Someone let's their kid's run down the hallways at 6:30AM, I am going to go out and stand in the middle of the hallway in my thong underwear and give those parents a piece of my mind!!!

What behaviour of others bugged you on your last cruise?

One couple were really yelling at each other right before the Pirates of the Caribbean party...How could you be in a bad mood on a Disney Cruise!!!:confused3

They should have took it back to their room!!!:thumbsup2

On our last cruise (9/06) it was all the people who were taking flash picture during the shows. Even after the cast member asked them to stop as soon as the CM walked away they started again.

It really ruined for the rest of us. I believe CAMERAS should NOT be allowed in the theater and if you are caught using a flash the Camers and person should be asked to exit the theater. It is not fair for others to act in a disruptive manner. Being loud and rude or not following simply direction should not be allowed. It is very clear that you can take pictures in the theater but you CAN NOT use the flash as it is disruptive to those viewing the show and life threatening to the preformers. As the flash blinds them for a moment and they use lifts and fireworks in the show. I wrote up a complaint and turned it in. We cruise again in September 07 and it will be interesting to see if it is any better.

What amuses me is that a camera flash only really works about 15 feet.. so what ALL those annoying people are taking pictures of are the back of the heads of the people in front of them with the stage washed out.

People noisy in the hallways at ANY TIME OF DAY bother's me. I tell my kids you never know if there is a baby napping somewhere....

5.50AM last morning of cruise in 2006, going to the Non-USA Immigration check at 6.00am, most people not around.

Deck 8, only one family of four in front of us, no one else.

They take the stairs, we call a elevator, it comes as the family in front are halfway down the first deck of stairs.

A boy in the family runs ahead calling the elevator at every deck, so our elevator stops at every floor to us seeing the boy running off and the family behind.

Four floors!

They were just in front of us in the passport line, the boy kept away until the final minute.

Why?

On our May 2004 Magic cruise we had table number 1 in the dining rooms. I thought to myself, "hey, that will be great! Easy to find every night." Much to my horror that is the worst table in every restaurant. The parents that allow their children to play in the restaurants is appalling. They let them leave their tables and play in the foyer area. Well, every night this group of about 10 kids played hide and seek and tag around our table. Even my then 11 and 14 year old children were surprised that their parents were allowing this. Of course, our servers kept having to maneuver around them. Once a server came out of the kitchen area with a tray of food and a kid dashed in front of him and caused him to drop everything. There still was nothing done about the kids. I just fumed every night instead of saying something to these parents. I didn't want to ruin my whole vacation with a conflict. These kids weren't together. They came from various areas of the dining room, not one table. The parents would come and get them when their food arrived. I just find it hard to believe there are that many parents that don't teach their children that other people are dining and to be respectful and stay at their own table. I have always brought things to entertain my children or had good family discussions to while away the time until our food arrived. I guess that is why I have had total strangers come up to my table in the past and comment on how well behaved my children are.

I will be with a large group of family members this year with 9 of them children. You can bet you won't see any of them wandering through the dining rooms during dinner

Thanks for the chance to vent !

One thing that bugged me was seeing little toddlers/babies wearing no swim diapers at all in the Mickey pool! On our 7 day cruise they had to close the Mickey pool twice to empty it out and clean it out. I beleive this happened on both sea days:mad: Here I was being a responsible parent with my 3 year old who was potty trained, but yet I still made her wear swim diapers and when she wanted to swim she couldn't because the pool was being cleaned out. I understand now they have a seperate area for young toddlers/babies, but still.

We had an aggrevated person, probably the Mom, trying to pack the suitcases at the end of the cruise. She was screaming at her family, and banging the drawers every 5 seconds. This was not DCL, but it did keep us up since it was after 12 midnight. Timid me did not call security, this was over 20 years ago, but I will now. That memory has stayed with me.

Jumping in the Goofy pool.

It is written on both sides of the pool "No Jumping" and with good reason there are way too many people in the pool. These kids kept jumping in and landing on other people. When a cast member spoke to them they stopped for a minute but once they walked away - the father said "She is gone now you can start jumping"

As a surprise my husband booked a room with verandah. We were so excited. Then when we opened the door and the smoke from the verandah next door wafted into our room we were less thrilled but thought OK they can't do this for the entire 4 days. HAH! We were wrong! They did smoke for most of the cruise. Disney was of no help. So we had the bill for the verandah and a large window but because of my son's asthma we couldn't even open the door.

VERY DISAPPOINTING

This is why we won't splurge for a verandah. I would LOVE to try one, and if we were ever given a free upgrade (haven't gotten one in 8 cruises!) we would be so happy. BUT if we paid the extra for it ans this happened I would be very upset.

If DCL ever goes nonsmoking altogether maybe we will try it. But as long as there is a chance of this happening, we will stick with the SPRs and save some money.

This didn't bug me, in that it wasn't a personal inconvenience to us, but it was disturbing. We sat down to dinner on our second night on the Wonder and noticed that a younger child (5 years old, maybe) was missing from another family's party. In friendly conversation, we learned that the child was not feeling well so she was back in the stateroom. My wife asked what babysitting was costing for the evening, and the mother acknowledged that the child was by herself. :scared1:

My wife bit her tongue, but responded with what I have come to describe as "the look". Wouldn't you know it, within 5 minutes the mother had politely excused herself and that's the last we saw of her at dinner --- in fact, it's the last we saw of that family for the rest of the cruise. Don't know if they requested a table change or just didn't want to have their eyebrows singed again by my wife's piercing glare.

My main complaint is the same as the OP. Why oh why do parents allow the kids to run in the hallways late at night or early in the morning. I hate waking up to the thump, thump, thump. But then of course they are with their parents who are talking loudly.

That's why we chose Deck 1. No problem mon......;) Sorry it didn't work out for you...

Allowing a kid to come to the Oceaneer Club that continues to bite kids daily and listening to the mom tell him that if he bites he can't have ice cream. Also my dgs having a black eye(given to him by a CM accidentally) but not telling us about it.

Sue, the CM's won't allow kids w/ swim diapers on in the pool. My DS is potty trained but I have him wear a swim diaper in the ocean, on a port day I put a swim diaper on him...as soon as we got off the ship it started raining so we got back on went up to topsiders then I let him swim in the pool while we waited to see what the rain did. We got chastised by a CM even when I explained that he is pt'd and he only had it on for the ocean. We were told regardless of being pt'd he had to take it off to be in the pool.

We had a family on our last trip that consisted of 3 kids(age 9-16) and a single father. It appeared that they were on the trip to celebrate the the oldest daughters Sweet 16, as a cake was brought to dinner one night. I have never witnessed such horrible table manners in my life! Dad sat at the table, while the kids literally dug their hands into the cake and threw it each other!!! All the while,Dad just sat there. Other nights, the boy played in his water, the others sat and sulked. Dad was always dressed very nice for dinner, while the kids looked like they just didn't care. We saw them on CC day, dad wanted some photos of them at some of the "Picture Spots" and do you think they'ed oblige him, forget it! All I can say is it would be a cold in in H*** before I Ever took them any place again if they were mine. I felt so sorry for dad.:furious:

My husband did this, but not in thong underwear! Some kids were running up and down the halls late at night knocking on all the doors as they went by. It finally got my husband angry enough to go out into the hallway in his boxer shorts and told the kids to knock it off. We didn't hear them anymore after that!

Good for your husband!!!

Well...the chair and table hogs are in full force as I am on board right now. We haven't been to the pool once yet.
