Hi all thought I would try to catch up with my trip report. So... on to day 3
Day 3
We got up about 7:30am, got ready and headed down to Captain Cooks. This was our first time eating here and using the electronic order station. You touch the pictures on the screen of the things you want to order. DH got the TT, the kids got French toast sticks, and I got a chocolate chip muffin. I learned that if you use an adult CS point from the
DDP it entitles you to your breakfast entrée and 2 drinks. I guess the second drink replaces a dessert you would be entitled to at lunchtime. I saw some people upset with this, since a family of 4, if using the DDP would walk away with 8 drinks. Someone asked if he could replace the second drink with a banana, but he was told no. It was fine for us since DH got 2 coffees with his TT, giving me one to go with my oop muffin.
I should mention that I did not smell anything strange from Captain Cook’s; I know I have read reports of people experiencing an odor in this area. We did not.
From Breakfast we walked to the TTC to catch a bus to AK. We began to wait for the bus at infront of the poly but when we saw how many people were there and that it seemed they were waiting awhile, we decided to go to TTC instead. This was the only time we took a bus. I was not sure were the parked the buses at the TTC, but a very nice CM walked me right to the very place we needed to be. All the while she was telling me about things not to miss at AK, like the baby Giraffe and elephant. Just a note, as you walk from the poly into the ttc, go all the way to the other side of the ttc for the bus terminal. It is just passed both monorail entrances.
We were meeting my parents (Florida Locals) at AK, and it was another beautiful day! We stayed at AK till about 3pm but we had the chance to do Everest, Dinosaur, Kali river rapids 2x, shop and see the Lion King show. We also ate lunch at Pizza Safari. At about 3pm my parents drove us back to Poly and they left for home. WE rested and cleaned up. We had a busy night ahead of us. We had dinner set for 5 at Whispering Canyons and from there we would do
MNSSHP.
We took the monorail to MK and then a boat to Wilderness lodge. This was our first time at WL. The resort was really nice! I never paid it too much attention because the Wilderness for a vacation is not my thing. But you know, I don’t think I would mind trying it sometime. Dinner here was very fun and my boys who had no idea of what happens at this restaurant were laughing the whole meal! It was very fun and the food was good!
DS needs Ketchup for his burger
Yup, the blue Glowtini belongs to me!
Unfortunately, dinner was very slow… the fun parts make things take longer. I suggest doing this on a night you don’t intend on rushing out! LOL After dinner we took the boat over to MK for MNSSHP. I would say we got there about 7:30.
The boys were storm troopers from star wars! Very cute. The party was lots of fun. The park was empty and we did so much! Dumbo, POTC 2x, Haunted Mansion, Buzz 2x, Peter Pan, Winnie Pooh, Race track. We saw the second show of the parade, which was just awesome, and then left for the night.
We did so much, and planned to come back the next day so we did not need to stay till closing.
We took the monorail back to the beautiful Polynesian. Walked back to Tokelau (which my boys managed with tired feet- no problems!) enjoyed out turn down service and got ready for bed.
We were sleeping in an extra hour for day 4 and planned for an evening of swimming and fireworks at the poly!
