If you take out a few lines of text or consolidate them in your sig line, you'll be able to see the whole thing when you post. ;)

I'll get you added to the list - if you have questions about anything, do not hesitate to ask. Jump on in and join in the conversation! :hyper2:

David's is who we're considering using - I've heard nothing but good things. ::yes::

DVC would definitely give you more room over POR. Are you looking into a 1BR or 2BR?

Yay! I'm so glad I found this thread, I thought I was the only one who plans so far ahead :) We are going either the first or second week of May of 2014. It will be DH, DS(10 at that time), DS(4 at that time), and of course me! We were going to take the boys to Atlantis in the Bahamas for 4 nights, but it's cheaper for a week of Disney!

Edit to add we are also staying at Windsor Hills, again. I love that place!

Hi there Missy, and :welcome: to our group! Glad you decided to join us!

You're definitely not alone. I think the original 2014 group started almost a year ago, so you're in good company with the early planning. ;)

Once you decides on dates, let me know and I'll update the list. :teeth:

Just an FYI for everyone traveling in January/ Feb. I just checked flights on United out of OKC and we can all travel for 775 round trip..that's for 3 tickets! That's an unheard of price for OKC so maybe they are having good deals for other cities! Good luck!

That's great! Thanks for posting. Hopefully prices out of other places will be just as good.
