The now Non-Turkey Day PTR. Bad news UPD: 11/16!

So I've made a few ADR changes, which are noted in red below. I would also LOVE any opinions on the ADR's that you would change. I've also noted my OOP meals. If there are any you'd ditch, let me know I'm having second thoughts about doing 50's, GFC, and Chefs (I put these in blue since I'm hem hawin' about them). I would like to do a LTT lunch one day instead, but am clueless as to the other two. I'm still holding out hope against hope for a....don't laught at me too hard now...Le Cellier dinner one night since Nana has never been. And...green items cannot be changed due to kids choices. So here is where I'm at as of this minute:

Day 1/Arrival Day
B - On the road
L - WPE @ DTD
D - The Wave @ 7:10pm (Alice will be receiving her custom cake at this meal, since this is the place she really wants to eat at)

Day 2
B- In room or snacks from the resort
L - CS @ Epcot; definitely Tangeirine for me
D - O'Hana @ 9:30pm - family pick (we do this time purposefully so that we can watch the EWP at 9 on the beach and then request a window seat for Wishes during our meal. The is just the best!)

Day 3
B - CS @ SSR Goods to Go
L - Sci Fi @ 3:05pm - all the kids want to go here! OOP
D - 50's Prime Time @ 9:50pm I'm scared to death of CS at DHS We could absolutely eat in the room or use snack credits for BF, but what about dinner??? Should we hit the BW??? If so, where???
Day 4
B - CS @ Main St Bakery
L - Gardenview Tea Room @ 2pm for the girls Alice will be receiving her White Chocolate Glass Slipper dessert I ordered at the Tea. OOP
D - Kona Cafe @ 7:30pm - my pick

Day 5
B- WPE
L - Planet Hollywood @ 11:30am with our 2 $15 vouchers! Rest is OOP
D - Grand Floridian Cafe - my pick for a nice meal with lots of variety, but now I'm not so sure and I don't know why?

Day 6 (Turkey Day!)
B - Tusker House @ 8am - Stitch's pick...she loves Donald OOP
L- CS @ I DON'T KNOW WHERE! HELP! I had orginally put Mara here, but they serve fried shrimp. This means they use the same oil to fry their shrimp as they do their chicken strips, fries, etc. And that's a BIG no no for Stitch now We actually could just skip it lunch today since we have the big buffet for BF and the AYCE Turkey Dinner at night.
D - WCC @ 8:55pm - my DBFF swears by WCC and her and her family just LOVE it. Her and I have really similar palettes so I think this is a good choice. It's also what Nana picked too.

Day 7
B - Kona Cafe @ 10am - I MUST HAVE TONGA TOAST this trip!!! OOP
L - CS @ Epcot @ Sunshine Seasons
D - Chefs de France @ 8:50pm - chose this cuz of the Prixe Fixe menu so we could all have appitizer, entree, and desert. But now I'm second guessing! Thoughts???

Day 8
B - Crystal Palace @ 8:10am - my pick for Stitch. OOP
L - CS @ MK - either CHH or Pecos Bills...this is where I'm thinking of putting LTT and ditching CP...THOUGHTS???
D - 1900 Park Fare @ 6:05pm - Stitch's pickDay 9
B - O'Hana @ 7:45am - Stitch's pick OOP
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I just need your help and opinions. Pretty please???? I have 6 OOP meals on top of our DDP and I feel that's just WAY too many and I'm not really getting any savings. Ugh....my brain hurts.... :sad2:

Okay, now that is a lot of food!! You definitely have some wiggle room here, I would suggest a couple of things:

Day 3: You could skip the 50's Prime Time Cafe in my opinion. I think people go there mostly for the atmosphere. The food is just so so. I've been there twice and have had my fill. You could do one of two things instead: Have dinner at one of the Boardwalk Resort restaurants:
Big River Grille & Brewing Works: They have a wide variety of soups and salads, as well as American Fare entrees. Check their menu out at: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=2
Another place you could try at the Boardwalk is:
Kouzzina. You might have to be a little adventurous with this restaurant as it's Mediterranean. Look at the menu here:http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=561

With the other options available, you could try a CS at HS. Now, I know people have mentioned their distaste for CS here, and really, it is limited. Depending on what your kids like to eat, there are a couple of options that I've had and I do enjoy:

Studio Catering Company: They have salads, wraps, sandwiches, and hot dogs.

Backlot Express: I've eaten here a few times and although there isn't anything spectacular on the menu, the food has always been good. Things like cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and a salad choice are here.

