Also, in general I did NOT see a lot of sick people at wine and dine last year. Medical tents were very empty as I passed them on the course. It was a very nice temperature in my opinion 50-55 and no sun helps!![]()
Last year's Wine & Dine was not as bad as the first Wine & Dine and last year's ToT 10-miler. The fiasco in 2010 with cramming all the runners into the front of the World Showplace pavillion to wait 45-60 minutes (at least the middle-of-the-pack runners) to claim their bags led to lots of people feeling dizzy, sick, & pukey.

since Nov I have only run about 1x a week and maxed out at 6 miles only 2x
I did get a cramp at the 5th mile but knew I was doing well so I just pushed to finish. I actually felt fine by the end.
I ended up having a small turkey sub around 5 and a protein bar around 9pm. With a few Honey Stingers throughout the race, I was fine the rest of the night. I always drink a lot of water anyway, so hydration wasn't really even an issue. But like everyone says, figure it out BEFORE race time! It's better to have puked at home on a training run than during the race!
Wow! You guys smoked it!!!

Congrats!

and now I am hooked and training for 5 1/2 marathons.
waist down EVERYTHING hurts!! Walking down steps - I look like I am 100. Everyone at work was pretty much in the same boat. But, it makes me wonder if I should really sign up for the Feb Princess race of the 10K on Sat and the Princess Half on Sunday. I know that 6 is less than 10 miles,
but the thought of running 2 today let alone 13.1 - not happening!!
this is where someone says something encouraging about training and I can do it)
