I'm nervous because I had my ultrasound today and the tech warned me that I should go on the trip in december, since I will be 31 weeks. At my first OB visit, I was told it should be no problem, as long as no complications arise, but the tech told me that what if something happens while I'm in the plane, now I'm scared about that. I have an actual appointment with the OB on tuesday, so I am going to talk to her about my concerns, but the way the tech talked to me, she was like "can you postpone the trip?" We've been planning this trip for over a year, the pregnancy was a surprise, I'm thrilled to be pregnant again, but I don't want to miss this trip to WDW... I've never been during the Christmas season, and I've never stayed at the WL, so to combine those two things...ahhhhhhh I know it will always be there and we can plan for a few years from now, but we are all so excited. ahhhhhh I want to scream, just to get some frustration out.

Thanks for letting me vent!!!

While I know you are concerned this person was a tech not your Doctor. Wait and speak with your OB she will know what you can handle.

Traveling by air is considered safe for women while they are pregnant.

Try not to worry.

Just subscribing...a Poly family staying at the Wilderness Lodge for the first time...:yay:

I'd be more concerned about the "Death Valley" as my DW liked to call it. It's the hill you walk up/down to get from the lobby to and from Roaring Forks. Two years ago we were there in Dec. and my wife was about 20 weeks pregnant. Nothing like walking around the parks all day and then climbing that hill. She hated it. :)

You'll understand when you get there. Maybe we'll see you there if you are there from the 2-8th.

GatorEye & Ransom

I will be at the Lodge from December 8-13, 2007 during both of your stays maybe we can meet up, and say Hi. We have to leave Thusday the 13th as my DN is graduating Saturday from the University of Florida.

Beckie

We're leaving the 8th. :( Both my DW and I are Gator grads. So many great memories. Right now it truely is great to be Florida Gator (as you can tell from my tag)! :thumbsup2

Yes ::yes:: I could tell buy your tag, and your user name, that you just might be a GATOR FAN..

My DN was loved the Gators his entire life, I agree for a Gator Fan he has had the best college experience any student could hope to have. He still has his Masters/Graduate Degree so he'll be in Gainsville or a few more terms but after December he is on his own. :rotfl2:

We will be arriving December 8th early so ya never know maybe we'll get there before you check-out.

DH and I talked tonight..looks like we're headed back April 28-May 5 next year!

Thanks to this thread and our great first visit..looks like we're hooked! :goodvibes

:sad1: DH says Universal for us next year. Maybe I can get him to do Disneyland in CA! Need some pixie dust. I'm holding on to the fact that he missed the haunted mansion a lot this year and wants to see the updates. Maybe, just maybe, he'll change his mind.

Can you call WL directly and make a request for room location? I read on allears that WL will not accept requests directly? Is that true? My first visit is 3 short days away and we have two rooms with Ctyd view. I would like to be on a higher floor facing the Silver Springs pool. The only request I made with CRO was for connecting rooms. Should I call CRO or WL? Which have better success?

I can think of no better place (other then a hospital) to have a baby then Disney World. Mickey if it's a boy, Minnie if it's a girl. :)

I am so psych'd. We got our luggage tags yesterday with our Magical Express passes. Only 38 days left!

Still have tons to do, need new luggage, have to pack, send our box of costumes and goodies to WL. But I am still doing the happy dance. :dance3:

Hey everyone,

We arrive in 5 days 2 hours and 11 mins..... But who's counting

I went against my better judgement and left the room assignment to the room assigner GODS! I didn't make any requests, Just want to see what I get. ( we have a courtyard bunkbed so I'm not playing russian roulette or anything... )Ha Ha.. This is our first time not going Concierge, so we have never been on a low floor!

In all of our stays we have never been assigned Southwing so that would be a big difference for us!

I guess I am writing as to lock in my decision, and then I can't complain about it, if for some reason we get a horrid room. ( is this even possible? I watched Samantha Brown on the travel network and she says " there isn't a bad room at the lodge")
Anyway, We have five days and some hours left, The kids still don't know, (I hope WE can keep that surprise!) I haven't packed a thing.
I reviewed Tour Guide Mike ( first time touring his way) but I haven't made my plans...
Southwest lowered they're prices 3 times, and now I can't remember which are the real tickets or which are the ticketless travel vouchers!
I am overwhelmed!!!!!
Gotta get organized!!!

thanks for letting me vent!

We've decided to do our Magical Gathering at WL in July. This will be our first time staying at WL so I've got a lot of questions.

We're booking 4 room - woods view. What should I request for a good woods view room? I've heard that some of the woods views offer a view of the castle and/or fireworks and monorail. Any suggestions?

Would you suggest boat or bus transportation of MK in the morning - there will be 4 kids in strollers if that makes any difference.

Whispering Canyon - we've eaten their for dinner and wondered if they have the same "pony races" and other kids activities in the morning for breakfast.

Do they still do kids activities by the pool?

Any other tidbits or helpful information about WL will be greatly appreciated!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit @ Wilderness Lodge, and that you'll be going back so soon. Also wanted to tell you I loved your Dining Review.

The information on Allears is correct, all request should be made through CRO. Good Luck...hoping you'll be able to get your request.

Can anyone tell me what the food offerings are in the concierge lounge? Sorry if this has been answered before, I can't seem to find any info on this?
TIA-

Yes for Wood View rooms that have a possable view of the Castle and WISHES...request Northwing over looking the otter pond 5th or 6th floor. (* warning the woods view rooms on the 6th floor are the former smoking optional rooms so you may want to request 5th floor)
Would you suggest boat or bus transportation of MK in the morning - there will be 4 kids in strollers if that makes any difference.
With 4 strollers I would take the Green Flag Boat to the Magic Kingdom because you should be able to just roll the strollers on the large boat without folding them up.
Whispering Canyon - we've eaten their for dinner and wondered if they have the same "pony races" and other kids activities in the morning for breakfast.?
WCC for breakfast is even more fun then dinner or lunch with all the same crazy shenanigans.
Do they still do kids activities by the pool?
Yes ::yes::

Loads of great tidbits listed on page1 of this thread.