I would honestly go with what you think your family would like the best.

Day 5. Keep your GFC. I've heard nothing but good things about this place. The atmosphere alone would be worth it in my opinion.

Day 6. Turkey Day: CS at AK isn't really too hard. Flame Tree BBQ is by far my favorite. You should be able to find something here for everyone. Now, I haven't been to Yak n Yeti's CS yet, but that is a must do on my list. Take a look at their menus:
Flame Tree BBQ: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=169

Yak n Yeti: Well, they didn't have it up, I don't know why. But from my ITOUCH application, I can run down a couple of choices: They have American style chinese: Sweet and Sour Pork, Honey Chicken, Kung Pao Beef, Shrimp Lo Mein, and a Mandarin Chicken Salad. They also have sides of Chicken Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, and Fries (believe it or not)

Day 7: We are going to Chefs de France, that was my pick for one of the three TS restaurants we're going to. I haven't eaten there, but the menu looks pretty good to me. This one I'm not much help on, because, really, I would tell you to go!

I hope that this extremely long post has been helpful. If you would like more advice, go to the dining boards and read some of the reviews. That's always a good way to get information.

P.S. Aren't you excited??? You have only 15 days!!!

Thank you SO much for your help! You rock!!! I already cancelled Chefs de France for this trip. Now I just need to cancel one more:confused3 Leaning towards cancelling 50's at this point, but just can't decide!:headache:

I wouldn't ditch Crystal Palace. They are getting to redo it and this will be your last chance to see it before the renovations.

I've been house-sitting and babysitting since Saturday. It's only Monday and I already REALLY need this vacation even more so than I did before! 5 kids....whew!:headache:

Are you packing now? Checking your lists? Are you too excited to sleep?

All of the above!:hyper: House/babysitting makes the time go by quicker! I've already got the girls packed. Charming is easy, he takes care of himself  Me and Nana are always last. Looks like the weather is going to be fabulous while we're down there too:thumbsup2 Just like we like it;) I'm going to go get my button making thing you told me about today at AC Moore.

You have to be excited too right???

I am too excited for still being 17 days out.... :rolleyes1 The kids are not helping as everyday they text which ride should we ride first? What is your favorite all time ride? Should we take pics of toontown so when it is gone we have the origonal? Where can we get cheese for fries? Are we doing this? Can you remember going to Tom Sawyer Island? Did we ever ride the riverboat thing? On and on and on............ Now I have to try and figure out where a grocery store is because that is next on my list of things to do. But... my binder is getting very thick with stuff from all 3 trips.

There is a publix on Irlo Branson Parkway that is HUGE! It's about 4 miles away, but worth the trip! I miss Publix like u wouldn't believe!:thumbsup2

And I have to say....I'M IN SINGLE DIGITS :woohoo::yay::dance3::banana:

I'm so jealous of you ladies.
You don't have much longer to go!

If I pay the baggage fees can I stow away? Pwetty Pwease?!

Excitement is all around us!! 10 days for me, 9 days for you!!!

I do have a suitcase set out and have put all the Disney essentials in it: hats, t-shirts, Pal Mickey(:lmao:), and trading pins. DH thinks I'm nuts.

Got some bad news about the death of a very close friend on Friday. I know have to go to a funeral over Thankgiving. So we are cutting our Disney time in half. We are going to spend our other half in Clearwater Beach, which is my hometown. So we will be at SSR 11/21 - 11/25 and heading to Clearwater the afternoon of the 25th. We're still going to have a blast and our March trip will be even more fun...and longer...now:) Oh and now my mom is not coming. Which is really ok by me, I get my kiddos all to myself!

I'm sorry to hear that your plans changed. But things happen for a reason and this will give you some quality time with the kids before the busy holiday season.

We're driving:car::drive: I'll pick you up on my way out;)

I'd even ride on the roof if I had to!

Did you guys hear about the lady who bought something really big (a bed or board or something) and she made her daughter sit on it on the top of her car and drove home?! OMG! Who is that stupid?! Sorry if that was any of you or your family.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend:hug: I am happy that you will still be able to go. Are you going to keep your ADR's the same or will you try to switch them up?

We've cancelled quite a bit. I've posted them on the November cancelled thread. Thank you for the kind words:hug:

Well I gues you are already there. I hope you have a wonderful time despite the passing of your friend.

Have fun! Take lots of pics and let us know when you get back!

I am so very sorry to hear about the death of your friend. I am glad that you still will have some Disney time with your children.
