Oh yes. 5" since early this morning. Pool flooded. All the streets are flooded, highways closed. Governor declared state of emergency
Took DDIL an hour to get to day care to find it closed because of internal water damage, so she brought DGD here. She just went back to work.
DD made it but called and I had to map her around all the closed roads.
More than a monsoon.....wide spread. Having lived in WA for so long, we are used to it, but AZ dirt doesn't drain it just puddles.

Yikes! Hope it stops ranging soon. Hard to imagine some business's would require people to drive in the flooding. You are right , hard to drain where you are. Stay safe.

I didn't plan to leave today.....was hoping to get somethings off my to do list before vacation comes, but not sure how long DGD's day care will be closed. Hopefully not long.

it is almost stopped, but more due later. The pool is not as full anymore.
DH left and said the surface roads were mostly good now. The highways are still bad
