Trip is getting close, starting to think about what we need to pack. I know the obvious like sunscreen, hats..etc..But what are some things that I may not be thinking of. Things that when you were on your trips you needed to run out and buy or things you wish you had've brought and went without.

11 sleeps:banana:

nearly forgot my cell phone charger, and we need a charger for our digital camera battery... and a charger for my kids' DS, too. We'd have been cryin' if we hadn't remembered!

haha, those are the 3 chargers we need to bring too!! and would be devstated to forget any of them. I need to start making lists! thank you!

Sunglasses. You'd be surprised how easy it is to bring them and leave them in the car.

extra batteries, our camera doesn't have a charger, we use rechargeable AA's. we forget the phone chargers all the time, luckily we drive and we have our car chargers. lol something I was forgetting so often that I finally just put it in my sling bag, chapstick!! I use it regularly when I'm in the sun or wind.

When you get there, don't forget to bring the sunscreen INTO the park when you get there.... We forgot it in the hotel and I have two little ones with very fair skin. Needless to say, I had to buy the $12 bottle of sunscreen in the park to keep my kids from getting sunburnt!

Make yourself a list of the things you will take into the park with you (in your backpack or whatever it is that you are bringing). That way you won't be overly excited(or too tired) in the mornings before heading to the park and forget something back at the hotel.

If you're driving, bring plenty of water. It will save you a fortune!

Yes bring your own water, and then refill at the water fountains throughout the park.

Go to themouseforless.com and print up their "Ultimate Packing List." This has saved my life on several vacations...not just Disney ones.

A roll of TP.:rolleyes1

To wipe your kids noses. (geez)

baby wipes (even if you don't have a baby;)) They are great for sticky hands, messy faces.
hand sanitizer (I like the kind from bath and body works, it smells good!)
small plastic sandwich baggies, I never leave home without these. They always come in handy! I have used them for snacks for the kids, wet clothes, storing the sunscreen bottle (so it does not leak all over everything!) and just recently... we took a road trip down the coast. I brought PB&J to make sandwiches with, but forgot the knife. Those little baggies saved the day! I put my hand in one and used my fingers like a knife :lmao: !

Have a fun trip:)

For right now, instead of lists, snag a plastic bin if you have an extra, and start putting the little things in there. We have a "going to disney" bin that has chargers, ponchos (we bought the 7.50 ones from Disneyland a couple trips ago and keep re-using them, they hold up very well!), autograph book, some pens, pins, lanyards, and so on. Gift cards, too, that I've purchased or received in various ways.

Even if you might need a charger between now and then, that should be where it goes when not being used, so that it gets put back there, not forgotten while plugged into a wall somewhere.

We bought batteries (non rechargeable) in the park last October for $16.00:scared1: (for 4). My first set just started to die yesterday! I was pretty surprised at how long they lasted, but will not do that again!

I forgot my chapstick and all of my pictures have me looking like I have this horrid shade of lipstick on, but it is just my badly burnt lips!:rotfl2: Needless to say that is the first item on my list and batteries right after!

Gum,if you are flying and your ears haven't popped yet, they don't sell gum in the park, hand lotion to go with the hand sanitizer, the liquid soap in the bathrooms dries out my hands, band aids, big ones small ones a variety, a mini toothbrush and toothpaste for the park, I know that I like to brush at least once while I'm there especially if I am there for more than 10 hours , a refillable bottle of water that you can refill at a drinking fountain. Thats all I can think of right now. Oh and hats, its close to summer time and if your head isn't protected, you will be tired and cranky like I was 2 weeks ago, grrrr:rotfl: !! I hope you all have a great time!

Regarding sunscreen...bring a tube to the park & apply it on everyone while you are waiting at the front gate 20-30 min. before opening (instead of rushing it in the room).

For men. Wear cargo pants/shorts....period.

Sunglasses, camera & cell phone doesn't carry well in bermuda shorts.

Have fun. :hippie:

Plan to get in line for the last ride of the night no more than 5 minutes before closing time to utilize the rest of the final hour best. You can get an extra ride in during the last hour planning this way and when you make your final ride of the day the park will be closed.

Totally good ideas! those are things that I like to do too.

My list is:

lip balm, travel size mouthwash, small tubes of toothpaste, Kleenex, moist towelettes,q-tips (don't want dirty ears after all ;) ) little powdered packages for flavoring water, I reuse my plastic water bottle, until it is time to recycle it, phone charger, sunglasses, toothpicks, travel size sewing kit, bandages, first aid ointment, such as neosporin, anti-itch creams, (in case you are snacked upon by an insect, etc.) aspirin, sunscreen, those bath poofy puffs, and then there are all of my hair accessories, which is a whole nother topic ;)
pretty much every thing that I like to collect is in a most convenient travel size form.
My toiletries are regular size, with exception of the mouth rinse.
and I too, have been storing them away in a plastic container, I like the clear type, that way it is very easy to see how your collection is coming. :)
What I am still looking for are those little plastic cups that are collapsible. They are a perfect travel size, and fit so nicely into your purse, or bag.
I just cannot seem to find them, so far.

ok, i must be really lame, but pack your underwear and socks first!!!! it's happened to me 3 times where i've forgotten and had to pick up some up at the store! :guilty:

To wipe your kids noses. (geez)

A roll of toilet paper has many uses beyond wiping noses and you never know what accidents you might have. Whit that said, if no one else has mentioned it, bring a roll of masking tape (easy to tear, great for labeling, and works as well as other types of tape).
