:laundy: I know there have been lots of discussion on laundry on this thread, but I don't remember if anyone has mentioned hours. Is the facility open 24 hours or does it have a set opening & closing time? Hopefully this is the last bit of info I need before we leave on Saturday.
:car: :cool1:

Am I correct that anyone staying concierge can take advantage of this or is it for AKL concierge only?

It doesn't give hours exactly but....this came from Beckie on Page 1:

WL LAUNDRY:

Location: 1st floor across from the elevators down from Roaring Forks

Washers: 5 (med sized loads) $2.00 a load

Dryers: 10 $1.00 for 15 min, (60 min max)

Go in the evening time right before the rush. There is a waiting line till about 11:00pm. If you didn't come back for your dryer in time your stuff is taken out! Everyone is splitting their wash load into 2 dryer loads so it would dry faster. Most of the WL VET ladies reccmend early morning.

Ok I have a question that I am sure has been answered before but I am taking a short poll: We have an inner courtyard room booked for 12/2-9/06. If it is possible to get a woods view on the northside in an upper floor (I know slim chance, but if I could), would you or would you not take it and why? We are trying to decide if we should do it or not if one is available. We would like to see Wishes from our room and the castle if possible and I do not really want to go to CR for that view. Thanks if you answer.

Just remember that not all the northside woodsview rooms have views of MK. Some rooms are obstructed by the trees. I enjoy staying on the northside. It's closer to the the boat dock and Roaring Forks.

The Sunrise Safari is only for AK CL guests - the Wildlife Discovery Excursion (I think that's what it's called) is for all CL guests, but is only an hour long and doesn't include a meal.

When I stay Courtyard I request a room above the pool area. If you are going to be using Roaring Forks, I would suggest the North Wing as that wing has an elevator in it that would take you down right next to that. If you stay south wing, you'd have to make your way over to the North wing to get there..and it looks like your children are quite young. Then just add on a non-smoking with 2 queens and you'll get no bunks :)

Thank you! Yes, my kids will be 1.5 and 5.5 when we go. :)

I've been lurking here since Sunday because my husband and I are going to WDW for our 10th Ann. I've never been to WDW, and he hasn't been since he was a kid. I had a hard time choosing a resort because it looks like there are a bunch of great places. I had it narrowed down CR, Poly, and WL. After reading this thread, I booked the CL at WL for Aug. 7th-14th. :cheer2:
I have a little over 2 weeks until we go. :bitelip: Anyhow, I wanted to thank everyone who posted before me because your discussions have been very helpful.

that's wonderful news!!! and seeing as I arrive on the 19th..I expect a full report from you when you get back!! And I'm sure Kelly does too! :rotfl: Have a GREAT time..you'll love it! :goodvibes

We too are hoping for bunks, we have a girl-17 and a 11 boy, I don't have a problem with them sleeping together, but both are restless sleepers and I don't think even the largest bed could they sleep together and all of us get a good night sleep! Kids can get so weird about this kind of thing.
I went to target and bought a single air bed with an inflatable pump. It was only $16. It is not too heavy nor does it take up much room in a suitcase. If we don't get the bunks I plan on using that as a backup. We will all sleep better!
Bev

We did this on our last trip for our "kicky" 7 year old - it worked out REALLY well! Just proped it in a corner during the day.
Have fun!

We'll be staying at the WL August 26 through September 2, with the free dining plan. I am excited, as I have wanted to stay at the Wilderness Lodge for a long time! :sunny: I am VERY excited about staying in the renovated rooms, and we are praying for bunkbeds, as I have a DD12 and DS15.

We're going the EXACT same time - how cool!! Good luck with the bunks - we're trying to get them too (but good news, you're getting there before us :) )
Hope we ALL have a great time and get our bunks! :thumbsup2

We're going back! We upgraded from AsMo to WL for our 8/26 - 9/3 trip. I see several other DISers here with our same dates so we'll see everyone there! Yeay!

Trying to catch up on the WL latest since I haven't paid attention much since our February trip. Are all the rooms renovated now? How's Roaring Forks since the renovation?

My DS is also 15. I know he will be looking for a pool buddy. Maybe we can get them together? Nick is a reasonably (!) well behaved, semi-girl crazy, really good kid. Please let me know if we can arrange this. I know he'll want some "away from the crazed DIS mom" time!!!

Hi Pooch - That sounds great. My son is not yet girl crazy (I think), but he is video game-crazy and also a good kid. I'd love for him to have a friend and some incentive to get out of the game room and into the pool.

Are you doing the free dining? I have a feeling my DS will use up all of our CS credits on pizza and burgers! I sure hope Roarin Forks has pizza!

We'll have to figure out a way to get in touch with one another. I guess we can PM our "real" identities to one another and then call each others rooms when we get there? Maybe the boys can e-mail or IM each other before the trip?

Thanks for the good wishes! Maybe we'll see you there! I am torn between being SO excited about this trip :bounce: and thinking we are crazy for going during the suimmer!

I hope you get your bunks too. pixiedust: With all of the families visiting, I honestly don't know why WDW doesn't have many more bunkbed rooms. :confused3 Maybe they'll add some, especially now that they'll be charging a premium for them next year.

Its 10:45pm 7/20/06 and the price has gone up, well actually only the dryers, its 2.00$ a load now also, also soap and 2 dryer sheets will cost you a 1:50$.
It cost us 7:50$ to do 1 load of laundery because the dryers dont work all that great so we spent 4.00$ on a load for the dryer.

We are getting to the resort about 9am so I am keeping my fingers crossed but with our backup plan I won't be too disapointed with 2Q beds..

Bev

Good idea about the inflatable beds, Bev. :thumbsup2 Or, if we get 2Qs, we'll just have a "girls" bed and a "boys" bed. My daughter kicks, though! :rotfl:

Have a great trip!

:guilty: I changed my reservations to the AKL, so I won't be able to give you and Kelly the scoop. Since I won't go to Africa anytime soon, AKL ended up swaying me. I'm definitely planning to visit WL in August. I have a feeling I will be staying there on my 2nd trip to WDW. :cloud9:

I hope you and Kelly enjoy your trips! :goodvibes

I have been out of town for the week and I just wanted to thank those of you that answered my mug question that is buried several pages back now!

Thanks,

Joanne
