The Non-Catchy Title PTR

 at riding the Kali ride 10x's. You guys may be water logged by then. That ride can reeaaallllyyy soak you to the bone, just one ride on it and Noah came off looking like a drowned rat! It will keep you cool though!:lmao:

The counter service restaurants are pretty good at AK. We have tried Restaurantasaurus, Flame Tree BBQ, and Pizzafari (think that might be all they have except for kiosks) and we enjoyed them all.

lol, I'm not sure if we'll make it 10x, but I know my kids will want to!! We rode one like this at Six Flags & that's all they wanted to do. We were drenched & not looking pretty at all! I don't know how the two compare. I'll have to save that ride for last! :upsidedow

Great plans for AK! Maddie want to do Kali River Rapids, but not me! She'll have to bring Daddy on that one! I told her if she wants to go on it, she better wear a poncho!

The only TS we've ever done at AK was the Tusker House breakfast. It was pretty good, but not our favorite for breakfast. I really wanted to eat at Flame Tree our first night, but then I read that it's closed 8/8/10-9/24/10. Oh well. Next time!

I'll have a poncho, but I'm sure with my luck I'll be walking around looking like a river rat.

I can tell you about TP's crowd calendar in about a week. :goodvibes I am curious too but do not have any direct experience with it. I have TGM too but they do not agree most days.

Oh you give me hope! We have rain on the forecast for the first part of the week--hoping it does not either!! A quick shower is fine but not whole days of it.

Are you saying that TP & TGM say two different things on which parks are the best for each day???
I hoping for no rain for the rest of this month for both of us! Only showers during the night!!! :thumbsup2

If you can find the time, you should definitely do Festival of the Lion King at AK! One of the best shows in Disney, IMHO!:thumbsup2

We will try to find the time, thanks! :)

Ohh I totally forgot about Kali! My kids will flip for that ride too! I can't belive our time is almost here! :cool1:

I like your Rafiki picture too!! I was going to say that Ike sounded familiar! I was working at AK when Hurricane Ike hit! We were all cussing it because of all the rain and having to work outside in it!!!!! I do think they did a done of release of shifts while Ike was in FL which they never did to my team of interns..with that, we were happy!!

I hope you get to ride more this time!!

I can remember the name of the hurricane because it's my nephew's name. I kept telling him not to ruin my 1st Disney trip!

I can't believe you had to work outside in that rain! I would've been cussing too! :rotfl:

Your AK day sounds like fun. I hope you get to ride things that many times. I can't believe your trip is so close :banana::banana: You are going to have a great day:goodvibes

Okay, so I'm pretty sure that Lexi and Levi don't ever take a bad picture! They are so cute, love that pic, too!!! Adorable!:cutie:

Your plans sound great for AK...so funny about the rapids! River rats for sure!! but hey, it's fun, why not!!! I just won't worry about doing your hair that day!!;)

How exciting that it's coming so quickly....I bet the kids are super excited!

Love your plans for AK, I hope it's a better day than your last trip:hug:

Well, better late than never, right?? I'm here, and I've read all you've posted so far. I love it! Sounds like we have similar plans (leaving on a Friday so you can have a full day Saturday), though I haven't mentioned that yet in my PTR! Your kids are beautiful, and I love all the matching shirts! Your scrapbook makes me want to make one, too!

Thanks! I cannot believe it's this close & this is my last weekend before trip! I've got so much to do!:scared1:

Thanks for the compliment on Lexi/Levi.

I will fix my hair everyday, but after 30 mins in that humidity, you will not be able to tell that I did! I think I'll pack a hat for after the rapids because my hair will look like the bride of Frankenstein!

The kids have been begging to go!

I like driving down a day earlier, I think it takes care of traveling stress. We would be rushed/stressed if we drove the day our tickets started.

Just joining in! Great pre tripee! Your trip sounds like you all are going to have a magical time!

