capeseal said:Yeah, I have trouble getting going again too. I may walk a little at the later water stops, if I am fumbling to get a good drink of water into me, but if I stop and get in line for a picture, I am afraid I'll have trouble getting going again. It is a better strategy for me to run right through.
Ah! A dead ipod battery would really bum me out. Great job getting through your planned run and for finding a formula that works for you. I have found that my formula is "don't stop running." If I slow to a walk or stop, I have a terrible time picking it up again.
Yeah, me too. I do stop for very short water breaks but I find the run/walk method very difficult for me to get into a groove. However, I find that the worst miles are the first 2.5. I do whatever I can to not stop during then! Those are the miles that I say "what was I thinking signing up for 13 miles?!?!" But then magically, it gets better....

For me, it's that first 1-1.5 miles before my system realizes that it just better suck it up, 'cause this chica is NOT going to stop anytime soon.

3.2 miler yesterday with an avg. 10:30 pace (including a couple of quick walk breaks to get rid of a side stitch). LOVE those great run days!!!
)Any suggestions? I thought about somewhere along the boardwalk, can I get into Epcot through the International gateway? Thanks!
...I have no idea why the discrepancy. I started the Nike+ before the Garmin, but it has a 3 second countdown which is when I started the Garmin. When I finished, I stopped the Nike, then the Garmin. I don't know what's up with that.
. I went the distance I set out to do and I did it in under 12:30/mile so nothing else matters. I was wearing my RunDisney shirt so I felt extra special
