Anyone else watching? Who do you think is going to win this competition?

I'm a fan of Robert Irvine and Anne Burrell so its going to be hard for me to watch and choose who to support.

I couldn't wait for it to start! I am not sure who I want to win yet. It is a really tough call. I do love Robert Irvine, but I am not sure I see him winning. It would be nice to see another female Iron Chef.

I am sad who went home, but he was up against the person who is mostly likely one of the favorites to win.

Elizabeth Falkner can't go home soon enough. I don't know why, but I can't stand her. I think she is the only person I don't like this season.

I can absolutely see a final showdown between Burrell and Irvine - but with this cast of Chefs, I can see almost any two in the finale!

Thank heavens for the DVR - well, and that Food Network re-airs their nighttime lineup three hours later. With stupid football running over its allotted time so regularly (really, why does it have to take over three hours to play a sixty minute game?), I would never be able to watch this and Amazing Race!

I'm enjoying watching the "squirming" of some contestents who are also judges on othere shows (liked Chopped). Competition is not very easy!

There are a few on there that I don't know, but I do like the ones who judge Chopped.

I couldn't believe that one team used lake water for their soup. Ick.

Me too but when I saw the other chefs, I told DH-'XXX is going home first" and that's who got the axe. They had the least experience and credentials of all of them. When that chef was paired, I knew if it came down to them...that chef would lose. Their competitor seems soooo good after having watched that career.

I'm rooting for Chuck Hughes because I think he's hot. Not a big fan of the better known winner of last nights pairing. I think he's a snot but he clearly knows how to cook.

It's hard to pick a favorite but have been a fan of Anne and Robert for a long time. This season is hard because of the talent and experience the chefs have that are participating.

I Agree about loving the squirming going on by those who judge others on other shows, but I wouldn't mind seeing Alex G go home or at least get some stiff critiques by the judges on this show. When she judges Chopped she acts sometimes like she is looking down on everything and everyone. Although between her and Amanda Freitag they sometimes both look like they suck a lemon before judging the show. So in this show I wouldn't mind seeing Alex Squirm maybe it will help her ease up on Chopped with acting so superior.

I agree the one that went home had the least experience and I knew when he picked the person he was paired up with that if they lost that he'd be going home. The other chef has the most credentials of anyone there 3x James Beard award winner vs someone with less experience it was a no brainer on who was going to be leaving.

Once I saw who the final 2 were, I knew who was going home. So far, I have no idea who's going to win.

I really like Chef Irvine but I have a feeling it will be Chef Samuelsson who wins.

DH and I are watching. We don't have any favorites, but it's fun to see some of the judges from "Chopped" and the chefs from the other Food Network shows running around and worrying about being "chopped".

I was so surprised at how easily flustered Alex Guarnaschelli became - I wonder if she'll have a new appreciation for the pressure the chefs are under while judging Chopped?!

I fell asleep and missed the end. Went to foodnetwork and found out who went home, and I have to say that I am happy about that. I don't even know what he was doing in the company of so many great chefs. Rooting for Anne as she is cool under pressure and gets the job done. It will be interesting to see who is the winner in the end.

If anybody misses an episode, it's repeated three hours later... and last night, immediately after that as well.

The same episode will also air at 7 PM Eastern time the following Sunday - as well as probably several times during the week!

This looks like it's going to be a fun season! My loyalties lie with Robert and Anne.

I enjoy watching Alex squirm.

I am rooting for Anne and Robert as well. I would to see it come down to the two of them.

Geoffery Zakarin can leave soon. I am not a fan of his at all.

When they first announced the lineup, I knew who would be first to go home. He had no business being there in the first place. Shall we recall that not only did he lose Top Chef twice (the second time to one of Cat Cora's sous chefs - and gee, I wonder where he got the idea of liquid nitrogen? Yes, it has been used on Iron Chef), but Morimoto also wiped the floor with him on Iron Chef.

Some of these challenges do look tailor-made for Robert. But he only had to compete against the clock on Dinner: Impossible - now he has to compete against other chefs, too.

Nevertheless, I'm pulling for him! I went to his lunch at F&W, and he was so nice, and a riot to listen to!

Anyone else think that at this point in their careers they shouldn't be having so many "technique errors" I can understand maybe flavors not working the way they thought but by now in ones career basic cooking techniques should be at the point that they can do it in their sleep. Maybe I'm too harsh.
