PoohfanDoes anyone know what the earliest time is that I can do that? Can I go down to the lobby at 7 am or 7:30 am and set things up so we're ready to leave by 8 am?
What should I request for a deluxe room that is closest to the lobby? I read the post on the first page and I tried to look a the map, but I have never been to WL before, so I am having a hard time envisioning the layout.
Inner courtyard view is what you want. The upper courtyard is quieter with direct views of the stream and rocks. Lower is more directly the pool and geyser. Bear face rooms give you direct views onto the lake (from a distance) with everything else in between.

How would request this room location? Sorry, am not familair with WL to know what "Bear face" rooms means! LOL
Thanks ever so much!!
I know this has probably been asked a thousand times so i apologize in advance. I just got moved to WL from AKL and am very excited but have so many little questions:
1. Is it faster, wiser to take a resort boat to CR and then walk to MK, I need to make sure I am at MK by 830am?
2. If I took a bus to MK in the am, where exactly does the bus drop you off at, in front of MK or at TTC?
2a. I will be leaving MK around 1pm, what is the fastest way to get back to WL at that time and I will be going back to Mk around 5pm.
3. Should I take a taxi to AK, I hear that bus ride is rather long? how much would a taxi ride cost to AK from WL?
4. What about getting to DTD, should I call a taxi for that as well?
5. On arrival day, we plan on checking in early , around 11 or so and then heading straight to TL, taxi again???
6. Has anyone rented the bikes, can you ride them over to FW?
we have rented the bikes several times and have used the paths to ride to Ft. Wilderness. Cindy's MomWe have 8a CRT reservation, how will we get to the MK? Is a cab the best bet. We don't mind the expense if it buys us a few minutes as well.
Page 445 of this Topic has descriptions and picture of the Bear Face rooms.
must have accidentally skipped that page...have been going backward and am on page 440...
Does anyone know exactly which rooms are the courtyard bunkbed rooms? Also, how and when do you go about requesting a room?
Could someone please tell me if there are rooms in the center of the U of courtyard (to the right and left of the center)? And if so, how would I make that location a room request? No privacy balcony though, so guess that would be any floor under the 6th?
Looking straight ahead seems about perfect to me. Of course, a room there may not be available for our stay - any suggestions for Courtyard view requests so we are not on the Villa side? Too quiet for me.
1. If you want to you may ride the resort Blue Flag Boat over to the CR then walk to the Magic Kingdom, but the direct bus would be faster. The buses start running at 7:00am.
2. The direct bus from Wilderness Lodge stops at Bus Stop #1 @ the Magic Kingdom bus stops. It only goes to TTC after the Magic Kingdom closes for the night.
2a. If you are leaving the Magic Kingdom @ 1:00pm Before the Green Flag Boat route reverses direction at 3:00 pm. Before 3 it goes clockwise Ft. Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge then Magic Kingdom after 3 it goes counterclockwise Magic Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge then Ft. Wilderness Campground. So at 1:00pm the Green Flag Boat would first travel to Ft, Wilderness Campground then Wilderness Lodge so the direct bus would be much faster than taking the boat. Same for your trip back at 5:00pm when the Green Flag Boat will be be traveling to Ft. Wilderness Campground as it will be after 3:00pm.
3. I would use Disney buses to travel to AKL if the Animal Kingdom is still open just take the bus from Wilderness Lodge to the AK then jump on the AKL bus. Or you could take the direct bus to Magic Kingdom then transfer to the AKL bus. If the parks are open you could also travel back to Wilderness Lodge using the same only reversed. When you are ready to leave AKL you could take a taxi then the price should be under $15.00.
4. You could take a taxi to DTD but remember your on vacation relaxe, the buses do take longer but if you schedule a little extra time you can still enjoy yourself.
5. Same as above.
6. Yeswe have rented the bikes several times and have used the paths to ride to Ft. Wilderness.

Just make sure you request an Inner Courtyard View room located off the Lobby, these rooms are located on the 4th, 5th and 6th floor. The balconies in this section on the Lodge are not inclosed.
Requesting the Inner will let the room assigner know you don't want the Villa view.
Has anyone taken a cab from WL to DTD or vice versa? IF so, how much did it cost?
Also, did you need to tip seperately for turndown service?
I leave an extra tip for the turndown service, but only if I am in the room between the time the room is cleaned and late afternoon when the Mousekeepers return to do the turn down.Thank you so much! Will do!
How's this?
1.Inner Courtyard Lobby room or Bay Lake view
2.Upper floor
3.no privacy balcony
TinaHow late are the pools open till. Or is there a room where I can see that area and still have some quite time.
Also I have seen photos from the roof can anyone go up there to take pictures.
So you will have some quite time.
That's too much information, and if you want a Lobby room you don't have to worry about the inclosed balcony or the view of Bay Lake, you will receive both request with the following.
Just request :Inner Courtyard View room off the Lobby.

BeckyThanks yet again, Beckie! I thought some of the 6th floor rooms could fit that request as well, but I have asthma and MS so want to avoid the former 6th floor smoking rooms.
Becky
None of the Lobby rooms have ever been Smoking Optional Rooms. The only rooms that were smoking optional rooms were located in the far North Wing these rooms also have the inclosed dormer balconies. If you look at the map of the room assignments:Wilderness Lodge Room #'s and Locations
The rooms that were the old smoking optional rooms are room # 6000-6034. The other wing South room # 6130-6165 have the inclosed balconies.
