The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

Today was my first day back to work. It's harder getting back into the goove. Plus it didn't help that I didn't get much sleep, and the worst part it wasn't from Lilliana. She has been sleeping though the night for the most part.

I can't imagine how hard it must be to get in the groove of things again!!

My leave was 12 weeks, so even though I quit awhile back I'm still employed until Wednesday.... I was telling DH the other day that I can't even imagine how hard it would be if I were actually going back to work.

I've officially checked in with all my online courses, so I'm going back to my housework.

Hope you get more sleep tonight... :) (I have chronic insomnia so I know how annoying it is to not sleep!!)

My husband is home with Lilliana and my son Jamon, I think that's the hardest part. I feel like I should be the one to stay home but money wise I make more so it's better for him to stay home for now.

It was a lot harder going back after my first then it is now. I was doing good then Jamon called and said that he loves me and to have a good day then the tears stated.

Awwww... that is so sweet, but I can see how it would be so hard!

I can understand about the money thing. DH's position when I got pregnant was temporary, to end in September. I was freaking out but figured we'd be okay because I would still have my job and we had savings.... but I remember thinking how weird it would be that he might be the one staying at home.

Okay, I'm officially getting off and trying to get all the dirty laundry done.

I'll be at the college from 9-3 tomorrow (first time I've EVER had an entire day at the college) so I'm trying to get as much done as possible to keep my SIL from reporting bad things to my MIL...

Ds12 has a stomach bug, but Katie has infection in both ears. She is on antibiotics and ear drops. She is finally asleep (after nursing ok for the 1st time since yesterday morning) and so is ds12. I'm trying to get in touch with someone who can pick dd9 up at school so I don't have to wake them up to go. It is about 10 miles there, so a 20 mile round trip.

I cried the 1st day back at work, but I've been fine until today. When they are sick, I start wishing I could just stay here without being torn about work!

Good luck with school Piecey. I'm already behind!:rolleyes1

****Oh, Katie weighs 14 1/2 lbs, so she has more than doubled her birth wt (7lbs) in 3 mos!

Its official. Jazzy is a roller. She rolled all the way across the living room.. I heard a bag crinkling and I looked over and she had her head in the McDonalds bag. :lmao::lmao: Trying to steal her daddies burger! Now have one mobile baby.. Kaylee rolled every where until she started crawling at 11 months. She would stick her arms and legs straight out and roll really fast.

Allison is rolling too. She has rolled on and off for months, but now, she can roll half way across the room. She gets so proud of herself it is too cute.

So today was Allison's first day at daycare (my mom had been watching her while i work 3 days a week). Anyways, she took 3 naps and put herself to sleep all 3 times!! I have to rock her to get her to sleep for me and then sometimes she still cries! I am so relieved and thankful, but she is just a totally different girl while she is there!

I called to tell my SIL-ish that my class gets out 40 minutes earlier than I anticipated... and she proceeds to tell me Rink ran away.. :scared1:

Now, Rink has ran away many times-- anytime he gets lose, in fact-- and it's a PITA to catch him. He bolts from who is chasing him so it's your best bet that there is someone outside, because he'll go straight to them. There wasn't.

So for the first time in my fluffy Shih-Tzu's history... he was enticed back to our house with a container of treats!
That has NEVER happened before. I'd be a bit peeved it worked for her, if I weren't so glad she got him back....

Oh my goodness!! Do you guys remember me telling you all about my friend that is having twins?? They missed a baby on her first ultrasound! She is having triplets!!:scared1: Can you imagine that?? And what are the odds of conceiving triplets naturally?? I am so excited for them.. and scared. She has never carried a baby to full term. Her other four all came early. I am so hoping she has three healthy little babies.

Triplets! Oh my goodness, I can't even imagine. I hope that your friend has a good team of docs & a hospital w/ a NICU (since most all trips will be early to some degree or another.)

My babies are 8 weeks old. Katie has been home for 3 weeks. Dylan is another story..... He's still in the hospital, and still having unexplained episodes of apnea. So no ETA on when he may get home as we approach their original due date. (9/5) Plus I can't get to the hospital but maybe twice a week. My baby boy won't even know me.

I sort of had it in my head that 6-8 weeks and we'd be done with this. Now we're at 8 weeks & there is no end in sight -- yesterday I sort of fell apart. I've coped really well up til now. But now, with only broken sleep and only 1 of my babies here with me, I'm always tired, not pumping often enough, so my b00bs are usually sore & often leaky -- it just seems like too much.

Oh & my new minivan needs to go in for service & I don't know how / when I can do it. I don't want to take Katie out in it, every warning light on the dash is on & I think the computer's a little wonky, annd my MIL is being a ninny about being left alone w/ Katie. She won't watch her alone. And my mom is away on vacation this week. WAH!

I put this on the budget board but thought I would share here in case any of you are interested. LL Bean has some great deals on kids winter stuff.

I called my mom tonight & she'll come over next week a few afternoons in a row, so I can go & camp out at the hospital & hopefully get a handle on what's up w/ Dylan.

Me too!

Thanks everyone. DH called & we'll drop off my new minivan to get checked out on Saturday -- which means that DH & I will need to share the old minivan for a few days. (And my MIL who has been using the old minivan will have to drive her old ('98) Jeep Cherokee that has no A/C. She dragged her feet so long she totally missed out on cash for clunkers money -- that she would have qualified for, but thats a whole 'nother rant.)
