Savannah had first drama audition of the year....List was posted yesterday and SHE MADE IT!!!! It was an audition for a drama group called "Storytellers" They travel around the county doing plays for the elementary schools. I think that yesterday when I picked her up she just bounced from the sidewalk into the car she was so happy.....

Sounded just like a moment from the old "FAME" series....

And she was the one chosen on Tuesday from the newspaper staff to interview a local newscaster who was coming to the school to tape a piece on 9/11.....Monday she jumped in the car and announced, "I am meeting my idol, tomorrow" I knew immediately who she was referring to...When Savannah was little she was convinced that this woman was my mother....

So I asked Savannah if she told her how much she admired her journalism and that she was her idol and if she told her that she always thought that she looked like her grandmother.....Savannah just looked at me...and said "THAT IS NOT WHAT REPORTERS DO" rolleyes:

George said, "What a week Savannah has had...She is a golden child"

I just hope after this week, she will be able to fit her big head in the car......hehehehehe

Thanks guys for your posts on my "other" thread it really helps me to vent here and not have DD and I feeding off each others frustrations. She's really handling it well. Debbie-- I laughed out loud when you mentioned Billy and the paper plate. hehehe...then got that ouch-kick-in-the-tummy feeling when you told what happened with him . SIGH DH says...well.....there will be be more stress about more important things in life....let it play out....she's doing fine.......

Hi!!! Debbie....I was wondering where you were...

George and Savannah are using the KMS products that we bought at Trend Secret today...They are called turnstyle colors and we bought Gold(blonde) and a color called red rage ...

We convinced George into letting us trying in his hair.....

Savannah already has highlights so her hair just got more blonde with the gold color.....

ok, and then we were researching a 3-night cruise to the bahamas for savannah's b-day in october instead of another trip to the world...I just this week told someone that I wasn't interested in the the Disney Cruise Line and now here I am researching away.....Savannah liked the idea though...so we are tossing the idea around....

LOL Debbie...DD is Meghan...I tend to not use her "real" name on the internet by habit. She's still trying not to think about it today. She was thinking of calling the JV coach (DD played for her last yr and half of freshman year after getting moved up she's a sweetie "soccer should be fun and about more than winning") because of what the V coach said about needing to discuss it with her .....DD wanted to tell JV coach "JUST TELL HER TO DECIDE I DON"T CARE I JUST WANT THIS OVER AND ON WITH THE SEASON" DD also thoguth of another PLUS to being JV instead of Varsity...she could start a drivers ed class that begins right after regulation season ends. The class starts on the day the prelim playoffs for Varsity are played (if the V team made it) ---the JV team just plays a tournament day on the weekend...no playoffs. And you have to be at the 1st calss of your driver ed session...it can't be one of the skips. If she doesn't take that one she waits til December !

More PD for Meghan.....I know this must be so agonizing!!!!Hopefully, Monday will bring the answer that she wants.....

George's hair is highlighted in "rage Red" or it looks kind of fushcia.....

But the bottle says that it washes out with a shampoo....

We just walked 2 miles and I kept looking at that hair!!!!

A long week here...Amanda is back. So, the week has been spent hiding and protecting...checks, wallets, credit/debit cards, electronics.....


I thought she was doing better, but, yesterday, we took the kids to their other granny's house (And, yes, they do call her "granny", while I am Susie). We had left planning to go to the fair,but, didn't, and came back early. She seemed to be high to me. Of course, she denied it, but, I am sure....

Other happenings....not involving Amanda, but, thought provoking
for me....moral musings....life changing decisions....and old promises made.

And to think, I couldn't wait to grow up. Now, I just want to be a kid, again...

Been thinking about you all week Sue and hoping things were OK Sounds very stressful for you. I know what youmean about wanting to be a kid again.

I will send some pics of my grandbabies (no cami LOL)that I hope will bring a smile....alas that will be tomorrow as DD is booting me from the computer once again and I'm too tired to argue.
