I think I have news for FP+ for those planning to stay soon. I have reservations at the Swan March 6-13. I linked my tickets on MDE. I make dining reservations at Crystal Palace for March 7 and Be our guest on March 12. Well I just got an email from Disney that says

"Since you took the time to plan a dining experience at a Walt Disney World Theme Park in advance, we’d like to invite you to test Disney FastPass+ service so you can reserve access to select Theme Park experiences in advance as well! You can do this by helping us test our Disney FastPass+ service* while you’re here!

With Disney FastPass+ service you can lock-in some of your must do fun before you arrive. That means you can enjoy less time waiting in line and more time having fun. Best yet – it’s included with Theme Park admission."

Then it has instructions for how to link your tickets and your dining reservation. The confirmation number included in the email was for the BOG reservation.

It goes on to say if I link everything by March 6 they will send me an email regarding the FP+ by March 7. I don't know yet if the FP+ selections will be for during our trip yet or not. The BOG reservation is the last night of our trip. Just a heads up that it sounds like things are rolling out. The testing must start some time after the Crystal Palace reservation since I didn't get an email about that one.

That's great for you!:cool1:

Still keeping my fingers crossed for something before my May trip. I do now have an "offer" in MDE messages offering a "deal" at the Dolphin plus park tickets. However the "deal" would cost me almost $100 more per night over the AAA discount I booked at the Dolphin already :rolleyes1. However I wonder how they knew I was staying at the Dolphin since I can't link that in MDE?

Interesting...

I have an update. Just for kicks I went to MDE and selected FP+. It actually let me select FP+ for every day. I think the ADR was the key and probably having tickets linked helped.

Wow...and this is for a Swan/Dolphin reservation with regular tickets? Not an AP that had a previous onsite stay?
If so then happy days are ahead! :thumbsup2

Yup. I bought 6 day tickets from UT and linked them in MDE.

Awesome.

Now I'm wondering if I should cancel my one day at the Beach Club prior to my Dolphin stay in June...

We have previously stayed onsite at Pop and at CSR and enjoyed both. We‘ve especially liked DME and have included the regular dining plan for our 2 onsite stays. We are teachers & for our upcoming trip in March 2015 we are considering the Swan. If you have also stayed at Pop/CSR and the Swan/Dolphin please comment on your comparative experience(s).

I haven't stayed at either Pop or CSR. Just wanted to mention that you can't get the dining plan at Swan/Dolphin if that is important to you.

Just making sure- you don't have a MB, right??

Nope. The last time I was at WDW was 2 years ago. I stayed at the swan then too.

Got it. Looks like there are a few other reports of this happening. Given the short time frame they gave you, I hope this means they want to roll out a larger "test" soon...

Yeah, I considered cancelling my one night before Swan after I booked the WL stay for April, but ended up keeping it for DME. If you're driving or renting a car that's a non-factor for you anyway.

Thanks, yes we are considering trying going without the dining plan & since we were, we thought we‘d try the Swan. Our other option is going over to Universal & staying onsite there. We love the Disney atmosphere though.

I will be at the Dolphin Saturday, I have dinning reservations and have linked my park tickets to MDE but I still can't do anything with FP+. I really hope this changes soon.

I'm not sure if it helps or not but I wanted to keep track of which park we will be in on each day so I also selected a parade or fireworks etc for each day. Not a FP+ but it's a reminder. That way when I looked at the app I could easily remember which park I wanted to be in each day. I don't know if that will trigger anything. I'm just trying to think of anything I may have done differently.

It is a great place, isn't it? Glad to hear you had a great stay!!

What sort of items on the Fountain menu for breakfast?

You could choose from pancakes, eggs (any style) or an omelette (several ingredients were available). It came with a choice of bacon&sausage or fruit, and all included potatoes and toast. Food was good. Service was a little slow, but I think it was because it was literally the first day they were serving breakfast and I figured I would cut the staff some slack due to that. It pays to be patient and nice, because when it took forever to get our food (I was about to politely say something to someone) they brought it out and said they would take 20% off the bill to compensate us for the long wait, which was nice!

The price was 18.99 for adults, 9.99 for kids.

Great idea, Thanks
