Hi everybody! Finished up my trip report, essentially. I just have to do the last day, which won't be too hard as it was our travel day and we didn't do much. I'm sure if you've read it you feel plenty sorry for me by now.
I think we should hold a little unorganized contest to see who is
most worthy of a new tag. Everybody can state their reasons of why they are the most pitiful and therefore in need of a new tag as a pick-me-up. I hereby submit - my trip report and stand by that is the reason why I am the most pitiful. I mean, do you have any idea how much money we paid to be out of town and lay around in our sick beds for days? Who goes to Disney and the
entire family gets sick? I do believe I am the most pitiful member of this here Tagliarchy! And did I mention that I am
still suffering from whatever this illness is? I'm pretty sure I've gotten a sinus infection out of it. And that my two baby girls have ear infections? And that I have to now take Daniel to the doctor this afternoon because he is still laying around like a lifeless form of human being? Who even knows what his diagnosis will be. It's been 10 days since this all started and I am still not over it. I deserve a tag!!!
Now, to answer
TiggerFans festive question of the day - Our holiday traditions, beginning with Christmas Eve day: the kids exchange their gifts to each other sometime in early afternoon. This gives them a special time together and relieves some of the anxiety of waiting til the next day to open something.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_2_47.gif' border=0></a>
Next we go to the in-laws which is where I spend time with
Deadheadbelle and Nancy-pants. The adults don't exchange gifts to each other, instead we each bring a wrapped DVD and we have a sort of silent auction where you draw a number and then choose a DVD or take someone else's DVD if it's one you'd want. That's kind of fun. Except last year my crazy

DMIL brought "Deliverance" as her offering.

No one wanted that one. She's a little nutty.
On Christmas Day we stay home and the in-laws drop by to see the loot and have breakfast. Later in the day we go to my parents where chaos prevails <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_2_81.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_206.gif' border=0></a><a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_2_95.gif' border=0></a> <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_4_20.gif' border=0></a>Way too many people in together in one place. Everybody kind of tears into the presents all at once and there's usually lots of running around and getting into trouble by my nephews who were born hellions! Then we go home. We usually recover the day after, but this year we have a wedding to deal with starting the day after. No rest for the weary this time!
Gotta get ready to take Daniel to the doctor. Maybe we'll pick up some new germs while we're there.
