SeaSpray, I am thinking of you. I join everyone here in offering my sincere condolences to you and your family.

We are here at the Polynesian and LV CL is more than I'd even hoped. I feel so lucky to be here. We watched Wishes from our balcony last night and it was beyond magical :wizard: I told my husband via instant messaging last night (he is at home working) that I feel like the luckiest person in the world to be here. If anyone is considering LV CL I can tell you - the views and this building are :cloud9:

I simply cannot believe the view :cool1:

EMH at MK this a.m., so gotta run but wanted to share a few pics from yesterday:

Take care everyone~

Hello fellow Polynesian resort fans :)

I just got back last night from an unexpected trip to NJ; almost 2 weeks ago my father suffered a massive stroke (I packed and left for NJ within 12 hours) and then he died 4 days later on Friday, July 18th. What an extremely exhausting and emotionally draining week and a half :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: I still can't believe he's gone.

Anyway, that's where I've been...and now I'm contemplating a trip for sometime in the next year, back to WDW. WDW was a special place for my DMom and I (she passed away in 2003), and my dad was the one who sent us on those first couple of trips, back in the late 70's. So this next trip will be a trip to specifically remember my parents and how they did their best for me and my siblings.

I think I had planned to copy the room service menu a few weeks ago before all this happened; I will get around to doing it eventually. We got back late last night, and I still have not even unpacked yet. It's bad enough when you get back from vacation and have to unpack, and it's even worse when returning home after seeing your last remaining parent die.

I hope everyone here is doing well, and when I get the chance I'll read back and link any and all reports and pictures to the first post on Page 1. :)

:grouphug: :grouphug: I am so sorry for your loss.

What beautiful pictures, johnsonet!!!! Thanks for sharing. Have a great time at the MK this am. A live report.......:surfweb: :cloud9:

lovemy2boys,:rotfl: Wish it were possible to make it cut and dry. I always had my children's winter coats with us for evening and early am. Shorts and swimsuits packed as well.:confused3 But it's wonderful weather for touring.

johnsonet...:yay: I've been waiting for your live report!!

I remember the first time I saw the view of the castle from our room in the hawaii building. I was in awe as well. So glad you are loving it!!!

Great pics, thanks so much for sharing. Making me want Sept to get here even faster...the wait is killing me!

Have a wonderful time and can't wait for more...:goodvibes

First, SeaSpray, my sincere condolences for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Second, I will be at the Poly in 5 days :cool1: so all of my last-minute questions will probably be coming out in the next few days. Regarding the delivery of purchases to the hotel, do they deliver straight to your room, or do you have to pick them up in one of the shops (as is done in the Value and Moderate resorts)? Thanks!

You must pick up your items at the shop UNLESS you are staying Club Level, in which case they will deliver your items to your room.

Wahhhh! This does not help BCV! ;) I want a cut and dry answer about the weather in January :) :) :)

We were in WDW in January this year (mid January). The nights were very cool, pretty much jeans and sweatshirts/windshirts with long sleeves underneath. I did bring gloves for me and the kids, and we wore them for the late nights (EMH and PNPP). They didn't take up much room and was better than spending big $$ on them in Disney if you are that cold!

Daytime was up and down. Some days were 80s where we wore shorts and went to the pool, other days were a bit cooler and DD and I wore capris.

We always had sweatshirts in the AM and then tossed them in the backpacks as the day wore on. We had also picked up a lighweight throw/blanket that was a "purchase with purchase" in the park, and the kids had that over them in the stoller on some nights as well.

Unfortunately, you just never know what winter weather will bring in Florida:rolleyes: !

When we were at WDW in January 2006, it got really cold!! Like 30! We had to buy sweatshirts and gloves, & warm hats. Of course, we bought the funny Goofy hats and we had such a good time wearing them. It was very cold when we were there, for Florida that is! I'd pack at least a sweatshirt, maybe some gloves for the kids and knit hats, b/c you never know.

Or you cold buy the Goofy ones, like we did.

Johnsonet, I am looking very forward to your live reports as well...keep'em coming!!!

If you have a chance, can you find out if the sundries shop sells Silk Soymilk Vanilla flavor?

I have decided that if they have it there, then I may not need gardengrocer after all, I can manage the rest of what we'll need.

Ditto for even November last year! Some days were hot (in the 80's) and we were able to swim. Other days were cooler (comfortable wearing jeans) and one night it got down into the 40's!! We went out and bought jackets, gloves, hats, etc. for MVMCP but then it warmed up again the day of the party and we ended up not needing them.

Best advice is to watch the forecast before you go and make sure you pack a little of everything just in case (despite what the forecast says) unless you want to pay a fortune for those items in the park. :rolleyes1

More specifically, your items will be delivered to the BouTiki shop. Keep in mind that package delivery isn't 'immediate'. It usually takes a day or two so it's best not to attempt this when you're checking out the next day. :thumbsup2

How many days out will our documents arrive? And what will be in them?

CruisingCamper, our trip is 3 weeks from today and I got my docs yesterday. Enclosed were lugguge tags (1 for each of us), flight, room, and transportation vouchers. Also, there were vouchers for a discount on a mousecraft rental, mini-golf, $15.00 off a meal at HardRock Cafe and discount on a purchase from HardRock Cafe gift shop. I think that was it. I booked the trip less than a month ago.
