Congrats! This is something I needed to read today since DH signed me up for a 10k on Mother's Day. The most I have run since November is 4-5 miles and the longest run I've done this year was 4 miles on Saturday so I am feeling very apprehensive and out of shape. DH just said it would do me good to jump back into it with a fun female-only run so now I am going to have an anxiety-filled week trying to run a little farther before Sunday.
Even the pros have pre-race anxiety, so you're definitely not alone there. The trick is to just HAVE FUN WITH IT!

I need to remember this. My 10K on Sat was a little disappointing but I need to keep in mind if I'm not in it to win it (which I will NEVER be), then I'm just in it to finish it.
I posted this in the May exercise challenge thread today and think it will make you laugh.
I have to exercise in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

Morning exercise is no way my thing, but it's still funny either way. See? Made you laugh didn't it???

I felt so great yesterday after the Broad Street Run
Todaywaist down EVERYTHING hurts!! Walking down steps - I look like I am 100. Everyone at work was pretty much in the same boat. But, it makes me wonder if I should really sign up for the Feb Princess race of the 10K on Sat and the Princess Half on Sunday. I know that 6 is less than 10 miles,
but the thought of running 2 today let alone 13.1 - not happening!!
(this is where someone says something encouraging about training and I can do it)
How about this one - You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. -Wayne Gretzky
