I think I've caught on but I'm a little slow so you'll have to forgive me........does WL stand for Wilderness Lodge and why do you prefer it over other Disney hotels?

Our last stay was at Caribbean Beach which was fine as we spend very little time in the room. We did visit Wilderness Lodge for a special dinner that was quite fun where they had horse stick races around the room for the little ones and my DS4(at the time) almost got arrested for asking for more ketchup. But we were only there for the one meal.

Soooooo......what are the advantages of staying there? My DS9 and I have done the Disney cruise each year for four years and have not done WDW since the year before that......we're planning a WDW trip and since we haven't been in so long, I thought I'd get your take on the Wilderness Lodge. I know I should be posting on the resort threads but I see so much about WL on this thread and thought it couldn't hurt to ask.......:p

Thanks Majestic. That was a great idea. I looked it up online and called our local Lowes about the only generator that was listed a TroyBilt 5,550 Portable. The store can't have it for us until Friday. I wish First Energy had called earlier. I wish this would never happen. Oh Well...,
Thanks so much for letting me vent. I've been trying to

as much as possible so I don't miss any deadlines tomorrow. I printed out my lists of email contacts so I can go to the library and use a share computer if I have to. I worked so hard I got a

a try. No Luck. Maybe I'm too Type A for that. So I snoozed

I'm gonna eat some pizza and cheesey sticks then take a couple of Advil.
Thanks to all of you for putting up with me and your kindness.

WL is the BEST !!!! Fred can tell you all about it :teeth: But I had to say that ....

Also if you can swing it stay on the 7th floor and make sure you have a view of the Castle . My Nephew was in awe the whole time that we could see Mickey Moush Housh from our room .
Nothing like fresh baked cookies and fireworks .

Wishing you a Tagged night

Bah!! Don't go with what is online. It doesn't match their local inventory!! Ask them what they have in stock for generators. They should give you between 3 and 4 models that are stacked up on the shelves. If not, find a Home Depot. I was at my local store this weekend and I saw at LEAST 10 generators towards the exit of the store. My wife and I were almost going to take advantage of our 6 months no interest no payments on the HD card to get a 9000 watt one.

Keep in mind that not only can it power your PC and router but it can also give your fridge and a few lamps some juice. Just don't use any coffee makers or hair dryers as they are high amp, high wattage items.

Sorry for rambling. :)

Well, I don't want to clog up the thread with resort FAQ or opinion but I will say that the biggest perk of WL is that it is like a vacation away from Disney parks. Very relaxing. Very refreshing.

I am also a spoiled BRAT so concierge is a MUST. I like being pampered. The cookies are YUM! So are the uncrustables PB&J with Milk.

For some really good recent comments about WL I would recommend you read this thread.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=511014

Good luck and visit us on the WL FAQ in the resorts board if you need me to help further. I will do whatever I can.

Called Lowes back and they said they had the 3,000 model there. I really want more running watts than that so I called the nearest Home Depot. Looks like we'll be making a short road trip tomorrow morning. Life around here is nothing short of insane.

Yeah! You go! Please fill us in with the model you chose. Make sure that you get extra oil and a few 5 gallon plastic certified gas containers. You should get quite a few hours out of a tank but you will want a few spares that are full and ready to go.

Glad to be of assistance! :) ::yes::

Ok, I was CRAZY busy today and was not able to participate in much.

FRED...........Welcome. I haven't said it and meant to do so. I lurked around the WL threads, mostly until the ***t hit the fan and they closed the thread. Now Humphrey's home is cozy and back with pazazzzzzz!

I have to say, I used my Ignore List today for the very first time EVER. Some times, the air is worth more in than out, ya know? DHB I hope I can find the strength to resist the foolishness of that idiot.

Anyhow, it's 10:30pm and I gotta get. I hope Bichon has a great trip.

WHY IS THERE NO GODIVA AROUND HERE??????

Hey everyone, just checking in before hitting the sack.

OK, we are going to WDW in October & my parent's & llebrekniT's family will all be going. I think we are going to stay at a moderate for the first few nights, then switch to a Deluxe for the last few. I have always wanted to stay at Wilderness Lodge & think this would be a great time to try it out. Here is the problem: One person in our group doesn't want to stay there. She says "if we are going to stay at a Deluxe, then I want to be on the monorail" . While I see this person's (who shall remain nameless) point. I still really want to stay at the WL. So, this is where Majestic, DisneyDmbNut, & all you other WL nuts come in. Give me some reasons that the WL is a better choice than the CR and the Poly. Thanks!

disneyluvers, good luck tomorrow. I hope your power is only out a very short time.

Good night everyone!

Good morning my TAGLIARCHY friends.
It's an early start again for me today. DH and I are going ovedr to his parents. My SIL has driven up from her home down south and we are going shopping to Milton Keynes, a town with a huge shopping centre and it is set out like an american city on a grid system. It is very unusual in England to have towns set out like that. I'm not sure what I plan to get, apart from getting my mobile phone fixed and some clinique makeup as there is an offer on for it at one shop.
Well I better go and feed the cats and rabbitts and then get going.
Have a good day.

