The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

Ugh. I am getting beyond frustrated here. I have typed the response 4 times but our power keeps going out.

Lucas has pushed me over the cliff several times today.. I tried to change his diaper after his morning bottle and he wiggled everywhere. Screamed the entire time (cry scream) which I don't understand because who wants to lay in poop? He FINALLY stopped screaming if I let him be on his belly... which makes no sense either because he's normally screaming when he is on his belly!
So I get him cleaned up, he starts screaming again. So I tried, and failed, at putting on a new diaper.. and decided to wrap him up in a blankie and just hold him/rock him. No go.

So I took him upstairs to change him and just let him chill in his crib.. because I'm almost to the point that I'm just going to go lock myself in the bathroom and cry if I don't get away from him. And he still won't let me put a diaper on him. He wiggled and kicked me. Flipped to his belly again. I FINALLY got the diaper on and got one side fastened when he reached down and unfastened it!
I definitely started crying. I'm so done at the moment. I have a million things to do for school and he's finally calmed down BUT our power keeps flickering on/off and restarting the computer. I'm afraid to get into a project and lose my work and thus even more frustrated.

And I'm hungry.
Geesh! :rotfl:

Lilliana is getting like that too with changing her diaper. I put her on the changing table and she starts wiggling and trying to rollover. She's rolls every where now.

I was thinking I might try and attach a toy for her to play with. She is always grabing for diapers that's over her head. Maybe that will calm her down. :)

I think I'm just frustrated about everything.

Finals are next week... and I missed a written lab test yesterday to go to the doctor. I tried to call my professor (3 times! before the test!) to let him know that was the only appointment they had and since I wasn't sure what I had, I didn't feel comfortable going in without seeing a doctor. He didn't answer nor return my message. Sent an email and still no answer.
So I'm VERY irritated over that. To the point that I'll probably go to the Dean if he doesn't let me take it because the school issued a policy that if you are sick, don't come. They really don't want you there.

I easily could have made up the test today (now that I have antibiotics, Dr. said I'm good to go) because I am going to get my H1N1 vaccination later. But nope. Crappy professor won't return my calls.

Plus, I called my other professor to let him know I'd miss class last night because the Dr. suggested I get some antibiotics in my system before I went around people. He gave me a ton of crap! So I finally said "Well, I'll come if you want me there." And he goes "Well, I don't want you here if you're sick!"
THEN WHAT WAS THE POINT OF COMPLAINING ABOUT ME MISSING CLASS?!
Top it all off, I know ALL we did last night was review for our final. All of our classwork and assignments were finalized last week. So I didn't even hurt him, I hurt myself by not being there.

So, moral of my ramblings... I'm just irritated on several levels and Piglet's behavior is adding stress.

At daycare they have a mobile above the changing station where the babies' heads rest so they can whack at it, etc. I think it helps. :thumbsup2

Oh Patsy, I'm sorry! I wish I could come over and help out. We all need to move to disneyworld! I'll live with the Country Bears. :teeth:

Alright, I'm a little peeved. I really want to join the Y, but I just did the math and it would cost us $888 a year! Plus they have small fees for most of the classes. That's insane to me! I could go to Disney for that much!

a) Holy crap! $888 for a membership to the Y!? DH pays $16 a month (though it might be a military rate, I'm not sure).. and yeah. They tried to sell me a memebership when I signed Lucas up for the 6m "mommy and me" swim lesson. For members it's $20 and nonmembers $40. Yeah, that makes so much sense. Not?!

b) Holy crap! You can go to Disney on $888??

c) Okay. I'm ready. Let's move! I told DH no way am I taking 15 hours next semester unless he actually does something, ANYTHING to help me with Lucas or around the house.
I'm not taking 15 hours next semester. :rotfl:

My brother mailed Lucas something. It's a little cloth bag and inside were a stuffed kangaroo, a cotton hat and onesie. The onesie says "I'm a Kangaroo!" with a picture of a kangaroo and the hat has Kangaroo ears.
It's adorable!

Our Y is about $1300 per year.. But they dont charge for any of the classes. They are all free for members. They dont offer classes to non members. I think its crazy that all Ys are different! I should add that it is only $1300 per year because we are a family of 6. I love it! Swim lessons, gymnastics, dance... Its great!

