What do you buy at Disney gift shops?

Relatively new DVC member here (first DVC trip trip Feb 2024) and trying to come up with a gift shop “strategy.” One idea is that we each purchase a single item of apparel per trip as a memento. Perhaps starting with one from our home resort (VGF) and from any resort we stay at it the future. Or one from each park. Or one with each of our favorite characters. Or, or, or…

Would love to get some ideas for this by hearing what you shop for in the parks or at the resorts. Thanks!

My wife is collecting a resort pin from all the different ones we have stayed in over the years (and each new one we do as well). She has a cork board at home to display them.

I also grabbed Sulley from a Disney store in Ontario, CA, along with Stitch’s boojiboo at Disneyland and Elio at Disney Springs.

If you do this, even if you don't make that purchase a routine, I'd suggest writing the year somewhere inside the clothing. I have a huge collection of WDW shirts, and while I know when I bought some of them, I wish I knew that for all of them.

I like pins and magnets. Sometimes an ornament. Occasionally a shirt or hoodie. My kids like shoulder pals etc

Pins and magnets seem like a nice combination. Apparel for sure. Love seeing anyone at WDW walking around with a should pal!
