Yes, those times are as of June 3rd, 2006!!

Also, on the brochure it says "Guests staying in a Resort with a Fitness Center may use the facility at no additional charge." :thumbsup2

I always bring workout clothes with me on vacation...I honestly have good intentions, but I usually walk so much at WDW I end up NOT going to the fitness center!

I do the same, but this time I'm going to REALLY make an attempt at getting to the gym 3-4 mornings!!!

I just wanted to be part of this thread, as my family will be staying at the WL for the first time in October. I went to WCC for dinner while at a conference in January & fell in LOVE with this resort! I can't wait to actually stay there! I've booked a woods view room & have requested bunk beds. I hope we get them -- my kids would be thrilled!

Thanks for all of the great info on this thread!

Just joining this wonderful, info-packed, love-those-pics, can't wait to go myself thread! :thumbsup2 Hopefully I can contain my excitement until September! Oh, who am I kidding!

This is a mother/daughter(me) trip, my second time to the World and mom has never been! I originally booked us at the POR, but I had it at the back of my mind to switch to WL after my DB and DSIL stayed there and loved it. Then when I read this thread (all the way through, no less!) I decided to change our res to WL! When I called to change the res, they only had courtyard view, but from what I've read, I won't go wrong if I request "inner courtyard". Is that right? That will give me a view of the pool, stream, geyser, and the lake. Is that right?

Thanks for all the info on these boards!

Can you get bunkbeds in the standard view rooms?

CRSNDSNY

Sorry the bunk beds are for Woods or Courtyard View. I would add it to my reservation if they would let you, the Lodge is good about upgrading. But every request is just that a request.

On Jan 1 2007 you will have the option to book a room with Bunk Beds for an additional charge.

Perhaps I'll just ask about it at checkin. It isn't a big deal as the two double beds will work just fine.

THANKS!

I love reading this thread in preparing for our first trip to WL - and I agree, its due to the great pictures, and the love our family has of the outdoors that is drawing us to the WL - cant wait to eat at Artist Point - and thanks to the reports, I'm not at all thrilled with the idea of the menu of Roaring Forks -

btw, I may have missed it - what is the breakfast choices? TIA

oh, and question on Courtyard view - north, vs south - any discernable difference? TIA

(also since they only have Courtyard available do they ever "downgrade")

just sign me
curious
:yay:

i think the WL has queen beds??

there was thing on this board about someone being downgraded and then moved the next day

EEYORE45

The breakfast items are the standard counter services fare. Sausage Biscuit with Cheese, Breakfast Sandwich,Breakfast Plate (Scrambled eggs, bacon accompanied by hash browns.) Pancakes.

I have stated before I love the Inner-Courtyard Views off the Lobby. (in the middle) :confused3

I have never heard of them downgrading anyone but you can always ask at check-in.

Is there a map that shows the detail of the rooms and where elevators, etc are? I'm trying to decide where I should request my room. I have a courtyard view room and I know it was suggested from someone on this board that I request near lobby since I have pain with walking. If you are down one of the corridors, are there elevators at that end or do you have to walk ALL the way down towards the lobby for elevators? I want the shortest route to the buses and boat. If I look at where the boat is I would assume I would want to be down a long corridor but only if there were elevators down there. I guess I'm just wanting to see a map so I can see where all the exits are to outside. When I was making reservations the gal asked if I would want a first floor room because of my health issue and I told her not to request that. Would a first floor room be better. Can you get outside directly from your balcony?
Another thing I am a little worried about is I hear the lobby rooms are noisy. Is this only during the day hours (because that wouldn't bother me) or is this all night? My dd has sensory issues so I'd like a quiet area. Thanks

Hi all. I just switched our July ressie and we will now be splitting our stay between BC and WL. Standard view was all that was available with an AAA discount. What should I request? I would like as nice a view as possible and I think I read something on allears about renovated rooms? Does anyone know if the renovations are complete?

TIA! :wave2:

We just returned from our first WDW trip on Sunday and spent 7 wonderful days at WL. Prior to going I spent many hours reading these boards and learning as much as I could. My DH appreciated my new knowledge, but also laughed at my addiction. My daughters (4 and 6) loved rubbing Humphrey's nose every morning for good luck.

We definitely got pixie dusted on our room. We requested standard view, and I knew we would have a view of the service area, but was hoping for the best. We ended up on the sixth floor, renovated room, and beautiful view of Wishes every night! Room 6056 - it was great. The noise from the service area wasn't bad at all and the view of Cinderella's Castle and the fireworks was worth it all.

We had no trouble with any kind of transportation from the WL. We took boats and buses, and never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for anything.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the information and ideas on this thread and the many others that I read. It all helped to make our trip even more magical.

:tink:

Hello everyone! Thanks again for all the great information and pictures! We'll be staying at WL for our first time and we can't wait! We decided to book the WL with all your help from this amazing thread!
I just have a couple of questions? Could someone explain to me what I have to do to possibly become a Flag Family? It sounds like a truly wonderful experience!
Also, we have a 8:05AM ADR at the castle. Should I be nervous about the buses getting us there on time? Or do you think I should get a taxi to take us over to the MK? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. We know that we made the right decision by choosing WL! :thumbsup2