Sounds adorable--can't wait to see the pic. I went to WDW last December (ack! It's been a year!!) for about $700...including 5 nights + dining and flight. Of course that's splitting the room cost with my mom.

The $888 is the family pass--it doesn't say how many kids. I guess it's really not that bad. I mean most gym memberships are around $30 per month per person...the Y is $64 per month with a $120 registration fee. I wonder if you pay that once and don't have to pay when you renew...that would be cool. I think it'll be totally worth it when Lily is about 3...that's when all the classes start. The cool thing is that child care is included, so I could actually work out and get time to myself.

I'm thinking I might try gym and swim---it's $75 for a 6 week session and go from there. This is exactly the type of thing that made us decide that I need to keep working. The swim lessons and gymnastics and stuff makes the price totally awesome, but Lily can't do any of that til she's 3.

Okay.. I have a couple of pictures..

Okay.. this one is funny because when I went to take the picture, there were TWO babies in it. I guess Jasmine saw me coming with the camera and knocked Vinny down!LOL!

I just noticed that all my pictures were of Jasmine. I should really get one of Vinny.. He really is just as cute!

Nope, I still don't see anything.

Strange.
Maybe someone else will chime in and I'll know it it's me or not. Too weird!

I'm off for the night- Top Chef and sleep. The morning brings class with the cranky professor who didn't return my calls/email. Great way to start the day.

I can see them all! Cute kids! I agree..more pictures of Vinny!:goodvibes

Thanks for the info on the van!

I can see them, too.

So far, this has been the week from :scared1:...

Patsy, my classes are online. To take a test, I have to use a remote proctor. It is this little machine that sits next to my computer and takes my fingerprint and picture, then generates a password to the test. This system started first of this year. If they had started it last year, I may not have made it this far. It is nothing but a headache, and never works right. I never could install it on my desktop, so I had to install it on dd10's laptop.

My final was made available last week, and it had a 3hr time limit from the time it is opened. So Fri night, I got dd10's laptop and set it up on my desk, and set an alarm for 5 so I could try to get some work done before Katie was up and ready to play. The 1st 20 were mult choice, and no problem. I took a break in the middle to feed her and got her back to sleep, so it took about an hour. Everything was fine, until #21 pops up. It is open ended, but no text box came up to type the answer. The computer locked up completely. I spent the next 2 hours rebooting and trying to get back into the test to finish the last 14 questions (34 total). I finally emailed the professor, hysterical, and asked if I could please have a chance to finish the test. I was so frustrated that I broke down and ordered a new laptop Sat. afternoon. My thought was that a newer computer would work better with the software from the school.

I didn't hear anything all weekend, but I wasn't surprised (I don't like working on the wkends either). I had my final paper due Sun night. I ended up getting no help, and typed half of it with Katie in my lap. I submitted it right before the deadline at midnight Sun night, got in the bed around 12:30, and got back up at 5.

Mon afternoon I still hadn't heard from my professor, and I was freaking out because grades have to be on tomorrow (Thursday). I emailed again, and Tue morning finally got a response. She reset the test and disabled the timer and told me to finish. I emailed back that I would as soon as I got home. I got home right as the tornado warnings started up, and the dsl kept going out. So I finally got to start the test at 9pm. At 1am this morning, I had answered 7 questions! After every question, the computer locked up, and I had to shutdown, reboot, log in to the school site, log into the remote proctor (which usually requires about 12 tries to read your fingerprint right), answer the next qeustion, and then do it all over again! I had a major meltdown, and gave up when Katie woke up at 1. Then I realized that I had not made out my tests that I needed to run off today, so I stayed up another half hour and got them ready to print.

My professor was very nice and told me to try again today. I got home, and my new laptop was here, earlier than promised. So I get it out and get everything ready, try to connect the remote proctor, and get a message that it only works on 32 bit systems! Are you freaking kidding me! So I had to get dd10's laptop back out, and do the same steps for every question again-rebooting after all 7!!!!!

But I'm finished, and I don't have another class until Jan. And only 2 more to go, and I have my masters! I'm too old for all of this!!!!!

***On a brighter note, I'm in love with my new laptop. I'm laying in bed with Katie nursing and actually getting to use 2 hands to type for a change:)
