Well, I guess I will have to venture (EEK!) to the DisCon board and ask my DATW question there....Bob will never come back and answer me I'm sure! ............don't really know why I'm bothering, checked the SW site and thoe $78 one way fares plentiful for mid-week travel, but the return flight on a weekend doesn't look good at that rate.....

NO DATW for me. This will be our first Dec in a few years with no MVMCP No WDW. No nuttin'.
I think the MIA Cookie will be there, though.

Great pic, Teri! I never knew George was The Man in another life. Mike was LPD till he retired. Michelle's dad was also LPD.
Be thankful George changed careers before you met.

Speaking of jiggles---people, I jiggle in places where those skinny litte girls don't even have places! And they have the nerve to call themselves Dolphin Cheerleaders. Can't even jiggle right!

Milo will love Austin!! (How can he not--those precious babies are there. Don't forget, we saw that Grandpa's girl and all of those hugs and kisses!!

Sorry for the disappearing act, gang...but you know...when Barry calls....LOL

It was quite the weekend - started out awful with that storm and us trapped in a flooding venue while lightning went on continuously outside, and ended very well with some wonderful shows that were being taped for a live CD released later in the year, and a professional photog that was rushing all over snapping shots, and may end up with yours truly in the audience shots taken from backstage view. I'll let you know...I may have to go Hollywood, tho' I'm very happy with the pictures I was able to get, since the rescheduled Friday show took place during the day on Sunday - didn't have to worry about wacky lighting - woohoo!

My next trip to WDW is still a work in progress. I have to work on getting my credit card bills down before heading out there again. Hoping to go in November, but still not sure. I may have to wait until 2003, but since I actually renewed Brendan's AP...well...hmmmm

Now I must report the sad news that I will NOT be at WDW for Thanksgiving.... George rec'd his On-call schedule for the rest of the year and Thanksgiving and the weekend he is the one... We will make it down sometime during the holidays to see the decorations but not sure when at this time..

Only trip planned for now is October for Savannah's birthday...

I am an original Dolphin cheerleader too ...

Don't feel bad, Debbie. No WDW plans for me, either, for a long time...

You see, our pal, Bob, has made me decide that I want to take a Disney Cruise (got the planning video,already).

The first thing I learned is that Disney Cruises are not inexpensive.

The second thing I learned is that the cabins I like are really
not inexpensive.

So, I am saving my few extra pennies and nickles for the 7 day Western Carribean Cruise.

The dilemma---I want at least a Catagory 4 Cabin (the Family Stateroom) because it's a little larger and with the four of us--well, I think the extra space would be useful.

But, what I really want is a Cat 2 or 3 (1 or 2 bedroom) suite. I haven't even gotten a quote on that one yet (too chicken;suffice it to say $$$$$$$$$).

Neesless to say, we are looking at 2004 for one of the suites (those pennies don't add up very fast).

Mike however, wants to go with a less expensive (Cat 6) cabin and go in Oct, 2003 for the Halloween Cruise.

I guess I am being silly. The Cat 4 is only 30 sq feet larger. Other than that, the 4 and the 6 are identical. The 4 is two decks above the 6, though. They both have a verandah. They are the same. So, maybe I am being silly--I don't know.

Sorry--I digress. The point is, either way, I won't see WDW for awhile.

Ann - The date for DATW is SSB's call. But it might just end up being December 6th unless there is a scheduling conflict.

And now for a little cruise advice:

As far as cruising, the extra 30 square feet in a Cat4 cabin is not that big a deal. Unless you have a desire to be way up high on deck 8, I would go for a Cat5 or Cat6. The only reason that we needed a Cat4 on our cruise in 2000 was that we had to shoehorn 5 people into a single cabin. We learned our lesson and, on our 2nd cruise, we got two Cat10 cabins. No verandah. No ocean view. But we had twice the room that we had in the Cat4 and, more importantly, two sets of bathrooms.

You will not miss the extra 30 square feet if you opt for the Cat5/6 cabin.

I'm not getting involved in the cruise discussion . I love the whole concept ---- except for the part about actually living on a ship hehehe. With my inner ear issues, I'm totally afraid that I would be sick, or have to take so much medicine that I'd be out of it. Either way a bummer of a vacation. Once I got nauseous eating at DeMillo's in Portland ME...a restaurant on a "permanently" docked ship in a very calm harbor.

Mike has some inner ear issues, too. Went on a gambling boat and...uh...well, did not feel well at all. Went on a cruise ship....nothing. The stabalizers are truly fantastic. You really don't feel the movement.

And a little Dramamine would be all that was necessary. You'd be fine, I'm sure.

now why is that whenever someone posts about not feeling the movement on a cruise ship and then i go on one, i feel everything??? maybe i was just unlucky both times...

i think that my FH and i will be planning our very first disney cruise for sometime next year!! yay!! i have been waiting patiently to find someone to do DCL with and no one wanted to! can you believe that? but i now have my permanent travel buddy...

and then we want to do WDW sometime early december 2003! that's the other thing i've always wanted to do...go to WDW when it's all decked out for christmas...


all these plans and we haven't even gotten married and spent our honeymoon at WDW yet..thank goodness it's next month!!

Sue I have looked into the Disney cruise myself and all my thoughts were/are the same as yours...all the way to what I want and what I should just be happy with.
I ended up pricing the 4 and then the 6 cuz the 4 was too much. I have also had it suggested to me to do what TC did with the 2 cat10's....to get privacy from the kids but oh how do live without the veranndah

It is a possibility in my future but it would put WDW out for awhile for me too

I guess its safe for me to say that right now...I have no idea what my future vacation plans are but it will be sumpin good

Ann - I was afraid of being ill on the ship....but to my delight...not much sickness at all....

Cruise talk.... next year would be out of the question for us as we are going for a week on Holland America's new ship which is coming out this fall...msZuiderdam It will be for our 1 year anniversary and we also have friends who want us to cruise with them on Carnival Pride next November....

If you are all looking at 2004...then that might be an option...We had a mini suite with balcony on the honeymoon...I liked being able to go outside if I needed some air...

all this talk about no trips planned....

Ok, now back to transcription machine and then to help with dinner...
