hey everyone....here's a random question

my father has put me in charge of creating our desktop backgrounds. i have mae some but i have seen cooler ones. if anyone here makes backgrounds that are layered or have cool graphics, could you please tell me what program you use? i use corel photo house and corel presentation. but anti-tech me can't seem to make very cool ones.

Thanks Tigger Fans! for the Hanukkah card..We just gort back from my parents for our family Hanukkah gathering.. we had a quite a spirited game of Drediel and then Lord of the Rings Monopoly.

I baked a Hot Fudge cake for all...TTFN

We had dinner at ohanafamily's parents' house with all the family and a few of his parents' friends tonight. It was actually rather nice. I made a kugel - kind of a casserole type thing - that went over pretty well. I brought the leftovers to share here, not that there was that much left though. And if you're watching your weight, it was made with fat-free yogurt, fat-free cottage cheese, fruit cocktail in fruit juice (not heavy syrup), and splenda instead of surgar.

The gifts were a hit, too. At least the ones for younger niece and nephew. ohanafamily picked out a sketch kit at Disneyland for nephew that teaches you how to draw Mickey. DN disappeared while we were all eating and no one could find him. It turns out he was working on a sketch - he did a good job, too. We gave niece a scrapbooking kit that had blow pens in it along with a "decorate yourself" scrapbook and several templates. She had lots of fun playing with it, and couldn't wait for me to finish eating to help her with it.

Cheeringmom, will you help me wrap presents? I still have about 45 to go, and that's after all our Hanukkah presents and about 2 dozen of the small gifts ohanafamily gives the store employees. I'm so sick cutting and taping, if I don't see another package all year it would be too soon.

So much to do and so little time left. Why is I can think of so much that needs to be done when I'm lying in bed? I had to get up and write it all down before I forgot it all.

Hope everyone stays healthy and safe over the next few days. I'm so excited about Christmas. But not Christmas Eve. It's looking like DH's brother, Nancy-pants and those "wonderful" kids of theirs are going to be sticking around a little longer than usual this year. I feel like such an awful person, but when you've experienced certain people a number of times and you come to know exactly what to expect, it's hard not to dread being with them for a couple hours. No relaxing Christmas eve for this family. But it's sure to be one to remember!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_121.gif' border=0></a> (This is my adorable niece and nephew, Maddie and the Griff). If only I can protect little Ella all night, that's really the best I can hope for.

Morning..Cheering Mom thanks for the Fruit Loops.. DS#2 loves them.. he will eat them until they come out of his ears

I brought some bagels - chocolate chip and strawberry and blueberry with chocolate chip cream cheese and plain cream cheese too.. plus some nice hot Chococlate and de caf latte with chocolate...

All my boys are off school/work today, wonder what they will do at home by themselves?? wonder what the house will look like when I get home after work?? Wonder if they will make dinner??

Hi everyone, I just got a PM from Mad4Mickey. She asked that I let everyone know she is in serious need of Pixie Dust. I find it difficult, so I hope she won't mind me quoting her. We were going to get together so I could scan the pictures of a certain wand... well I hadn't heard from her for a while and her PM speaks for itself...

I wanted you to know I have not forgotten about the pics of Rick . I was very busy with work and then last week I found a close friend ( who lived alone across the street ) dead in her kitchen. I had just got her started on the DIS and she was using the name TXPixie. I do want you to help me with the pics soon . You have always been so kind to me , I was wondering if you could kind of let people on our thread know I have not forgotten them . I miss them all and will be back as soon as I can ! Wish them all a VERY TAGGED Christmas !
