The Night Before The Wedding...

I'm not 100% on this, but as of right now me and DF are planning on spending the night before the wedding together at the GF. He is going to wake up early and go play golf and spend the day with the guys, while I get ready with all the girls, and our ceremony isn't until 5:00pm, so we won't see each other until then after he leaves for golf. We live together, and I hate not spending the night with him, which is VERY rarely. I know it would add to the excitement, but my fear is I just won't be able to sleep well without him, especially since it will be in a hotel bed. (If I can sleep anyway....:rotfl:) I may change my mind, but I just kind of like the idea of waking up together the morning of our wedding.

I was thinking about this just last night! We are trying to figure out a way to not use our DVC points until the night of the wedding..but we will be in WDW a couple nights before the actual wedding. I'm thinking about staying with my parents at their SSR villa, and hopefully his two BM will be down there so he can stay with them. I kind of like the idea of not staying together until the wedding. :)

This is exactly my philosophy! We are staying together the night before. In the morning I am going to get ready in my parents room and DF is going to stay in ours so he can lounge around while I go through the hours of hair and makeup :lmao:

Hmm a good point has been made, I could see myself waking up with DF, it seems like a little magical moment the two of us could have together in the morning before it all gets started. Lol. Now I dont know...:rotfl:

DH and I lived together before we were married however his mom "Strongly suggested" aka demanded that we not stay together before the wedding in WDW. I knew I wanted to be apart the night before, but not the days before...but gave in. It actually wasn't too bad because it gave me extra time with my 2 maids whom I rarely see and since we were all together it cut out a lot of drama and last minute stress. Plus, I have a great memory of Jim walking me to my room after the rehearsal dinner after-party at Jellyrolls. (I totally told him to make it a good kiss b/c it was the "last single girl kiss" ;))

So we all were at the BW. My mom, 2 BFF's, and me in a Grand Villa. Jim had a 1 bedroom to himself for 2 nights (on points) and then moved to a room on the Inn side the night before the wedding with one of his friends. If I had Jim in the villa those first couple nights it would've saved us some points...so I do think you need to do what is best for YOU and not someone else. :thumbsup2

Oh and as far as the tuxes...if you use Carolyn Allen's they will collect the tuxes from Bell Services at noon the morning after the wedding. Then they picked up Jim's tux and my dress (to be cleaned and preserved) after the MK shoot at Bell services of our other resort. Super easy for everyone! :goodvibes

OMG I totally giggled on your "last single girl kiss". So sweet :)

Phily and I are planning on staying together the night before. Mainly because we want to share in the excitement before we go to sleep and when we wake up together on the morning of the wedding

We're going to stay together before the wedding. We already live together and we didn't want to pay for a separate room just to be apart. We also plan to do a first look so we'll see each other before the ceremony. We decided to splurge on our room for the wedding trip and I don't think DF would be too pleased if I made him stay somewhere else . I also think it will help with our nerves to wake up together and I'm really looking forward to having that time together before the wedding. I don't think it will take away from anything since DF won't see me getting ready and it will still be a surprise for him.

The morning of the wedding I have plans for a girls brunch and DF will be having lunch with the guys. The girls will get ready with me and DF will get ready somewhere else.

I hadn't really thought about this. We have lived together for 3 years and our wedding isn't until 5pm, we were going to "hang out" the morning of the wedding, possibily at the pool... and they I'll leave and get ready

We also live together and will be together the night before the wedding. Our ceremony is at 5 so I'll head over to the 2-bedroom at AKV where our bridal party is staying and he and the groomsmen will get ready in our room at the Contemporary. I know sleeping will be difficult anyway, and I didn't want to add any potential sleeplessness due to him being away. We're doing a first look anyway, so obviously I am not superstitious!

We stayed together the night before but mostly because we had an excellent room at the Dolphin with a Heavenly bed that neither of us wanted to give up! :rotfl: That bed was sooo comfy!

Our ceremony wasn't until 5pm and we had breakfast plans with all our families so we were planning on seeing each other that day anyway. We kept each other calm. It was nice :)

I really wouldn't care, and would rather be together, just like I'd rather have a first look, but Mike is traditional, so no night before and no first look :(

Thanks Girls! What can I say...I love SATC and had to quote it. :cutie:

Maybe we were strange b/c we had a 5pm ceremony, but didn't see or speak to one another the entire day before our first look. The only correspondence we had were the cards/notes we wrote to eachother. IDK there was something old fashioned and fun about it that I wouldn't change for anything. As I said before...do what's best for you and what will make the most memories for you. :goodvibes

Me & DF live together already too but we are going to spend the night before apart. He will stay in the villa we are hiring with his family and I will stay in a Disney hotel with my mum & maybe my sister too :)

Thats what we're doing...
Makes it more exciting :)

We did not choose to live together before we were married. My husband and I are very conservative, so of course we stayed in separate rooms the night before our wedding.

Something just occured to me, did you ladies keep your dress in the room with you? Im thinking, maybe I should have my mom hold it til the day before, or the day of. DF would try to sneak a peek :)

My dress is in a dress bag so you can't see it but since I'll be getting ready in my parents room I'll probably have them bring it down and keep it with them.

No, we will be apart the night before the wedding. On the day of, we won't see each other until the ceremony. Afterwards we'll do pictures.

I am having my parents keep my dress in their room where I will be getting ready. No one is getting ready in mine and DF's room because I am really OCD when it comes to things being clean and organized and I know I will end up being late because I will want everything clean in our room before we leave. lol. DF is gettin ready at a different resort.