Have fun shopping Danauk. And give 'em HECK at the phone store! ;)

Deadheadbelle, have y'all finally settled on dates for October?

Okay, I'm off to bed now. See y'all in the morning.

Good morning, TAGLIARCHY!

I'm wayyyyy behind again. That's what happens when you can only hit the forums every couple of days or so... :teeth:

Dropping off Krispy Kremes (chocolate covered ones, of course) and your drink of choice for all. :)

I hope everyone has a great day!

Morning... stopping by to drop off some chcoolate corn flakes and cocoa puffs.. to go with our krispy Kremes..

It's warmimg up here and the snow is melting.. going to be in the 40's today..YEAH!!

Off to demo some software..TTFN

Good mornin'!

disneyluvers, I sure hope they got your power back on. Hope you hadn't just made a major trip to the grocery store. The generator is a great idea, DH keeps wanting to get one. We had an ice storm here last year and lots of people lost power for up to a week. Deadheadbelle was among them, lost power for I think 4 days. She came here for a couple of them. Anyway, if you don't find one, why not head out to a hotel for a little rest and relaxation away from all that? That's what I would probably do.

Deadheadbelle, are you going to Disney on Ice this weekend or not?

Ella is soooooo into Lion King right now. We have a Disney Sing-a-long video, the "Circle of Life" one and she LOVES the title song. She gets out her Lion King book, flips to the page where Rafiki holds up Simba for all to see, and watches in total awe. She also gets the stuffed baby Simba we have (bought at WDW when Daniel was little) and the Mexican shaker (I always forget what you call them) bought at EPCOT and performs the ceremony along with Rafiki and then holds the baby Simba up in the air when Rafiki does. Enough to make me crumble! We HAVE to get this baby to the Lion King show at AK soon! Hurry up March!

Oh, one more thing. She can't talk yet, but she tries with all her little bitty heart to sing the song! It's kind of like "ahhhhhhh, ahhhhhhhh, ahhhhhhhhh". But Mommy knows what she means.;)

Ok, I know you've heard enough about that already. Sorry, just had to express my need for this baby to go back to WDW to people who would understand.::yes:: So many people who know us think we are nuts because we go so much.

It was not very chatty here yesterday. Where is Cheeringmom?

Lewski709 said she had a busy day, hopefully today she will be around more.

Also missing are RickinNYC, and ohanafamily hasn't been here nearly enough lately or his dear wife RRBB, but I know they are both busy.

I'm worried about Tigger Fans!, I even sent her a PM and haven't heard from her, does anyone know anything?

joshsmom has been gone a few days and geffric has not been here much either. What's up guys?

Gotta go, Ella's calling for me! Back soon!

Hi geffric and TNCarole. TNCarole you were next on my list of absentees but I got tired of copying and pasting all those names. Glad you're back! What's going on in your neck of the woods?

Good morning TAGLIKINS.

I'll have one of those chocolate covered Krispy Kremes to go with my hazel-nut coffee...yummmmm.

Hey, Deadheadbelle, I second RRBB's questions....any date yet on the Octber trip for you and llebrekniT.
And...if it is like 10/1 (or2) through Sunday 10/10 would you be willing and able to meet on Sat 10/9 (possibly you last full day there), if that is, in fact, the day that RRBB and ohanafamily would arrive? I know this is still a long way off, but air fares are really good right now and since my friend is paying for our tickets (bless her heart!) we're kind of anxious to get something booked.

Does anybody know if/when Rikku's trip is scheduled? And didn't Mad4Mickey say she'd be interested in coming then also?

Sorry if I'm making anyone crazy about this......I have a VERY strong planning gene and a VERY strong desire to meet as many of the TAGLIARCHY and their families as possible! AND I know some of you even have WDW trips planned before this one, so that's where your attention is focused right now. Feel free to send me to my room for a time out if necessary

::yes::

Good Morning everyone!

It is supposed to be 55 degrees today!!! WOO HOO!!! Maybe into the early 60's tomorrow---Yippee, Yahoo!!

Hey TNCarole, how's it going down south???

Well, I don't know what I am going to do today. I guess pay some bills, go to the grocery store...again...we are out of milk.

Have a great day everyone!

ibouncetoo, still no definite dates. If the fares are good, please go ahead & book. I don't want you to lose out on a good rate because of me. Unfortunately, DH still has not gotten his vacation requests back for this year. It is driving me nuts!!! Also, as far as October 9th goes, I just found out that one of my cousins is getting married that day, so I don't know what we are going to do. Anyway, please plan your trip & hopefully we can work something out. I love to plan too. I have my Passporter & llebrekniT & I have been discussing which building in which resort we will request, which places we will get PS's for, etc.