Love the pre trip shopping! It's one of my fave things to do to get ready for vacation! BTW, I wear Teva flip flops and Keens to WDW. They are water proof and super comfy and supportive. I switch on and off because there is so much walking. I love your itineary! My family makes fun of me because I laminate mine! lol

Hey, I have to ask, where you got your Cinderella shoe shirt in the beg of this report?
It is too cool!

Kali River Rapids (10x) – I know this will be Lexi/Levi’s favorite ride already

Well, you better be prepared to get soaked. Repeat ridings almost guarantee a drenching. 4 people out of 12 on the raft get soaked to the bones, the others usually stay pretty dry - hint...if you are riding backwards down the big hill, you're getting soacked.

DD loves this ride...myself, I think they missed the boat (no pun intended) with this one. As a raft ride, it is much too short and so little happens - just one big drop and that's it. Bluto's Bilge Rats at Universal is 10 times better, and our local amusement park has a far superior raft ride as well..I just expect more from Disney.

Being from SC you're probably already aware of this...but when we rode in September '07, I got completely soaked, and I didn't mind because I thought it would feel good in the heat, but it is SOOO hot and humid, that you warm up, but never dry off, so it makes the weather feel even more like a sauna as you have to walk around all day in wet squishy clothes. I've since decided I will only ride Kali late in the day, when we are heading back to the room shortly.

EE on the other hand...just awesome!

Had to come over and do a little:dance3: because today you have hit SINGLE DIGITS! Yay, for only 9 days to go!:banana::banana::banana:

I need to get a good pair of flip flops for the trip. My Old Navy ones will not work for all day walking/running. I need to try the Teva flip flops. Thanks!
My friends think I'm crazy when I show them my itinerary, even the ones that go to WDW!

I bought the Cinderella shoe shirt off the DisneyStore website two years ago. I love it! I have not worn it much since then, because I wanted to keep it nice & white for when I went back to WDW. I'm glad I will get to wear it again soon!

We've been on a ride like this at Six Flags & beach like this & they were super short. I was hoping since this was at Disney it would be longer. That's would you would think, at least.
I think I will save it for the end of the day, so I will not have to walk around everywhere wet & miserable! :thumbsup2

I did NOT even realize that!!!!!!

Now I am excited :yay: and Panicked!!:scared1:

Thanks for the banana dance!

:dancer:Single Digit Dance Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dancer:

Here goes one of the times when I'm telling myself,
'Just get on Disboards for 15 minutes & get back to the things you need to be doing before kids get out of school' :laundy:
I'll see how fast I can post this. :rolleyes1

Day 6 Sept 23rd

We will do our favorites again, relax & enjoy our last MK day.

Lexi & Levi want to go back here:

image0437-1.jpg

They loved the BIG wave that will literally knock you down even if you're standing in the shallow part! You can see it coming behind us. It doesn't look big in the picture, but it is!
It swept Lexi & Levi away while the PP photographer was taking our picture!

Who knows, don't know if I can fit it in. I love the waterparks, but that's how we missed so much last time!

For Dinner, we will eat at Lexi & Levi's favorite restaurant, Chef Mickey's! ::MickeyMo::MinnieMopluto:
We had so much fun at this restaurant last time, that I know it will be the perfect last night of trip!

Day 7, Sept. 24th

Our last day at WDW

This will be kids choice day. We will go to whatever park they choose.
We will probably stay until lunch & then drive home :drive:

Makes me sad already just to think about it.:sad2:

Whew! Posted in 15 minutes!

Next Chapter: Two Celebrations!

Sounds so sad to even mention the last day! All of your plans sound great, we might let the kids pick our last day. I say might because i'm sure they won't agree. Maybe you will find some waterpark time. I'm also loving your bathing suit...so cute!!

We will have to look for each other at EMH on the 23rd!!!

We haven't been to a water park since 2006 and my DH and DD have only been to Blizzard Beach. I was thinking about squeezing one in on this trip, but we decided against it. Madison just started going on real water slides, so we'll wait til she's a bit older.
