For those of you who have ordered from Garden Grocer, how far in advance do I need to place my order? We arrive on 11/30, the Saturday after Thanksgiving which I assume will be a fairly busy day....

For busy times, you would need to order well in advance - HOWEVER, if you're ordering for delivery to Swan or Dolphin - I'm afraid you're out of luck. Garden Grocer deliveries are not allowed (I think it's been for about a year now).

(you're correct - patty. Swan and Dolphin have confirmed this and it has been posted as confirmed in a number of places. :()

Well pooh! I did search prior to asking but never found that info. Back to square one I guess....although we are taking a town car so I guess we can use tat 30 minute grocery stop. My concern is perishable items. If our room is not ready, what do I do with cold stuff (I'm thinking some yogurts for breakfast) :confused3

We always make a grocery stop and have never had a problem. Just point out which bags contain perishables...they'll refrigerate them for you until your room is ready.

I'm sorry that I won't get to see you in December, but I hope that you have a wonderful time in January.

Oh, I hope that Diane can meet up with us, too.

That's right, Nancy. Thank you for the links. I hope that we get to see each other several times. I already have the Tag-O-Mania and ReUnion2013 tentatively scheduled. I know that they may change times as time gets closer. I am waiting for DISApalooza and R.A.D.P http://meets.radp.org/faq.htm to finalize their schedules. But I am really waiting to schedule our own little meet and greet just to maybe chat and get to know each other in person.

Anyone have any ideas about meeting up somewhere?

Maybe near the Disney Swan Resort, or on the Boardwalk in the evening to casually watch some of the entertainers?

Whatever we do will be fun and I am open to anything everyone comes up with.

I don't know how many of you are DVC members, but the DVC Merry Mixer Epcot was on Tuesdays from 3pm-5pm in early December inside Epcot and great for kids for all ages. You are all welcome to be my guests if they schedule it again this December if you are not a DVC member. :woohoo:

I am also DVC, Ray. :) When the Merry Mixer schedule comes out, that would be a fun meet to schedule! :thumbsup2

I like your idea of the Boardwalk area one evening! :thumbsup2 Dec 4th or 5th are the only 2 dates that would work for me - the 6th has so much going on over at DHS and I leave the evening of the 7th. (and I still need to go check those Tagrel threads!)

Wishing you all a Happy Weekend! I am headed to the Braves game tonight. Can they extend their win streak to 15?!! ;)

:goodvibes
Won't be at the S/D this time but will be looking forward to seeing all of you. Karen is at BW so if I have to, I can always sleep there. I'll be over at SSR. Bother! See you all in Dec. Make sure you keep me in the loop as far as plans go!!!!

Sounds good!! :cool1:

We've used the guest laundry facilities at the Dolphin in past visits. This trip we are going to be at the Swan. Do they also have a guest laundry? Where is it located?

Swan does not have laundry. You will need to use the Dolphin.

Thanks Dan. That's inconvenient. I guess we will just put the dirty clothes in one of our roll-ons and drag it across to the Dolphin.

Here at the dolphin now. They did upgrade me to a Deluxe Alcove and are letting me stay in it for the last (points) night. They didn't charge me anymore points either.

I'm in the first row of black windows in the triangle, immediately to the left of the fountain.

The fountain is closed down, being refurb'd right now.

Lmk if any one has questions.

Yay staying at the Dolphin in September before moving over to the Beach Club! I made my ressie online and have been upgraded to "resort view". I would like to know more about the Deluxe Alcove rooms have 2 beds??? :) Thanks in advance!

They have both but we are in a King. Very roomy, almost twice the size of a standard. A little kitchenette area which would be ideal if they had a microwave :( couch. coffee table & sitting area.

I just upgraded from a standard room to a king alcove at the Swan. We own our own biz and often, DH gets stuck working some during vacations. I thought the extra space would be nice. DD will get the pull out couch :) Please tell me it's comfy enough for a 10 year old :confused3

One of my friends sometimes stays with me at the Swan when I am there, and she sleeps on the sofabed. She thinks it's very comfy, so I imagine a 10-year-old would be fine, too!

Thanks. I figured as much. She can sleep through anything and will be exhausted to boot :thumbsup2
