We were on a mission this weekend to share some Disney magic.
It didn't take long to find someone not having a magical day at DHS on Saturday, unfortunately. There was a young lady, probably mid-20s, who was crying and hiding her face. My daughters had just traded pins with a CM, who gave them some freebies (thanks again, Lynn!!). My youngest saw the lady crying, asked me if she could cross the street, and I said yes. She ran across, handed the lady a Tinkerbell pin, and told her "I hope you have a better day at Disney. Turn the frown upside down" then ran back to me. The young lady, looked at the pin, began to smile then waved like a mad woman at my daughter yelling thank yous across the street.
My oldest daughter also found a girl around 8 or so who was upset yesterday at Epcot. She was crying quietly, and we heard her dad say "I'm so sorry that happened to you" so even though we don't know what happened, my daughter told me she wanted to cheer up the little girl. Boy, did it work. She gave her a mickey pin and then we hopped on SSE. From the line, we looked back in time to see the girl, now all smiles, showing the pin to her flabbergasted mom while looking around to see where we had gone.
We were so happy to bring a smile to their faces. Disney is no place to cry!
We also gave away a few sets of fast passes. You'd be surprised how many people tell you no, they aren't interested in them at all. But the ones who did get them were very thankful to have them as FPs were gone for both Soarin' and TT!
