The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

Maybe a promise of someone to bring some meals.. I would have LOVED that!
Great idea!
My aunt made her *wonderful* homemade lasagna for us. She dropped it off right before I got home from the hospital.
It was fantastic! We ate leftovers all week.
Yum!

We keep asking her to skip turkey on Thanksgiving and make lasagna but she won't do it. :headache:

Nope.

I hate it. Oh, well.

We've been talking about moving to Las Vegas when our VA requirement is up on this house.. so I decided now is a good time to look at houses in Las Vegas. :rotfl:
Who knows if we'll even make it that far. (hey, double meaning! lol)

Hey girls!

Adi-Isabel is absolutely beautiful! Some days (especially when I see the pics of the newborns) I want another one, but the feeling doesn't last too long! :lmao:

It seems like forever since I have been on here! I have been pounding the budget board as of late, in prep for BF.

Zander still gets up at least once a night. Even though he is getting solids all day now. Overall he is still a great baby-very happy. DH was putting up the tree and we have his excersaucer near where the tree is and he LOVED looking at the lights. Today we start decorating it.

I am soooo missing Disney since this has been the time of year we have gone the last two years. I saw a thread on Slickdeals about signing up to go to any or all of the three days they filming the parade. I didn't know they would let you in for free those days and then after the filming, apparently you can stay in MK for the rest of the day-still free! :thumbsup2 If Madeline wasn't still in school the Thursday and Friday of filming, I would soooo go.

I have the morning free to myself:worship: I nees to get my lazy butt in the shower. I have a ton of things today but I am here on the boards. I have a Sam's run to do, Target, PetsMart and the grocery store. I better get a move on. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone. (only 5 more days until Disney:yay:)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'd love to send her some food, but I'm in OH and she's in NC. I didn't cook for the whole first month of being on maternity leave thanks to work and church friends bringing food every three days it seemed like. (It was awesome!!) So unless I find one of those places that cook and deliver frozen foods, it won't work well. I think I'll go with the stroller idea.

Sarah - thanks for the link for the cheaper option!

DH has all the outside decorations up. I still don't have the tree up. I think I'll make DH bring it up while I do some Christmas shopping today.

I go back to work tomorrow. I've already cried twice today and it's only noon.
And just because I can :teeth: my two favorite boys...

oh no! Is he wearing Michigan?? lol

Most of my fellow WVU classmates would boo your husband! :rotfl:

Hey ladies! I don't know if anyone saw this, but they have "ESPN" Magazine on sale for $5/year at Amazon. With a $5 off promotion, this is free. Great gift for the hubby!

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00007AX0N/?tag=slickdeals

If you get an error message, keep trying. Took me about 3 times to get it to go through.

Christmas is REALLY scaled back for us this year...but hubby loves lots of presents, so this helps out!:goodvibes

Thanks for sharing that! That would be a great gift for my dad. Where is the 5 dollar off promo? Am I missing something? I am just seeing the $5 for the year part.

Totally cute picture!

I don't see a $5 off either. Can I order more than 1 at that price? I'm thinking this would be great for my bil's!

Yep, he's wearing Michigan...he grew up outside of Detroit so it's kind of hard to change that habit when he was taken to games with Dad as a kid... :confused3

Since everyone is cutting dollars with the holidays coming up, I LOVE this website...
www.couponingtodisney.com
I find more deals here than I do on other savings websites.

It was listed underneath. It automatically shows up in your shopping cart!:thumbsup2

It didn't for me:confused3. I did see money off for other magazines, but not this one. $5 is still a great deal, so I ordered 2-one for dh and one for his step-father. He has Asperger's Syndrome, and is OBSESSED with sports! He's actually written 2 books on baseball, and is researching for a 3rd.

I opened a new Amazon account under a 2nd email address, and signed up for a month of free prime membership. That gives me a month of free 2 day shipping! After I signed up, I was able to go into my account and turn off the automatic upgrade (at $79!) for the year's membership, so I won't be charged anything. They are having a week of Black Friday deals (supposedly they are offering what others will have on sale on Friday) starting tomorrow. I plan to check it out every day.

I'm sorry it didn't work for you! At least $5 is still a good price. :thumbsup2 I have no idea what else to get my husband this year. Usually I have too many ideas and go way overboard, but this year, I'm at a loss.:confused3

I've started "flying" with the Flylady...so maybe I'm just wanting to keep out the clutter.:rotfl:

I didn't mean anything by it, sorry if it came across as offensive. I, personally, could give a crap less. I don't do sports.
There is just still a lot of bitterness over what Rodriguez did to WVU here. (leaving them for Michigan and lying to the university about it, etc.) That is all I meant. :thumbsup2
I don't see a lot of Michigan stuff anymore because of it, so it stands out when I do. :rotfl:

I really love the idea she gave for the to/from labels on that website!!

As for Christmas stuff... DH gets a subscription to XBox magazine. I swear he's like a kid, not an almost 28 year old. ;)
I think he'll also be getting a Keurig coffee maker. I don't drink coffee and he doesn't drink a lot. He also loves gadgets and toys and things so that is probably what I'll give him.
My parents always ask for ideas so I'll let them buy a box of pods for it. :)
Anyone here have a Keurig?

I don't have one, but it was always my job to run the coffee table at our annual fancy fundraiser at work and we always used a Keurig for it. We don't drink coffee, so it would be wasted $$ for us to buy one; but if we did drink it I would definitely want one.

They were demonstrating one at Sears the other day. DH had a flavored coffee and said it was really good. While the price on the machine itself isn't bad, they get you on the pods. :scared1: I think the cheapest place to get them is on the internet.

We both loved it, but with me only drinking water for the last 9 months, it's harder to justify right now. The minute I go back to coffee and tea, though, it's on!!!:lmao:They are just too cool!

Well, homework is done for the night. Off to play Super Mario Bros. with DH! Have a great night ladies!:goodvibes

Ahh!! We want Super Mario Bros so bad but we know we'll get sucked in and can't afford to do that with school right now. So we've held off.. How is it???
We've been playing Scrabble together on Facebook, haha.

Sears is going to have boxes of the pods for $9.99 on Black Friday. I was going to try to buy a few. Otherwise I think you're right... Amazon is probably the cheapest. It's much cheaper to buy the machine from them than Sears, even with Sears black Friday sale!!

...eta...
I just saw this and thought it was really funny!!
cute-puppy-pictures-wate-watcher.jpg

No worries Patsy! I knew you were joking. :teeth: I'm the same way with sports - I flop between the White Sox (DH) and the Indians (though I really favor the Indians) and for football i could care less...

I'm back to work today. I cried three times yesterday and I'm holding strong right now. Wish me luck! (And it figures I have the most happy baby in the world right now too!)
