Definitely worth it!!

He's beautiful Patsy! and huge!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad they finally gave you a c-section! Now, the next part of your life begins! I am so happy for you and your husband!:goodvibes

I already can't imagine our little family without him... he's got both mommy and daddy wrapped around his little fingers.

Patsy!! He is SOOOO cute! Congratulations on a big healthy baby!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::hug:

Thanks... :lovestruc I love how sturdy he is.

Patsy - Lucus is soooo cute. Congrats!!! I hope you have a quick and easy recovery. :goodvibes

Thanks! So far they said I am doing great! Last night was tough, but I think it was just because I was EXHAUSTED by the time they wheeled me in there. Crying and shaking and thought I was going to fall asleep... I was a mess. Much better today!! :thumbsup2

Welcome Lucas!! Congratulations, he's adorable! :thumbsup2

Thank you! How big was C.J. again? I was thinking he was 9 something-- and much earlier than Lucas, too!!

UGH!! It is super NASTY hot here.. Like 90 degrees. It NEVER gets that hot here, and NO, we DONT have AC.. It very uncommon up here. and I have a fat, sweaty, nasty baby on my chest. YUCK.

I was burning up (stinkin' hormones!) all day and people kept coming in my room in COATS and shivering. It's killing me I can't go step outside for a minute to utilize the chilly climate... it's usually pool season by now and it's cold!

This is the picture that for some reason didn't carry over from the other post...

He's so LONG! I can't imagine how smushed he was up inside me.... he loves to stretch out now, probably hasn't been able to stretch in months!!

Yeah...he is long!! So precious...most babies still like to swaddle, but he's probably sick of swaddling at 22 inches! LOL

He's swaddled up right now and tolerating it... but I think it's because I had them turn the air on FULL FORCE in my room... I kept waking up sweating earlier when I was trying to sleep... so I'm getting it nice and cold in here tonight! :rotfl:

I'm excited- tomorrow night is our "Stork Dinner"... the hospital gave us menus earlier today to order and tomorrow night at 5:30 they take Lucas back to the nursery and we're served our meals by candlelight in my room. We both got Filet Mignon so I'm interested in the quality of hospital Filet Mignon.

Patsy, I'm stalking you. I love your pictures. Lucas is beautiful! I'm sorry you had to go through so much delivering him, but in the end, you'll know, it was totally worth it (I hope). Many hugs to the three of you.

Updating that our little girl was born late Monday night after a crazy fast labor! I'll post more later. :)

Hey, guys!!

I finally feel like I'm coming up for air!

My DD was born March 12 and I have another DD3.

I'll go back and check out first post to see what else to add.

Thanks... :lovestruc I love how sturdy he is.
:lmao::lmao:Awesome! Gotta love a sturdy baby!! :rotfl2:
Hi everyone,
Just moving over to the thread to say hi and we have our new little boy! Cameron was born 06/02 at 135pm. 7lb 15oz 20 1/2 inches long. His big brother is having fun poking at him already, but he's doing really good so far otherwise. DS is sleeping in the swing next to me. I can't believe he's here already. ;)

Congratulations! I want to hear all about it!

Ugh... I remember that when I had the twins... They had the heat cranked in the room because the babies were early, and had trouble maintaining body temp. It was HORRID. I HATE hot. HATE IT. Anything over 70 and I am DONE.

Hmm... I might not get to take Lucas home with me tomorrow. :(

He's got lots of gas... pediatrician said his tummy was a little distended, too.
He had blood in his stool, which they sent to the lab because they suspect that it might be my blood and he swallowed it during the c-section... I guess they're testing it since we're different blood types... but if it comes back his blood type... I'm not sure?...
They did an abdominal x-ray but it was fine and didn't show an obstruction or anything.

His pediatrician said he'll come by and see us in the morning and "probably" send us home. I hope so. :(

(Oh, he's also not eating as much as they'd like so I asked them to switch his formula type-- to me that seemed like a no brainer!--- so we'll see.)

*eta*

He drank 38ml of Similac Soy formula @ about 6pm and kept it down and went straight to sleep... that is more than he has drank since delivery TOTAL... so I think he gets to go home!! They're not telling me anything for sure, since it's up to the Pediatrician [luckily, the fellow we chose for Lucas is the on-call and I really like him so far] so everyone keep their fingers crossed but I think the whole family gets to go home tomorrow. yay!! :lovestruc

*eta* x 2

He drank another 37mL of the Similac Soy stuff at about midnight last night and then a whole bottle (50mL) when he woke up this morning!! He's not spitty like he was so I think momma's intuition when I asked them to switch his formula WORKED and crossing my fingers the pediatrician agrees and lets me take my boy home later today... if they keep them, the nurses said I can keep my room even after I'm discharged and stay with him. Thank goodness.

I'm subbed & lurking too. :goodvibes Since I have no idea when the twins will finally arrive, I figure it's best to get settled here before I lose the link.

27 weeks today, I have officially carried these 2 further than I did my son. Hopefully things stay calm for a good long while yet......

Oh & Patsy, blood in the stool can be caused by cows' milk protien intolerance -- so good call on getting the formula switched.

If Lucas doesn't tolerate the soy formula (a lot of babies that have issue w/ cows milk protein also have or develop issue w/ soy protein) there are other (more expensive) formulas that have the proteins broken down more. Hopefully you don't need to hunt too long to find a formula that agrees w/ him, but if you do your ped should be able to help direct you.
